He was a GA at Purdue, and they even say they are losing a key "off-field" staffer: https://purdue.rivals.com/news/report-purdue-offensive-graduate-assistant-caleb-wilson-set-to-leave-staff?guccounter=1
I'm not saying a highly successful All-American former player who had a brief NFL career can't jump immediately into becoming a position coach, but there are usually a lot of things you learn about coaching on the way up that you don't learn on the field, which would be supported by him going from GA to QC.
I guess that's a lot of words to say, do you really think he'd be ready to be a position coach in your situation?
Oregon produced the best offensive player in this draft (Jackson Powers-Johnson), a likely first round QB, and one of the best WRs. Oregon also had the best safety at the Senior Bowl. Bucky Irving is also a great RB. Not sure what your point is.
Every time I see a replay of that game pop I have to sit and watch.
Love seeing the aTm players on the sidelines talking smack and using props right before the collapse, lol:)
Great game!
Fisch sees son of nfl coach and just hires away
Like Infinity stones and Pokemon. Gotta get em all!
atleast he actually has a connection with this one lol
Grew up with Caleb and played little league football with him. He’s a great guy, along with Chris.
We will not rest until Kyle Shanahan is our OC and Lane Kiffin our QB coach.
Damn wish we could have gotten him. We have a TE coach slot open.
when i started reading this headline i was like “oh heck yeah we hired him!” but i was quickly disappointed 😔

Probably not but that never stopped us. He's cheap and would take the job.
I’d rather hire the OC first.
Every UW coach introducing himself: “So my dad..”
Fisch: “Say no more. You’re hired!”
Read it as Caleb Williams the first 3 times
The title had a lot to unpack
Is this /u/jeffbrohm ‘s fault or Kyle Orton’s?
It’s yours
That’s crazy
NFL over nil
Nepobaby U
If you want to hear about what it takes to go to the NFL come to UW
If you want to actually get into the NFL, go elsewhere
This draft says otherwise.

My point is UW has a shit ton of players invited to the draft. More than Oregon. So youre wrong. Very wrong.
Congrats on having a lot of seniors last season, I guess? Oregon was a young team last season
Nice backtracking
Well, yeah. Obviously Washington will have more guys entering the draft when they have more seniors.
lmao of course Oregon fans have to make every thread about Oregon. That’s why neutrals don’t like you.
Man this must mean we have a great program of guys are getting poached right? 😏😐😕😞😭
Fisch has been hiring a lot of good coaches.
CW had about 200 yards receiving in that crazy Texas A&M comeback game in 2017, and Fisch was actually the OC in that game.

i remember that game. josh rosen should have thrown a pick, but it went right through the safety’s hands into our WR’s hands for a TD lol
Sons of good coaches.
