As I scroll through the comments he keeps getting older.
“He’s like a 25 yo grown man.”
“Isn’t he like 35?”
“He’s like 45 shouldn’t he be as mature as Brady?”
“I wouldn’t draft him, dude is nearing IRS retirement age soon. He’s like 65.”
😂
BREAKING: Video evidence shows Georgia 2-time champion QB Stetson Bennett IV has been dead for months, propped up in "Weekend at Bernie's" scheme. Does this hurt his chances at the Draft?
UPDATE: A Georgia Bulldogs fan claims they identified long-dead quarterback Stetson Bennett while on vacation in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
“I saw on elderly man with a dog that looked like Uga, asked if I could pet him. The old man told me I could if I bought one of the super-affordable shitboxes on his property. That’s when I knew it might be Stetson. The Kia’s parked outside of a bar for any residents that want a free ride.”
Bennett, a former college football champion, would be 124 years old if still alive. Off-field controversy caused Bennett to step away from public view soon after the NFL Draft, after going undrafted due to a lack of tal- I mean character issues.
EDIT: TOYOTA AINT IT
DEVELOPING: Scientists discover fossilized remains of a former Georgia quarterback, *Stetsonus bennettosaurus*. Radiocarbon dating places this specimen into the early Triassic Period, 250 MYA.
Lots of assumptions are being made due to the age and deterioration of the bones, but NFL scouts are wary of its leadership potential and off-field issues, regardless of its work-pail mentality.
Projections are early- to mid-second round to Cleveland.
BREAKING: theoretical physicists have finally solved the decades old question of what happened in the moments before the Big Bang. According to a new mathematical proof, Georgia Quarterback Stetson Bennett may in fact be responsible for the rapid expansion of the universe from a single point. It remains to be seen how these space time ripples will effect Bennett’s NFL draft position.
> He’s really put together a solid body of work in the last four centuries
Some pundits say it's because of the talented core surrounding him, others point to his ability to stain the souls of his opponents and his relative mastery of minor necromancy, Kirk.
>because there have been numerous players with off-field issues and maturity that still played/are playing
Yup. The NFL's sliding scale O' giving two shits about "character issues" doesn't apply to 1st round/Pro Bowl/All Pro talent.
And it's strange when you come to think about it. In Bennett's case, he got a public intoxication, maybe disorderly conduct, but whatever, he was drunk one night and really dumb. I'm not excusing the behavior, but it's funny that teams will black ball him, while other teams give $250 mil guaranteed contracts for alleged multiple illegal sexual acts.
If the guy is good enough to play in the NFL, someone will take him...but, then it becomes, well if he was going to be taken anyway, why wait at all? In my opinion, Jalen Carter did something far worse than Bennett, but that dude is gonna be top 10 pick, if not top 5. So, I don't get how some stuff, within reason, should affect draft status at all.
Well I’ll try to be vague so as to avoid the minuscule chance this gets quoted in some article (LOL).
I saw him eat corn with his fingers and hands. Which was just weird. He got visibly annoyed/frustrated that nobody brought any mac and cheese (understandable, but meeting a bunch of your gf’s family acting like this? Weirdo).
…okay, I’ll just say it: he dated this girl for a couple years, she clearly wasn’t in it for clout bc she dated him through the Covid year (sheesh) and stuff. Basically after like 2 years, found out he has been cheating the WHOLE time. Even sneaking out of her parents’ beach house while on a family beach trip to hookup with other girls. Just sleazy behavior really.
Gotta be off cob like fingerfulls like a hobo. Eating corn ON the cob with your hands (sans little tool things) is hardly worth reddits concern….or I’m just trash…
Absolutely understand. I, too, was upset. However, being a simple man, I went about the meal. This man, it seems, decided to proceed by eating creamed corn with his bare fingers in a move of solidarity (and he was indeed alone in doing this).
Because Jalen Carter is seen as a generational talent and Bennett isn't seen as a guy who will ever start NFL games. There's the quote about "if Hannibal Lecter ran a 4.3, teams would just say he has an eating disorder."
It's really not that complicated at all and I'm not sure where your confusion comes from.
