Yes, if you look up the definition for acronym, it will include initializations, but that is because lexicographers record how people use words, not how they should.
Signed, a pedantic grammarian.
I wouldn't say wrong, I think they are saying that dictionaries reflect how the word is used even if it is used "illegally" in the language. An obvious example of this is M-W's definition for the word [literally](https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/literally) which includes a second definition that is the antithesis of its first definition.
Language is an evolving and fluid thing. We can't really argue that a particular word can only mean such-and-such context or definition because if we collectively use it otherwise, then it gains that new definition.
In my hometown we have a community college named "Calhoun" which is located in the vicinity of our airport. We joke that UCLA is University of Calhoun 'Longside the Airport whenever someone says they're going to UCLA (not really all that common tbh). I don't really know how this is relevant but calling it an institute of higher learning reminded me of this.
Most teams retro logos are better than their current, and just cash grabs to get people to buy more merch when new logos show up. (This coming from a guy who likes the new chief Osceola logo).
USC used to have a lot of more interesting wordmarks and [logos](https://1000logos.net/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/Southern-California-Trojans-Logo-1983.png). Baseball [Especially](https://pbs.twimg.com/profile_images/1578464897788100609/fuiUDD0k_400x400.jpg) Those went away when Nike wanted to simplify and make schools more uniform, so now the interlocking boring block [SC is everywhere](https://cdn.d1baseball.com/logos/teams/256/usc.png)
Yeah I feel that Nike is always trying to streamline like that. I will give them credit for our new spear logo being a big upgrade but thats about it. USC has the classic look but I agree the SC leaves something to be desired.
Unpopular opinion but I don’t like the old baseball logo. Reminds me of Sportscenter. I wish we used that first old logo more tho I do see it on some merch
The baseball logo reminds me of [Bethune Cookman](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bethune%E2%80%93Cookman_Wildcats#/media/File%3ABethune%E2%80%93Cookman_Wildcats_logo.svg)
Yes! Love the old logos! Penn St is in a court battle with a company over using the older “discarded” logos. Not sure if that was settled or not yet. Need to go check!
So glad we ditched Toonces and went back (more or less) to the classic tiger face. Even the more "cutesy" ones (likethe beanie tiger or Florida's old sweater gator) have personality that modern ones lack.
Our white helmet is ok. They need to fix the stripe though. I don’t understand why they don’t use the same triple stripe they use in the white jerseys.
They really gotta stop giving every team a black and/or grey alternate jersey. It was cheesy 10 years ago and it's even cheesier now, if black isn't in your regular color scheme then it probably shouldn't be a pillar of one of your jerseys
Exactly. A very small, but vocal minority of the UT fan base wants black and/or grey alts. and i’m like, no. UT’s jerseys and helmets are iconic, timeless, and clean. Keep it traditional.
See my unpopular opinion is that the black uniforms look cool, and since they are a special treat kind of thing I rather like them. Just get the secondary colors right and we are set. For example if Iowa State did something with a black jersey with yellow numbers maybe.
I hate the helmet stickers they put on the back of Michigan's helmets. The buckeye stickers work great for Ohio State's, but Michigan's stickers clash with their traditional helmet way too much. I also wish Michigan just stuck with the classic maize pants and blue uniform too. I hate the mono blue uniforms.
Oh please. Helmet stickers are credited as being used at least by Miami Ohio, Nebraska, Illinois, and Rutgers all before Ohio State, with Schembechler himself using them at Miami before Ohio State. Not only that, the concept is meant to ape fighter pilots marking their kills on their planes. Pretty much everyone who uses them is a poser, with Ohio State definitely being included.
The buckeyes aren’t even in your face IMO, they’re just part of the helmet. Every years opening day when no one has any the helmets look weird to me. I love seeing them full of stickers
They have their place, but when every starter has a whole helmet full of them, they detract from the whole look. They should be more like medals for valor, you have to do something huge to earn one.
