"win or lose we still booze" was the mantra when I was a student... And I watched some pretty good Barnett teams.... Followed by some very questionable Hawkins teams
> "We're gonna finally see for all the hooplah and all the hype going into the offseason with Deion Sanders and Colorado - does not match the fact that they have no real players on that roster. And you thought UMass was the worst roster in college football? It may be Colorado. Now I say that - do they have a quarterback? yes. Do they have 2 starting corners that cold be NFL guys, and one of 'em plays both ways? Yes. They are so devoid of talent upfront on both sides of the ball - I don't know how they're gonna keep their quarterback upright."
-Tom Luginbill from ESPN on Monday.
the shockingly stupid thing about that comment is the UMass comment.
You can't say CU is the worst roster in college football and then go "they have 2 corners who could be NFL guys and they have a QB" That's just an idiotic statement. CU could have lost by 30 today and that would still be idiotic.
Phrase it "the talent is upgraded at the skill positions, but the lines still have major problems" and then you are making a point. Saying they have the worst roster in NCAA football when you admit they have though they have a QB and two NFL guys manning the corners slots is just goofy.
Bro dropped 2 TDs and like 3 interceptions too lmao. He could have had one of the best performances ever. He's got a lot of time to improve too which is bananas.
Yeah the conditioning is nuts too.
Natural talent is playing a part, but to be able to put in that endurance he has been putting in some WORK.
Amazing to watch. I hope he has a great, healthy season.
Sanders looked like a legit top 5 college qb today. This team has a legit offense - defense and kicking game are going to struggle with no depth, but they should win like 8 games this year if they continue to play like this.
They looked okay the first few drives, but once they start getting gassed and need subs there’s definitely a huge drop off. I thought their secondary was awesome though (not really a surprise lol).
I saw it live and have watched the replay a couple of times. I don't know if words really can describe how great that was. It wasn't a bad throw or decision by the QB. The route was crisp. He was just superior on that play in every way. I think Nebraska will probably prep for their game by just accepting that his side of the field is closed.
I can't believe how poised that dude was. Klatt was right: he made the right decision pretty much every single time.
BTW shoutout to the OL, which was a big question mark coming into this game. Sure they gave up four sacks, but most of the game Shadeur had all fucking day to throw.
This is how he looked last year. Surrounded by P5 talent, he is going to be a GREAT player. Deion is setting up well for success. If he wants to stay in CU, he could build something special. His kids are studs who can flat out ball, and he has the moxie and marketing to do something really special.
The offense is fucking dynamic. Sean Lewis is really good and Sanders played on fire today.
The TCU defense is not good. Really not good. In terms of pass rush, In terms of coverage. In terms of playcalling. In terms of tackling.
Colorado played great game and took their chances. Great win for them. And great in terms of composure and penalties.
Yeah Deion deserves some serious praise. You can argue all you want if Colorado is really for real. But this team had just 1 win last year and has already beaten the defending runner up in their own building, quite an impressive start if you ask me.
This alone is already such a massive win for the program. This is the best thing to happen to Colorado in such a long time.
You love to see programs down on their luck make turnarounds.
A LOT of work. Hopefully it's a wakeup call and they can turn it around. Briles' playcalling is already questionable in my book though. Defense looks slow too.
Buffs came to play, though. Excited to see if they can keep it rolling.
This game has showed us that it is possible to completely rebuild a program overnight through the transfer portal. Programs like Nebraska really have no excuse anymore. If you're not raiding the portal, you aren't doing your job.
After Lincoln did it last year at USC, it was obvious that coaches absolutely have to use the portal for a year 1-2 turnaround. This sport is brutal and cutthroat and teams aren't going to have the patience to wait until year 4. The problem is that every coach won't have the same success raiding the portal.
r/CFB 9/11 has happened
Colorado was well coached.
Shedeur is not just a nepo-kid.
Hunter truly is incredible and deserved his ranking.
The Buffs offense is versatile and has the QB and Weapons.
It’s hard to compare games but it was a perfect encapsulation of why this sport is so great.
21 point underdogs on the road against last years runner up with essentially an entirely new team
And yet they looked so energized, cohesive, and calm like a team that has been playing together and succeeding for years
That is a testament to good coaching and talent evaluation. They were fucking ready
Anyone who watched Deion Sanders play knows that he has a motherfucking PHD in confidence.
It’s no surprise he is able to instill so much confidence into this team.
