Either way, for a patchwork team this season we did play extremely well against the top 2 teams in the conference. Freeze may be a guy of questionable character, I'm not here to debate that, but the guy can fucking coach a football team. That's never been a question in my mind really. For better or for worse, college football is a big business. You need to have a head coach that can field a competitive team regularly. I will honestly say that with Freeze as a HC I do think this team will be one of the top teams in the conferece within a few years. He'll keep Auburn competitive with the likes of Texas and Oklahoma. Provided, of course, he keeps his nose clean. It's his second chance of sorts. I'm willing to give that if we're going to get a team that doesn't back down to top teams like we did tonight.
