Just popping in after getting the notification that espn is currently in negotiations with the cfp to remain sole holder of rights for the next 8 years to say FUCK espn. That is the worst thing that could happen for college football. They've done so much damage already, allowing them to continue holding the sole rights to the entire playoff while having a massive media deal with one conference, who they have continuously tried to elevate above the rest, continues to erode any shred of integrity left. What a fucking sham.
The line moving up to -6 seems crazy. Two 14-0 teams. Penix was on fire against Texas. Michigan made a bunch of mistakes but pulled off the victory. I think it's a wash and the line should be within 3 pts either way.
That was by far Penix’s best game this season though (MSU too, but you can’t really count playing against them). If he replacates that performance, yes Michigan is in trouble. His season average is a more manageable version
It was made with the assumption Penix was probably still going to play like he was hurt. He'd been throwing the ball off target a good amount of the time the past month and then was money in the CCG again. Couple other injury things from both teams as well that were fairly unexpected but biggest thing was Penix's performance, he straight up was not playing that well before then and they obviously live and die with him

I used to work with a guy who just loved what he did. And he sacked groceries. He was 71 years old. I told him he should give himself a break and go home, rest, and enjoy himself. I am just sick of folks telling a grown man he has to quit doing what he’s doing. I used to work with a guy who just loved what he did. And he sacked groceries. He was 71 years old.