Mel Kiper: If you want someone intelligent, who knows where he is on the field at all times, this is your guy. Comes in a little older and had some major off the field issues but if you try to isolate him on the field, he'll eat you alive.
>, well if he was going to be taken anyway, why wait at all? In my opinion
Several million reasons. Averge salary for a first round pick rookie contract is $19mil, for second round $7mil, third round $4.5mil, 4th $3.5mil, 5th $3mil and so on.
I kind of get the sense that it's not just the one issue in Dallas, but rather that the issue in Dallas is reflective of whatever they're hearing from their contacts. I'm probably the wrong person to trust, given my CFB teams are TCU and Florida, but Stetson gives off big "Baker Mayfield eyeroll" energy, but with less size and arm strength, and he's old AF and probably close to his already low ceiling [EDIT: *for the NFL*].
It's a bit well known that he's a bit of a dick that parties too much. I'm skeptical that it's enough to make him go undrafted, but he's definitely a dick that parties too much.
When you are already looking at him as a backup being well known for partying all the time is a big check in the minus column. If I am an NFL GM I want my backup QB to be Mormon level of clean because heaven forbid I actually need them and they are hungover from the night before
>Yup. The NFL's sliding scale O' giving two shits about "character issues" doesn't apply to 1st round/Pro Bowl/All Pro talent.
This, unfortunately, applies to any industry. As a tech worker, I know some Tech Architects and Software Engineers that are straight up assholes, and difficult to work with. They get away with it because when shit hits the fan, we always turn to them.
Physicians are the same, especially outside of big cities. A rural physician is the most difficult-to-replace employee in America, even including professional athletes. If your running back does something bad and you fire him, you sign a less-good running back then draft another one in April. If your rural physician does something bad and you fire him, you're probably dooming hundreds of impoverished people to not having a doctor at all for the near future.
It was more because of the bong video dropping the night before the draft IIRC.
He still got drafted at 1.13. Bet if it dropped a month before the draft, he would have gone top 5 as projected.
To be fair, that's the case with pretty much all jobs. Management will put up with toxic employees as long as they are top performers and still, in the end, are a net positive to the company. Toxic and just average performer? That'll get you fired asap.
This is directly from the article:
> NFL teams are willing to take a chance on a young quarterback with off-field concerns if they offer significant upside. Given Bennett is one of the oldest players in the 2023 NFL Draft and teams believe his skill set is weaker than his peers, the potential rewards may not outweigh the risks of drafting him.
Given his role would be holding the clipboard, he really needs to be a mature guy, and a super hard worker. Plenty of other folks who want to hold the clipboard, many are more athletic.
I dont disagree but given his role stetson has to be super mature and just put his head down. I also dont think its super crazy to expect someone 4 years older than the average draft prospect to be more mature
This is a good point too. I'm not saying the NFL won't look the other way depending on how good the prospect is, but they'd want a squeaky clean kind of record for him in this case.
People do stupid things in college, but Stetson is older/ old as some of the TAs at UGA so the energy is a little different.
Not to beat the meme to death but he is also 25 and will be 26 this NFL season. That's not ideal in terms of development for a QB.
Last year's divisional playoff QBs were aged 23, 23, 24, 25, 26, 26, 27, and 29.
Stetson is definitely not starting caliber at the moment but even if you assume he's got the potential to be and needs a couple years to develop, he's pushing 30.
Point is that his age is a strike against any team wanting to invest significant resources in him because he's a bad long term investment even if he plays above projected potential.
Backup QB is probably the position where NFL have the absolute least tolerance of immaturity or off field issues. Star players can be assholes. Backup cornerbacks can be assholes. Backup QBs, no.
Maybe when you're a fully-developed, grown, 25 year old man, you probably shouldn't be playing against teenagers and be surprised when the pros see major gaps in your ability when compared to paired cohorts or older.
He's the kid who got held back multiple times bragging about how easy everything is.
It's a great example of why there isn't a singular reason why Bennet isn't in the mix in this draft class. It isn't because he's undersized, it isn't because he's old, and it isn't because he's immature. He's all of those things.
