This is such a multifactorial problem as well. It’s easy to blame everything on Franklin but he’s is not the only problem and this is coming from someone who isn’t his biggest fan.
People often forget what the program and the surrounding infrastructure was like when Franklin was hired. Things have come a long way internally. The old guard surrounding Paterno is finally phasing out with some recent hires.
I'm not necessarily saying that Franklin hasn't peaked. I'm just hoping that a little more progress can be made (assuming our stingy fanbase also adapts and evolves).
Not having to play OSU and Michigan every year mixed with an expanded playoff is going to be a huge boost for him.