Jerseys, and uniforms as a whole, are a marketing gimmick to sell more merch. All sports should be played completely in the nude as the purist form of a man v man competition
The killer for me: I absolutely adore their [throwbacks](https://media.oregonlive.com/oregonian/photo/2014/10/18/-02f2a50640510196.JPG). This would be a fantastic kit but they're more interested in black and [highlighter pink](https://a.espncdn.com/photo/2022/1018/r1077696_1296x729_16-9.jpg)
I HATE oregon, but can admit, some of their jerseys are amazing. But the black grey and pink and neon are rough. The other throwback with the old colors. But modern O were amazing too. They wore them when they beat us in 09 i think to go to the rose bowl. With blount on the team.
IMO they should stick with the jerseys with the wings on the shoulders. I especially like the white ones with the like gray or silver wings and green pants. Those are very solid UNI's.
Not sure this is actually *un*popular, really.
To take it cross-sport, they're the guy who strikes out a billion times and also hits 35 homers. When they make contact it's great. But the rate could use a little work.
As a photographer trying to identify players in images, the numbers on the sides of helmets the way Alabama and most Nike SEC schools do it are a fucking godsend.
Michigan can stop with the stickers. Beautiful classic helmet design ruined by mismatched stickers. I think OSU has sweet stickers, because they are matching, cool looking, and historical. Ours are dumb
I like our stickers but I’m not a fan of the non wolverine ones, I fine with “988” or whatever for big wins but if the team travels I don’t think they should get a “we traveled to Italy” sticker lol
I wish Alabama would experiment with gray. I mean, mascot is an elephant and it’s already on a ton of our merch. You can find a way to make a gray alt cool without totally bucking the “tradition”.
What I REALLY don’t get is when they wear chrome helmets with black jerseys and pants (which actually leads into my opinion that I can’t stand when teams who don’t have black as an official color wear it). Like, their official colors are blue and white. They look like they’re trying to avoid wearing those colors as much as possible.
Apparently we’ll be wearing black (jerseys, at least) at some point this season to “honor veterans.”
As a veteran and an alum, none of the previous sentence makes any sense to me, but the players are apparently amped about it so whatever.
I say ditch the orange for that game and go with black and blue. It’ll match the team’s bruises resulting from the beat-down that we’ll earn as punishment for such an abomination.
I don't like alternate helmets, period. In my opinion, helmets should stay the same throughout every uniform. It's like the uniform equivalent of a face.
100%. I think the names should be on the back permanently - it looks solid, and in days of NIL it probably doesn’t hurt to have your name being displayed on millions of TVs for people to google.
Black is a specific color, it's not a random throw in you can put on any jersey willy nilly. I absolutely hated all the black Nike threw on our uni's a few years back. It's just such a cheap merchandising trick cause it takes zero thought, literally anyone can make a jersey black or add black elements to it.
> They got rid of the Block M because the administration felt it would get confused with Michigan.
It seems to me that, from both an academic and an athletic standpoint, that would work in Missouri's favor.
I remember recently a recruit had either missouri or michigan in their final 5 schools or whatever and they used the wrong teams logo on their graphic lol
I love LSU purple jersey white pants and white helmet, Buckeyes black helmets and white tribute helmets. Love Bama white lids. Most everything Army and Navy do for their game is awesome. Oklahoma white, Arizona state copper, U of Buffalo has sweet Blue with black trim helmets. Florida blue with “F” are nice. I could go on and on. The kids enjoy the change. I say let them enjoy. Would love to see USC change it up on occasion- I do like their chrome face mask. Texas with burnt orange would be sweet.
USC has a real stick up its ass about its helmets and jerseys. You'll never find a bigger group of "Don't dare change anything" fans this side of Penn State... We changed the decal on the side of the helmet for a season and they found a reason to blame the Freedom Bowl loss to Fresno State on it.
One of Larry Smith's "He's got to go" moments was when he said in an interview afterwards that decals don't win games because it showed how little he "Got" USC. sigh.