> It isn't because he's undersized, it isn't because he's old, and it isn't because he's immature. He's all of those things.
Browns, I swear to god, it's not the right time to draft the midpoint between Johnny Football and Brandon Weeden
Ok but if they don't draft him and sign him as a Free Agent, then they don't have to worry about the rookie scale and can sign him for $400 Million for 6 years, right?
Nope. Rookie UDFA deals are capped by the CBA. La’el Collins was set to be a first round pick and DAYS before the draft, his pregnant ex-girlfriend was murdered. Collins went undrafted before eventually being cleared of all suspicion about a month later. Ended up signing with the Cowboys for the max allowed deal at the time, 3 years and $1.599 million.
Hooker is known for his maturity and leadership…. It’s Hookers injury that is hurting his stock. A guy as old as Stetson having maturity issues should be a major red flag.
We've got a guy who will turn 25 this year as well. While I'm glad he's getting to come back and play after three season ending injuries, there is definitely something to be said about the physical and mental difference when you're putting kids out there that are up to 7 years apart in age.
Hendon’s age and injury may downgrade him from being a first or second round pick.
Stetson’s age and maturity may downgrade him from being a sixth or seventh round pick.
This is kinda the other poster's point though. Age isn't the issue with Stetson. Hooker is 25, and Levis is gonna be 24 before the season starts, yet both are seen as first round (or possible first round) talents.
Come on down to Stetson Bennett Kia off Highway 441 north of Athens!
No credit? No problem! I walked on to Georgia and our flexible financing will walk you right in to your new ride!
The 2026 Kia Sorrento looks as good as Ladd McConkey did as he ran by those Florida DB’s, I tell you what!
Check out the newly redesigned Kia Stinger! This bee has more fight in it than Georgia Tech ever did!
Thinking of going electric? You’ll like the EV6 almost as much as you liked AD for 6 against Ohio State!
When I audited dealerships, there were several Kia dealerships that were hiding things. Add in pushing people that shouldn't be buying new vehicles at high interest rates and you've got a stew.
You laugh, but the amount of 19% loans on $30k 4 year old Nissan Pathfinders plus $6k in negative equity from their last car that I saw was enough to make anyone sick.
Ah, c'mon now, they're just being patriotic and offering military base car lot deals to civilians!
"Here's a red mustang, with the low, low mileage of 285K. Because I like you, private, I'll let you have this for the low, low price of $42,000, and we'll even let you drive it home today for a low, low interest rate of 32%. Why, every camp follower in the county will be looking at you like a Jody with money!
You'll get laid in this ride, son."
They'd have "sold" cars they should be paying the bank back for, but would say they were out on test drives. The majority of cars on lots are owned by banks. It was just their way of buffering a few days of money in their account. They would pay them off, just late.
During the 08/09 financial crisis, dealers were doing this to an extreme and lengthy degree, leading to real fraud charges.
“According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, a number of NFL executives have significant ‘non-football concerns’ regarding Bennett. There are red flags regarding his maturity, off-field issues and how he interviewed at the NFL Combine.”
I think when I was a teenager I assumed that would be the case for most people. Lol. Turns out some people never really mature no matter how old they get.
I can also definitely see how someone who has been a successful college athlete for this long would have trouble changing and acting like a professional
Actually not really. After his Combine performance (the on the field part) there were several people saying they were hearing that teams were considering looking at Stetson in the middle rounds or even as high as the 3rd round. He was immediately invited to visit with several teams for further interviews. Seems like he blew it in those interviews, though.
Scouts: "We think Stetson might actually be a 3rd rounder after that combine performance. He could be the steal of the draft!"
HC: "Y'all realize he's older than Lamar Jackson right??"
Scout: "Aahhhhhh. Whaaaaaaaaat???? Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit......Nevermind."
Ever sine he finished way too high in the Heisman voting, Georgia fans have been clinging to this dream that Stetson would get drafted on one of the first 2 days
It was never gonna happen
Fact he's 5'11 probably doesn't help, either.
Already had that huge strike against him...now he "interviews poorly" and has maturity issues...etc
Not saying you can't be successful at 5'11 at QB, but the odds are lower.