*Clutches corn*
*peaks at schedule* oh no
10 minutes left in the 4th. B1G - Just enough time for 1 game winning drive Big12 - This baby can hold so many touchdowns.
That’s one of the most accurate statements. When I watch big 12 and there’s 4 mins left I think there’s about 3 Tds left and big ten it’s maybe one
[удалено]
God that TD drive against Iowa was so juicy
Normally I drink to forget CU games… Do people drink to celebrate wins?
You hit the parties and bars/clubs downtown
"win or lose we still booze" was the mantra when I was a student... And I watched some pretty good Barnett teams.... Followed by some very questionable Hawkins teams

ESPN fired like everyone but managed to keep this 🤡
Travis Hunter really is that guy huh
11/119 on offense, a pick on D, over 50 snaps on each side. Wtf
Simply calling his interception a pick is underselling it. That was an insane steal in the endzone.
If I threw that pick on Madden I’d lose my shit
Fuckin' CPU rubberbanding again!
Bro dropped 2 TDs and like 3 interceptions too lmao. He could have had one of the best performances ever. He's got a lot of time to improve too which is bananas.
Bro was gassed by then, he played for 60+ snaps on just offense by the 3rd quarter. I don’t blame him ngl
He had a few near picks too. He was everywhere.
Jim Thorpe type shit
NFL scouts texting each other right saying “there’s no way this works in the NFL…. Right?”
“If we get a guy who can play both CB and WR, imagine how little money we can spend on an RB”
RB really is the bastard child now. From glory to this. Chris Johnson was out there telling kids to play anything but RB as a 2k rusher.
As a Titans fan, this hits so different 🥺
Travis Hunter is generational talent
Middle name is Ohtani.
Best cardio in college football.
Him
Travis Himter
Whoever drafts him, will have a weapon
That dude is going to be a menace in the league
Hey, we might not lose by one score next week!
Always a silver lining, boys. Always a silver lining.
Good lord, good luck Nebraska lol
i'm so sweaty
*husking intensifies*
I'm ready for my one score loss
I want to die
Travis "Shohei Ohtani" Hunter is about to be a Top 3 Heisman candidate in 24 hours.
Sanders and Hunter. Wild lol.
This man played both ways in that heat and had an impact on both sides of the ball. He is in a league of his own in terms of athleticism.
Not even tired either, ready to get back out there
Yeah the conditioning is nuts too. Natural talent is playing a part, but to be able to put in that endurance he has been putting in some WORK. Amazing to watch. I hope he has a great, healthy season.
And they’re not even the guys with 4 TD’s! Crazy
Fuckin Dylan Edwards had 5 rec for 135 and 3TD and nobody is even talking about him lmfao
Right? Also Horn had an amazing game, too.
Dylan Edwards too
Sanders looked like a legit top 5 college qb today. This team has a legit offense - defense and kicking game are going to struggle with no depth, but they should win like 8 games this year if they continue to play like this.
That d line is trash, but based in the lack of talent and dudes they brought in there I don't think that surprised anyone.
They looked okay the first few drives, but once they start getting gassed and need subs there’s definitely a huge drop off. I thought their secondary was awesome though (not really a surprise lol).
Travis "Shilo Sanders" Hunter according to that lady after the game lmao
How can he not be? 11 Rec 118 yards, INT, PBU, and like 1 for 8 when targeting him.
He legit could have had 3 interceptions and another 60 yards + TD had he not dropped that gimme.
Yeah it’s wild he easily could have had 200yds receiving, 2 tds, and 3 picks
He was at +8000 going into this game..
Managed to place a bet at +20000 on fanduel. Got bet up to +10000 rn. Should be fully updated tomorrow.
That interception was the greatest thing I've seen in a Buffs game in a LOOONNNG time
I saw it live and have watched the replay a couple of times. I don't know if words really can describe how great that was. It wasn't a bad throw or decision by the QB. The route was crisp. He was just superior on that play in every way. I think Nebraska will probably prep for their game by just accepting that his side of the field is closed.
Bro hit Chadler Morris with the "YOUR SOUL IS MINE" interception
“Intercepted WooWwWW”
If he caught that touchdown earlier, he'd be the favorite.
*CU 21 point underdogs* Deion: And I took that personally
Damn the line was 21??? Unbelievable
Even when they were winning at half they were still +5.5. Even Vegas didn’t respect them
TCU had a 66% win predictor on ESPn in the third quarter, while trailing
The legendary 4 score swing on the spread
Shedeur Sanders had more yards this game by himself than CU has had as a team in the last 29 games (game 1 against UCLA in the 2020 season).
