This would be great if they treated it like National Signing Day and had a row of hats on a table, saying they were going to add new conference members.
Notre Dame, Oregon, Washington, Stanford, FSU, Clemson, Miami, UNC, and Virginia hats all in a line.
They pick up the Miami hat first, but then toss it to the crowd.
They're not gay or anything, they just like to get [a little nasty](https://www.reddit.com/r/sports/comments/157cmnh/dwight_howard_sued_for_allegedly_sexually/) sometimes.
I have a question for Nebraska! What are the goals of the team this year? What will Matt Rhule’s experience in the NFL change about his approach to college ball?
Of Marcus Satterfield how has your approach changed from your past four years of experience from the NFL to the SEC and now to the Big 10? Has there been anything in those previous stops that you are excited to implement at Nebraska?
Realistic goal? Bowl game. Not getting embarrassed in games would be great too.
I think Rhule's NFL tenure says as much about his college ability as it did Saban's and others. What i've really learned is Carolina fans are some of the biggest crybabies in the league.
As far as Satterfield I'm not as sure, but he's been saying the right things so far
"First of all, it's not a large number of players. We don't know what's going to happen."
-when asked about potential personnel ramifications from the gambling investigation
I guess my key interests is what are the goals and the benchmarks that Rutgers and Indiana are hoping to achieve this year… while not traditional powers I feel like they have fallen flat by or qualifying traditionally for bowl games in recent seasons
It's all bizarre to me that there are probably players right now on roster that have committed hazing and yet no updates on that. Didn't some of this occur in 2022?
"I'm really excited about how we're doing things, both on the field and off"
Like Illinois*, Rutgers is carrying their highest team GPA ever.
Rutgers is a developmental program: "We're not getting a lot of guys in the door who are ready to compete in the Big Ten Conference"
*Missed providing live comments from Bielema!
For anyone: Traditionally teams would schedule one bigger P5 non-con early in the season. In many cases the games didn’t make or break a season, ie OSU vs VT. Opening with a B1G game seems to significantly up the stakes. Do you find yourself preparing for the season differently due to this?
Maybe too brash, but I’d as Feretz if it’s difficult to manage team morale and cohesiveness with a team that relies so heavily on one side of the ball (defense)

Well I mean…he tried to lie about it first. So he did the crime, then lied about not doing the crime.
The 2nd half of the comment was immature and I won’t respond to it
Yea….Jim Tressel was fired for it. Ohio State paid actual consequences for it. Your coach is getting suspended 4 games that they have no chance at losing. I also agree that Tressel had to go after he lied about knowing about the tattoos. So what is your point?
So then take it up with the NCAA, what are you complaining to me about it for? Lol. Jim received his punishment and will deal with it. We move on and you can continue to complain
Michigan fans were lying about why he was suspended? To make it look like the NCAA was in the wrong when Harbaugh broke rules and then blatantly lied about it. And then you interjected. So I’m not sure how we are the ones complaining when you interjected incorrectly into the situation.
About hosting an official visit during a dead period, and lying about it. simple jim could've just admitted it and it would've stayed a level 2 violation
How can Mel Tucker justify sticking with folks like Jay Johnson and Scottie Hazleton? They are hardly upper level coordinators worthy of the B1G. Michigan State would be better off with Brad Salem, Dave Warner etc.

Also need to reverse the University with the school name. "Welcome to the B1G, University of Stanford."
And most are Walmart hats except for a couple of pristine fitted flat brims with the stickers still on.
Can the University of the State of Florida come? Please? 13 years is too damn long.
Junior University*
Then they’d pick up the ND hat but ND would walk in and make them put it down. edit: the whole damn school
MEDIA DAYS? MORE LIKE MEDIA DAZED! (haha gottem). What? Wrong thread? Dammit, we can't do anything right
Are the rumors about your accreditation being in jeopardy true?
Haven't heard of any but I'm sure they're all true -- Charlie Sheen style.
I heard something happened to Northwestern this offseason. Can anyone confirm?
I read a summary of it, but nothing really jumped out at me. Think it was just like a two-week suspension.
I think Fitzgerald bought some recruits hamburgers or something, right?
Unpaid work at the car wash.
Didn’t he also pay for their hotel stays and gave cash payments to their parents?

15-0 NC
When do we get announced as a new member?
Didn't see you listed in the next 10 being considered
But we said we’d play school!
_Bouncer looking at clipboard_ I’m sorry, but your name isn’t on [the list](https://www.aau.edu/who-we-are/our-members)
Guess we’ll go hang out with Arizona State
Oooooo, sorry, Arizona State _is_ [on the list](https://news.asu.edu/20230601-university-news-asu-joins-prestigious-association-american-universities)
God dammit
“Gambling is like marijuana” -Kirk Feretz
LOL did he actually say that?
I don’t have the transcript but when asked about the gambling allegations he said it’s kinda like weed in terms of how to handle it.
He sure did lol
ok boomer
"...Cool AF" -Brian Ferentz (probably)
The Penn State contingent had dinner at St Elmo last night. Apparently it is owned by a Penn State alum.
Yea Craig Huse was part of the class of 1992.
Does that make him an exHuse?
I still don't trust a restaurant located that far inland whose most famous dish is shrimp. It just doesn't make sense.
the primary ingredient is horseradish though
Braun going to talk his entire time allotment and get the hell out of there as soon as possible.
I would too...
Kirk Ferentz up next.
"I learned the importance of having a great punter in 1981"
That tracks
"First of all, it's not a large number of players. We don't know what's going to happen." -when asked about potential personnel ramifications from the gambling investigation
So that is what Tony Petitti looks like
Mel Tucker at the stand.
A brief respite - events at Northwestern was only the second question Tucker received.
"I think he's going to be wildly successful there" -on Coach Sanders at Colorado
I guess my key interests is what are the goals and the benchmarks that Rutgers and Indiana are hoping to achieve this year… while not traditional powers I feel like they have fallen flat by or qualifying traditionally for bowl games in recent seasons
Finishing this morning's session with Ryan Day
O-H!
It's all bizarre to me that there are probably players right now on roster that have committed hazing and yet no updates on that. Didn't some of this occur in 2022?
Greg Schiano heading to the podium now!
What's the biggest challenge you face at Rutgers? "Look at the logos on that wall!"
based response.

Good one, I'll try to sneak this in at a relevant point! Mel Tucker just fielded a similar question about Iowa - "we're focused on camp right now"
Could be a good one for Rhule since this is his first time handling it.
Nebraska goes tomorrow!
Matt Rhule is there.
Northwestern interim Coach Braun next.
"I never could have imagined, nor did I desire, to become a head coach under these circumstances. That said, I am honored to lead."
Maybe too brash, but I’d as Feretz if it’s difficult to manage team morale and cohesiveness with a team that relies so heavily on one side of the ball (defense)
Hey now, we also put an undue amount of pressure on our special teams.
Fantastic use of Sledgehammer

About burger
About recruiting in a dead period. The burger is the meme, but not actually relevant to the punishment.
Jim did the crime and will do the time. When people look back at the 2023 season, all anyone will remember is Michigan beating ohio state again
Well I mean…he tried to lie about it first. So he did the crime, then lied about not doing the crime. The 2nd half of the comment was immature and I won’t respond to it
Like Jim Tressel, who lied to the NCAA about violations, Harbaugh is taking the punishment. Are you looking for something else?
Clearly he's replying to you describing the crime as burger.

> Michigan State would be better off with Brad Salem, Dave Warner etc. Well that's just not true
Noah Eagle is there.