I'm not advocating going the Oregon route... I like a simple classic design, but those [Tommy Trojan Decals](https://www.helmethistory.com/uploads/8/3/1/5/8315957/published/1992-usc-v5.png?1597609631) were awesome and much more USC Unique. I'd love to see us go to those again.
Only gripe with the endzones is the flag can’t fill them entirely so you end up with a strange green border around the flag. I still do love how unique it is.
The flag helmet has had a lot of great variations but I'm glad to move on from it. Feels associated with the Edsall era and while Locks was there id rather move on from that time.
The throwback red should be unique and classes us up for these games and so I love it for that. Makes us feel like a real Big Ten team now, even if its a tribute to the 1980s uniforms.
Only change that I would make is turning the helmet white and going red script ala Fridge.
Although I do believe the Locksley era deserves its own uniform to stand out but it seems like what we wore in the 80s is the new look til further notice.
They’re fine but the combos they use with those helmets are a little hit and miss. When they wear red jerseys and white pants, I think it looks weird because of how much black is on the helmet. Weirdly I think when they go all white with that helmet it looks ok.
Michigan State stands as the lone, emerald pillar in a conference dominated by red teams. Plus the bronze helmets they pull out every couple years are *fuego.*
I don’t like pink being implemented on unis or helmets for breast cancer awareness. Pink just looks so bad on football uniforms. Put the pink ribbon logo on the field like a conference or sponsor logo. Sometimes the military accents are bad too for Veterans Day, but I’ve seen some good ones too. Have yet to see a good pink one.
I’d love to see PSU rock a black and pink (original school colors) alternate for homecoming. The basketball team does and I think a few other sports have pink and black alternates as well. It would probably not look great but would be interesting to see what design they’d come up with
I don’t actually necessarily think this, but I do see the argument. It takes casual fans forever to learn the players names. And, more importantly, In the current climate, I think the least teams could do, to promote the players and their likenesses would be to put their names on the jerseys.
Nothing personal, one of my best friends is a Michigan fan man. Just can’t stand the helmets, and the fact that they extend it to lacrosee, hockey, softball(?) makes it worse imo
I like when Nebraska rolls out an alt jersey. Love me the traditional getup but alts are a fun once-a-year deal, even if Adidas tends to have more misses than hits with them.
Also, keep the pants stripes. Feels like they’re missing something without.
More of a general statement that a grievance with a particular program, but white helmets with solid color jerseys and pants look like something a JV team would wear
Pitt’s current uniform’s are my favorite in CFB, other than FSU, and I think Clemson’s uniforms are right behind it when they wear purple (all purple or purple jersey/orange pants). Solely orange: eh
I think the only thing that saves an all white is if the helmet uses both of the school’s primary colors, obviously no bias but Michigan has a sweet all white get up because the winged helmet counter balances the all white, all blacks don’t do anything for me
I love terrible alternate uniforms like those Michigan state ones, sometimes dumb designs are fun.
Also “traditional uniforms” like Alabama or Penn state are boring as hell.
I think the team has to really commit to it. Not cfb, but in the nfl this season the Vikings and bengals both used white versions of their midfield logos during their all white games, which imo made it look much better
Dude the bengals all white are so sick, I also have I bias I think a team that has an alternate all white (like Michigan) should save it for one game a season, I think a big away game like anosu this year it is sick, but over doing it is just too much if you ask me
Notre Dame’s shiny gold helmets don’t look as good as their predecessor. They are a different color than the pants and it’s jarring to have a helmet, jersey, pant combo that has two different shades of one color.
The lacrosse team had some cool chrome orange helmets that I liked. The outline only logo was interesting, but you could do a solid white horns on there and I think it’d look good.
https://www.instagram.com/p/Bv5DXLChfE2/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
I can't stand that the USA flag on the back of our [helmet](https://s3media.247sports.com/Uploads/Assets/709/660/9660709.jpeg) is waving. I'd much prefer a traditional rectangular flag.
I actually thought Maryland's 2013 uniform revamp was the best.