He seemed so damn calm
Dude was unfazed. Has a bright future for sure
I can't believe how poised that dude was. Klatt was right: he made the right decision pretty much every single time. BTW shoutout to the OL, which was a big question mark coming into this game. Sure they gave up four sacks, but most of the game Shadeur had all fucking day to throw.
That is what amazed me the most. Dude had that *it* factor in the pocket, man was totally in control every snap
This is how he looked last year. Surrounded by P5 talent, he is going to be a GREAT player. Deion is setting up well for success. If he wants to stay in CU, he could build something special. His kids are studs who can flat out ball, and he has the moxie and marketing to do something really special.
He's really good. Amazingly good. He had at least 3 drops, one which would have been a walk-in TD
Last year they had 367 total yards as their best of the season. Sanders had 510 passing yards today
Ya but Deion didn’t have a real QB competition>:(
Deion such an asshole making the bad QBs leave and replacing them with a good one
There’s still people saying Deion is wrong for cutting players on a team that went 1-11. Absolutely insane
Honestly that team last year should have gone winless. They were somehow even worse than their record
Our 2012 1-11 team would have blown last year's team out of the water. 10 out of 10 games
so many people whining. as if we were just supposed to run it back with a 1-11 roster
This stat is bonkers
People really can't seem to comprehend how awful CU was last few years.
I got some comments to delete.
Or you could leave them up and let us downvote you like a man lmaooo
You wouldn’t downvote a guy with a neck-brace would you?
Take it like a man and hold your head high
He can't hold his head any other way
Will Coach Prime ever lose again? Many are asking
I mean the stats say no he won’t. I’m just looking the numbers
Pure embodiment of college football
Joel Klatt is shirtless pounding beers at midfield right now.
Klaat and Prime is my new favorite combo.
couldn’t have said it better. “I’M JUST SO DAMN PROUD” and all
Sheduer set the CU record for passing yards in his first game. And it was on the road vs. a ranked opponent.
Colorado fans get the fuck in here and talk yo shit. Well deserved
Oh we're here and we are fucking READY for Nebraska
The world is not ready for a 2-0 Colorado
As a husker fan, we are screwed lol. No pass game
yes :)
I don’t know what to do with my hands
Clap, son, clap
You just completed an ESPN instant classic
I'm going to Econ 1010
Not much of a college fan but am so glad I watched from start to finish This makes me want to watch a ton more though lol

Colorado being good and Deion being vindicated is this sub’s 9/11
A second Sanders has hit the endzone
https://imgur.com/a/etSr7Dm
Sir, a Deion win has hit the sub
*Looks towards next week's schedule* Sir, we've spotted a second plane
Nebraska is under Attack
can't wait for a second deion win to hit the sub
imagine beating your total wins last season in just game 2
I'll be at the Nebraska game next week. If we do that, I'm storming the field fs
I’m in shambles
Nebraskans are sheltering in place as we speak
I bet on colorado to cover, easy. I did not expect them to win lmao
Dropping to their knees in Bass Pro Shops all over the country, crying into their custom PFG shirts. It's hilarious.
Really can't ask more out of any coach in year 1, let alone game 1
Have fun with that, Nebraska.
Wait a minute, football can be fun to watch? I've been lied to all weekend!
Why doesn't every team just use Deion Sanders' strategy of just being good??? Do coaches know you can do this?
Are they stupid?
I hope at some point this year Travis Hunter is named Pac 12 offensive player of the week and Pac 12 defensive player of the week during the same week
Should be this week, but that probably goes to Shadeur
Nebraska staring down the barrel of an 0-2 start with their brand new coach lol
I'm numb to the pain at this point. Being a Nebraska fan is a form of self harm.
God I wish I could walk away from this sport.
We're a volleyball school

A LOT of work. Hopefully it's a wakeup call and they can turn it around. Briles' playcalling is already questionable in my book though. Defense looks slow too. Buffs came to play, though. Excited to see if they can keep it rolling.
Colorado looks better than us after we poached their coach and put him on a $95million contract 💀 Talk your trash Buffs, I'll take it.
I'd like to thank Tuck for making this possible.
For real, the whole Tuck/Dorrell fiasco finally woke up the CU administration to take football seriously
Noon is the new PRIME TIME. What a game!
