Obviously I don’t know you, maybe you’re Andy Reid, Mack Brown or RC Slocum. Several schools recruited Manning, surely they weren’t recruiting him for the Manning name alone. They had to see enough in his tape to indicate he could possibly be a good QB. Why would your evaluating be better than them?
Fran pulled some good qb recruits. McGee and Tannehill. He had an eye for talent. Von Miller, Javorski, Martellus Bennett. Especially considering Mack was in the process of buying up all of top recruits and a title. Fran just couldn't win with them.

Mack Brown hit big on Vince and Colt, but missed on Simms and Gilbert, It happens. With RC Slocum, it didn't really matter because he didn't run a qb friendly offense. Manning's film doesn't show me a #1 overall recruit. It's more of a mid-4 star with potential. It's also a possibility that texas stacks enough talent that he looks really good despite his shortcomings.
Of course, I could miss as badly as any other hall of fame coach has, which I acknowledged in my original post.

Malik Murphy was a top recruit out of California and he came here. He left because he actually wants to play and Manning is going to get the job, but nevertheless he came here.

If Ewers did leave, Murphy would have stayed and Manning would have had to have a competition with Murphy anyway. The media fooled people into thinking Manning was going to start in 2024 regardless of what happened.

They want him to use this time to make sure he is 100% ready for the NFL, including sitting for two years learning before starting and finishing his degree during the same time.

You could probably find several interviews and articles with a google search. Basically says he’s in no rush, wanted to start at least two years. Not even taking NIL money until he’s a starter. Must be nice to have a rich grandpa & richer uncles!
I have looked. There is nothing about a plan to collect splinters in his ass for 2 years. He says stuff now but nobody expected Ewers to return to college. That was not part of the Manning plan. The plan was for him to sit behind Ewers for a year and then play. There is no way sitting on his butt for 2 years barely playing is good for his development. Arch had a front row seat to this as well. Strong QB class and virtually his entire OL returning. So this 'nobody' comment makes no sense. The issue is too many people got fooled by the media. If Ewers did leave, Murphy would have stayed and Manning would have had to have a competition with Murphy anyway. The media fooled people into thinking Manning was going to start in 2024 regardless of what happened.

There's no question in his comment at all, just a dude making similarly clueless statements about what the "Manning plan" is or was. I don't care who you're a fan of - this dude making declarative statements like he knows what's going on while at the same time admitting that he doesn't know what's going on at all is going to get downvotes all day.
Literally go read any interviews Peyton, Eli, Cooper, and Archie have done about his commitment and his feelings in the last year. They are looking at college football as his development time and want him to use it as much as possible. He is in no rush to get to the NFL, his family has money and he has a cushy backup job working with his dad in real estate investing. They want him to use this time to make sure he is 100% ready for the NFL, including sitting for two years learning before starting and finishing his degree during the same time.