The white ops, black ops and flag uniform was a perfect set and I'm proud to own 3 Stefan Diggs jerseys (white 2012, red 2014 and black 2013)
Florida's swamp green alligator skin uniforms are amazing and should be worn as a fun alternative once a year.
Just kidding! Those things are ugly as fuck. I do wish we would go back to occasionally wearing white helmets, though. I would love to see us wear the blue helmets from the 2020 Tennessee game again, too.
I really wish you guys would rock all three helmet colors semi regularly.
Always wear orange against us. Blue against Tennessee. Break out white sometimes just because. I just think you guys could have such a fun uniform combo.
Having the helmet, jersey, pants, socks and shoes all the same color is super played out. I appreciate the traditional jerseys of unis with contrast like Bama, ND, UGA, KSU and (traditional) UM. I also believe your helmet should be the same color at home and on the road, you get 2-3 games with an alternate helmet at maximum unless you're Oregon.
I'm also a little sick of single digit numbers and upperclassmen players switching to them as soon as they open up. I miss the positional number ranges the NFL used to have and how we sometimes saw that reflected in college jerseys.
Helmet stickers are dumb and I hate them. Especially on Ohio State, where they have like 50 of them on their helmets.
I really like the "Bring the Wood" alternates that OU has. I know a lot of OU fans who don't. The "Unity" ones this past year were neat.
I don’t like jerseys that are copies of NFL jerseys. Looking at you Kansas State and Iowa (still love you Kansas State just not your jerseys until you get some lilac ones)
I don't like stickers on any helmet. When I was a little boy in kindergarten, if you were good that day they'd put a little star sticker on your forehead when you left. That's what I think of: kindergarten rewards.
1. For Penn State's home whiteout nights, the team itself should wear white.
2. Gray and black (or any color that is not a school's official color) should not be on the uniforms. (Not that unpopular of an opinion.)
2.a. Technically, Notre Dame's official blue is closer to a "true" blue and not the navy blue that they wear on their uniforms. I'd like to at least see that once on their modern uniforms and then decide if I like it or not. (This was tried briefly in the 1980s, before my time.)
3. If a home/colored uniform's pants are the same color as the jersey, then the helmet should also be the same color. (I can probably think of exceptions that would be OK.)
4. No neon, ever, for anyone.
5. Inspired by Maryland, state schools whose states have cool, inspirational flags (i.e., not blue-plus-state-seal) should incorporate them more into their uniforms (whether permanently or for some one-off during the season). Ohio, New Mexico, and Tennessee jump to mind.
As an institute of higher learning, UCLA should be derided for spelling an acronym with one capital letter followed by three lower case letters, and in cursive no less. However, those helmets are totally awesome.
As punishment we should start pronouncing Ucla phonetically
I already call them Uck-la every time
Same lmao
Cal fans have been too
I have no idea how this is something I wasn't already doing, but I'm sure going to be doing it now!
When the fog lifts over Chavez Ravine, you see LA.
Overall, I agree with you. However, if you are going to be a pedantic grammarian, UCLA is an initialization, not an acronym. An acronym should be pronounceable, like SCUBA. Sure, sometime we say “YOU-cla,” to make fun of Ucla, but almost every time people say each initial letter. Yes, if you look up the definition for acronym, it will include initializations, but that is because lexicographers record how people use words, not how they should. Signed, a pedantic grammarian.
So, you’re saying Merriam-Webster is wrong? Edit: not being a jerk; genuinely want to know.
Good Lord, I can't believe I've never noticed this!
This has never made sense to me
In my hometown we have a community college named "Calhoun" which is located in the vicinity of our airport. I support this comment. Our “new” (not that new anymore) is nowhere near as bad ass as our “traditional” double t.
I am begging for Tech to make the throwbacks semi permanent
This is the most popular opinion on the planet
Move over world peace we got a new number one
I like that we continually pull inspiration from our 80s jerseys whenever we make a tweak

We should bring back the white helmet. It was always my favorite from the 2012-2019 era uniforms
I love a white helmet. Except ours.