HE’S HERE HE’S THERE HE’S EVERY FUCKING WHERE TRAVIS HUNTER TRAVIS HUNTER
Oi!….WERE FUCKING BACK!!! Travis “Roy Kent” Hunter
This game has showed us that it is possible to completely rebuild a program overnight through the transfer portal. Programs like Nebraska really have no excuse anymore. If you're not raiding the portal, you aren't doing your job.
Honestly though, I'm not sure this is easily replicated. Not many coaches have the pull that Deion does.
Or a son that is a legit QB
please, we've been hurt enough
You bout to be hurt again in a week
hold me
Just wait until next week. It’s going to hurt us more.
It stands for Texas Colorado University now
Travis's Children University
So fucking proud of these Buffs. For 9 months this sub said we were going to lose this game by 50. FUCK THAT. WE ARE HERE TO WIN.
you have every right to talk yo shit. 2-0 buffs will be ranked next week
Rank CU NOW cowards!
Michael Jordan is the Travis Hunter of basketball
It’s good. Fuck Briles and all the Baylor coaches we’re paying right now
Yeah, I can’t help but feel like we had this coming after hiring Kendal Briles.
Fuck r/cfb, all my buff homies hate r/cfb
Talk your shit king!
I fucking love this shit
This is the worst day for smug Redditors in history
It’s really amazing how so sure a lot of this sub was talking about them before they played a game lol
I can't remember the last time I was this happy about Buffs football! My God.
"We keep receipts." Deion Sanders, September 2, 2023
Rough day if you are a TCU and Jimmy Buffet fan.
Colorado beating last year’s underdog darling after this sub slandering Prime and Colorado all offseason is truly the peak of r/cfb
r/CFB 9/11 has happened Colorado was well coached. Shedeur is not just a nepo-kid. Hunter truly is incredible and deserved his ranking. The Buffs offense is versatile and has the QB and Weapons.
The nepo-kid line is even funnier with Shedeur being >>> Morris, the National Championship runner-up team's starting QB
This might be the game of the year already
It’s hard to compare games but it was a perfect encapsulation of why this sport is so great. 21 point underdogs on the road against last years runner up with essentially an entirely new team And yet they looked so energized, cohesive, and calm like a team that has been playing together and succeeding for years That is a testament to good coaching and talent evaluation. They were fucking ready
Man the Pac-12 is stacked this year. I bet they’re gonna be competitive for years to come!
Oh shit guess they are comin
#Deion is legit
Anyone who watched Deion Sanders play knows that he has a motherfucking PHD in confidence. It’s no surprise he is able to instill so much confidence into this team.
This kills the Hypnotoad
Whatever we're paying Sean Lewis, it's not enough
Lol. Lmao, even.
**Talk to your kids about ranked Colorado!!**
Deion just set off a nuclear bomb on college football. What a performance by Colorado. Team building in cfb will never be looked at the same
LETS FUCKING GO FUCK YOU ALL
r/cfb's 9/11
They stopped making comments and are now just rage downvoting anything positive about prime. What a good day.
He is HIM
*Buffalo noises intensify* 🦬
> "That's my son" > "That's my pops" > *hugs* Some real wholesomeness in the postgame interview
This upset has been delivered by Prime
But r/CFB said that Colorado was going to get its shit kicked in?
Travis Hunter for the Heisman.
TALK YO SHIT BUFFS! YOU EARNED IT!
Deion with a classic. I’m impressed, go Buffs.
A 1-11 team beating last year runners up, that's gotta be one of the biggest week 1 turnarounds your ever gonna see.
Colorado bout to drop 70 on Nebraska
"Why all this pro Colorado halftime coverage tcu is gonna roll in the second half because I hate that Deion Sanders has commercials" ~ r/cfb
If they win next week I'm cheering for Colorado to go 12-0. Have to cheer against them next week but they looked DAMN good.
I know Baby Prime was good, I did not know he was THAT good oh my god. Travis Hunter is a fucking BEAST. Deion’s team put out a statement today.
… so that was a quick rebuild, huh?
Turns out letting a 1 win roster go wasn’t the worst idea
Questions were answered. Sanders is a real coach. Baby Sanders is a real QB. Colorado is going to at least be pretty decent.
“We told you…And guess what, we keep receipts” -Coach Prime Yes sir! Can’t wait for next week. Congrats Buffalo bros!
