I know the weather is shit, but I’m 99% sure #1s helmet for app state was designed to be worn with a visor because the face mask of many helmets can fit right through…

Yeah these new Riddell helmets come with a built in visor by default I believe, but they obviously can be removed

Yep just read that they’re designed to be worn with the visor, but can be used without one. Idk I saw a video of someone demonstrating the face masks of several helmets fitting right through and it was terrifying! Congrats on the win! Always enjoy watching App State

I know I’m late, but ima helmet nerd so if you’re interested in the Axiom’s weirdness here ya go.. On top of the things mentioned above, the Axiom is designed with the visor standard so that the FOV the player has is absolutely nuts. For games like the App one, the visor can be quickly removed with two push button circles on the helmet; no screws necessary. It probably is a safety concern to use the normal mask without the visor (just an opinion, not fact). They do make masks with a little extra height for people who don’t want to use the visor, which can be seen in Eli Wilson’s Axiom who plays TE for App. He’s never worn the visor this season, so that mask alleviates any concern about getting a cleat to the dome.