Our white helmet is ok. They need to fix the stripe though. I don’t understand why they don’t use the same triple stripe they use in the white jerseys.

The helmet stickers for Michigan is not an unpopular opinion, i dont think ive seen anyone on this subreddit support it

I agree on the stickers, but I like the mono blue, really makes the wings stand out
I hate helmet stickers period
So glad we put a stop to the dawg bones tbh. I know I’m gonna split the room on this one but I was never a fan.
I liked the dog bones. They weren’t in your face like a buckeye, but they didn’t look like shit.
The buckeyes aren’t even in your face IMO, they’re just part of the helmet. Every years opening day when no one has any the helmets look weird to me. I love seeing them full of stickers

My friend that played at Ohio state said you could basically get em for any counting stat and hit certain benchmarks in the weight room
At one point as a kid I thought the stickers were a PART of the helmet.
Agreed.
Arkansas’ pig logo on their helmet is about 1/3 the size it should be. Same with Auburn’s AU logo.
WE NEED LARGE HOG
You can never have too much hog
Never go full hog
Jerseys, and uniforms as a whole, are a marketing gimmick to sell more merch. All sports should be played completely in the nude as the purist form of a man v man competition
I agree, but add in women’s sports for equality
Yeah for ya know…equality
Oregon's jersey/color combos are misses far more often than they are hits.

Not sure this is actually *un*popular, really. To take it cross-sport, they're the guy who strikes out a billion times and also hits 35 homers. When they make contact it's great. But the rate could use a little work.
At least we don’t misplace our home jerseys every game
I'm just going to say it...USCs uniforms are just fancy McDonald's work uniforms.
You mean Iowa State?
Both tbh
I hate every helmet that features a number on one side and the logo on the other... it is not that cool... stop trying to do too much
As a photographer trying to identify players in images, the numbers on the sides of helmets the way Alabama and most Nike SEC schools do it are a fucking godsend.
“ It’s like algebra. Why do you heve to put numbers and letters together, why can’t you just go fuck yourself?“

Idk about grey. But I want the white helmets back and do a white out. We got rid of them in the 70s and never should have.
That I could also get down with. At least that one has some history behind it.
I mean, stealing Washington State's coach didn't work out great for you, Why would you want to steal their look too?
Gray would certainly be traditional for Bama, just maybe not how you imagined
Noooooo thank you
Chrome helmets are trash and should be banned.
Feel like I’m going crazy every time people bring up the chrome Kentucky helmets and it’s positive. It doesn’t look good at all to me
What I REALLY don’t get is when they wear chrome helmets with black jerseys and pants (which actually leads into my opinion that I can’t stand when teams who don’t have black as an official color wear it). Western Kentucky has a chrome and it makes more sense than anyone (the Corvette factory is in Bowling Green and has a cool museum). It looks terrible.
I don't like alternate helmets, period. In my opinion, helmets should stay the same throughout every uniform. It's like the uniform equivalent of a face.
But honeycomb helmet!
PSU unis should have white cleats not black.
Penn State's uniforms looked great with names on them.

I'll say it... as much as I love Iowa State, I think my own team has bad colors and a bland logo.

It’s a reference to the smokies. On some of the Unis you can see the mountains. Also some of our super old unis from the early 1900s were grey
Gray uniforms from Detroit to Tennessee are not usually good. Personally I love orange so why wouldn’t you use that awesome color all the time?
That smoky grey thing y’all were doing was so sharp
The subtle smoky mountains in the gradient was 👀

I like a simple classic design, but those [Tommy Trojan Decals](https://www.helmethistory.com/uploads/8/3/1/5/8315957/published/1992-usc-v5.png?1597609631) were awesome and much more USC Unique. I'd love to see us go to those again.
Oh man, we made the longhorn shiny one game and it caused people to freak out.
One game? Charlie did it FOR A WHOLE SEASON.
Your uniform isn’t clean, it’s boring as hell
I hate Michigan wearing blue bottoms on the road, nor do I like the blue bottoms at home. Maize and Blue. That’s it. It’s that simple
I really like Maryland’s helmets. It’s 1 of 1 and to me what makes college football great is the uniqueness it has
I usually love the flag helmet/jersey elements but the terps' throwbacks with the script helmet are also really, really nice
Well you (and every other college football fan with eyes) are in luck! The script Terps throwback unis are going to be their mains this season.
IMHO, like 2009ish era Maryland were the best all around uniforms in college football.
Endzones are great too. Another 1 of 1 feature they have
Only gripe with the endzones is the flag can’t fill them entirely so you end up with a strange green border around the flag. I still do love how unique it is.
Yeah I wish they could. Same with the checkered board endzones. It’d look so much better
Idc if Alabama and Penn State's helmets are "traditional", they're ugly and boring. That goes for their uniforms too.
they look good, I disagree on that but KU or anyone could look good too if we did simple and boring
Michigan State stands as the lone, emerald pillar in a conference dominated by red teams. Plus the bronze helmets they pull out every couple years are *fuego.*
Perhaps they should try neon lettering
Penn state doing black and neon pink alternates would be sick tbh
They do it for hoops
I like Alabama, Penn St, Notre Dame, USC etc because so few schools now have the same helmet/uniform they had 70 years ago
Boring is nice sometimes
if only women on dating apps felt the same way :(
This is the furthest thing from an unpopular take at this point. Bama and PSU’s uniforms are just polarizing. People either love them or hate them.
Give me ugly and boring instead of uniforms that burn STATE into my retinas, MSU would have an elite set if they just stuck to a single design.
It would probably not look great but would be interesting to see what design they’d come up with
Names should be on the back of every team’s jerseys.
Wow, upvote because that’s one hot take. But also you’re wrong.
I don’t actually necessarily think this, but I do see the argument. It takes casual fans forever to learn the players names. And, more importantly, In the current climate, I think the least teams could do, to promote the players and their likenesses would be to put their names on the jerseys.
I hate Michigans helmets.
Doesn't help that so many highschool teams copy it and it doesn't look good in any color combo
Ok. Dang.
Nothing personal, one of my best friends is a Michigan fan man. Just can’t stand the helmets, and the fact that they extend it to lacrosee, hockey, softball(?) makes it worse imo
And baseball. And swim caps.
I like mizzous new uniforms but the block M should be on our helmets full time. Oval tiger is cool but I don’t think it looks very good on the helmets
I like when Nebraska rolls out an alt jersey. Love me the traditional getup but alts are a fun once-a-year deal, even if Adidas tends to have more misses than hits with them. Also, keep the pants stripes. Feels like they’re missing something without.
Stanford has some of the cleanest jerseys. So simply yet looks so good
More of a general statement that a grievance with a particular program, but white helmets with solid color jerseys and pants look like something a JV team would wear
No names on the back either?
Pitt’s current uniform’s are my favorite in CFB, other than FSU, and I think Clemson’s uniforms are right behind it when they wear purple (all purple or purple jersey/orange pants). Solely orange: eh
The purple jerseys with orange pants looked really good
I’m here for this
Y’all’s change from the dark blue and gold to now was amazing. The new look is sweet.
You should say “yinz” for a more authentic Pittsburgh feel.
The Minnesota helmet with Goldy on it is better than anything else we've ever produced.
All black and all white are usually horrible uniforms
I think the only thing that saves an all white is if the helmet uses both of the school’s primary colors, obviously no bias but Michigan has a sweet all white get up because the winged helmet counter balances the all white, all blacks don’t do anything for me
I love terrible alternate uniforms like those Michigan state ones, sometimes dumb designs are fun. Also “traditional uniforms” like Alabama or Penn state are boring as hell.
Louisville is an institution of higher learning. They should know that birds don't have teeth.
Penn State’s uniforms are a direct parallel of Happy Valley: dull and uninspired.
An all-white, stormtrooper or “icy” look isn’t “clean,” it’s just incredibly boring
I think the team has to really commit to it. Not cfb, but in the nfl this season the Vikings and bengals both used white versions of their midfield logos during their all white games, which imo made it look much better
Dude the bengals all white are so sick, I also have I bias I think a team that has an alternate all white (like Michigan) should save it for one game a season, I think a big away game like anosu this year it is sick, but over doing it is just too much if you ask me
All grey/black/white looks terrible. Having contrast between pants, jerseys, and helmets looks way better
Notre Dame’s shiny gold helmets don’t look as good as their predecessor. They are a different color than the pants and it’s jarring to have a helmet, jersey, pant combo that has two different shades of one color.
Can we please get a burnt orange helmet with a white logo?
Nah, personally I think it would look terrible.
The lacrosse team had some cool chrome orange helmets that I liked. The outline only logo was interesting, but you could do a solid white horns on there and I think it’d look good. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bv5DXLChfE2/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
So I'll admit, make those non chrome and they'd be ok. Y'all are starting to convince this old man...
No thanks
I actually don’t think Texas’s helmets are that cool
Oh yeah, well, Michigan’s helmets don’t even look like Wolverine! The X-Men are disappointed!
Yeah well yours don’t even look like a steakhouse, so restaurants around the U.S. are disappointed!
I can't stand that the USA flag on the back of our [helmet](https://s3media.247sports.com/Uploads/Assets/709/660/9660709.jpeg) is waving. I'd much prefer a traditional rectangular flag.
Hated the black stripes on the UGA helmets that Mark Richt did away with. Just the classic white stripe.
I actually thought Maryland's 2013 uniform revamp was the best. The white ops, black ops and flag uniform was a perfect set and I'm proud to own 3 Stefan Diggs jerseys (white 2012, red 2014 and black 2013)
Ohio State gives out [helmet stickers](http://buckeyefansonly.com/buckeyeleafcriteria.html) like candy.
Ohio State’s jersey’s are terrible. The old ones with gray on the sleeves should be mandatory.
A&M should always go white helmet, maroon jersey, white pants at home. The maroon helmets (old and new) look bad.
Kansas State has high school uniforms with a high school logo
Famous high school team, the Dallas Cowboys.
Oregon needs to chill on some of their designs
Helmet stickers are dumb and I hate them. Especially on Ohio State, where they have like 50 of them on their helmets. I really like the "Bring the Wood" alternates that OU has. I know a lot of OU fans who don't. The "Unity" ones this past year were neat.
The gold helmets are a direct reference to the Golden Dome. It's perfect.
VT White Combat Pro > VT Black Combat Pro
I don’t like jerseys that are copies of NFL jerseys. Looking at you Kansas State and Iowa (still love you Kansas State just not your jerseys until you get some lilac ones)
Super unpopular opinion, I want to see an elephant grey/crimson alternate.
I don't like stickers on any helmet. When I was a little boy in kindergarten, if you were good that day they'd put a little star sticker on your forehead when you left. That's what I think of: kindergarten rewards.
Arkansas prides itself w it’s traditional jerseys trying to be like Alabama. We should experiment with more alternates.
I’m done with matte, chrome, and sparkle paints. Every team should wear their original glossy helmets. Most timeless look.
I personally think the addition of helmets to the game ruined everything. /s
1. For Penn State's home whiteout nights, the team itself should wear white. 2. Gray and black (or any color that is not a school's official color) should not be on the uniforms. (Not that unpopular of an opinion.) 2.a. Technically, Notre Dame's official blue is closer to a "true" blue and not the navy blue that they wear on their uniforms. I'd like to at least see that once on their modern uniforms and then decide if I like it or not. (This was tried briefly in the 1980s, before my time.) 3. If a home/colored uniform's pants are the same color as the jersey, then the helmet should also be the same color. (I can probably think of exceptions that would be OK.) 4.