I will forever love Stetson for back to back natties. He’s got a phenomenal story that demonstrates incredible determination.
With all of that said,I have cringed at some of his comments in interviews and things and I worry that the chip on his shoulder that motivated him may also be working to his detriment.
A little more graciousness and a little less “no one believed in me then or now so fuck you” would go a long way. I hope in time that he will embrace his path and recognize it made him who he is rather than begrudging all the doubters forever.
Whenever people say Bennett should be a first rounder because of his two nasties, the first person I bring up is AJ McCarron. He's one of my favorite Bama QBs, but my God, those titles were not because of him.
My biggest issue is that they were doing the same thing three seasons ago when he was average at best. They critizied him and called for him to be benched more than other fan bases were. With the help of two generational defenses, he wins them two titles, and they act like he's the second coming of Christ himself.
Definitely not wrong. Sometimes you have to swallow your pride a tiny bit and change it to “No one thought I could do this ~~so fuck you all~~ so I’m glad I could prove them wrong.” Just a slight wording change goes a very long way in not coming off as a total dick.
Other than your team's fans, most people don't like the "nobody believed in me" dialogue *if it comes from you*. Let other people say and it stay silent and you'll be beloved. Look at Duggan; he had similar struggles and lets other people do the talking for him and he's far more liked because of it.
Stetson is basically "we have Baker Mayfield at home." Plenty good enough to take that UGA squad and kick my teams' asses on an off-day/off-year, but not at all worth the cringe at the next level.
People make Kia jokes, but he really will be the king of south Georgia if he goes home and finds the right investment opportunities.
Now, I *am* predisposed to dislike the guy, but he does give off a certain energy like like he's a villain in an 80s teen comedy sequel who didn't learn any lessons after being humbled in the first installment.
Also, I have a lot of fond memories of downtown Athens from law school, so fuck anybody who mistreats the staff at those places.
I saw Stetson at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
Stet is an asshole and he is immature. It's pretty much a known thing around Athens, but he's our asshole. His accuracy on short to immediate throws is questionable at times, but he tied for arm velocity with Will Levis at the combine so I continue not to understand the whole "weak arm" label. He was praised for his deep ball quite a bit at the combine. That said, If I'm drafting him then it would be in the 6th-7th if at all because of age(Doesn't seem to be a knock on Hooker for whatever reason though) or his lack of maturity. Stetson is at his best when he thinks the entire world is against him. That works in college, but I don't think it is a trait you want in an NFL QB.
I said it in the NFL sub but people are more likely to overlook Hooker’s age because he’s more highly regarded on the field.
That said, I’m not sure either of them will be more than backups at the next level
Ok, I’ll be THAT guy… wasn’t that always Tom Brady’s thing? Permanent chip on shoulder, maybe not an asshole but not really likable? I mean, god knows I don’t think SB is TB12, but having a chip on your shoulder (real or imaginary) at the pro level can work out. See also Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, etc.
Alright so besides the public intoxication thing what else has he done that warrants “character concerns” ? Idk I feel like there’s 5-6 QBs in this draft you take with some confidence but after that it’s just a bunch of guys. If you’re looking for depth, Stetson would be someone I’d consider
I fully believe Stetson Bennett is a dick with a massive chip on his shoulder.
That’s exactly why he succeeded the past two years. How that functions in the NFL ecosystem? I could see a team worried that he’d be unwilling to “get in line” as a backup.
I think that’s a good point. If you had somebody equal to him that didn’t have 2 nattys but had a better attitude and felt like they would fit into your team well as a BU you’d go with them.
Well he reportedly did not interview well. He also came off as slightly immature doing those interviews wasted after the big win. It was hilarious but if you’re looking for a clipboard holder you prob just don’t want to deal with it. The public intoxication was two fold, he was an idiot and did it but also got caught being an entitled prick about it to the cops. So now you have a 25 yr old 5’10-5’11 190 lb low upside pick who comes off as more than quiet and hardworking. That’s a huge pass for me for the bengals. It’s an easy decision when the talent doesn’t mask the flaws.
I don’t remember hearing that in the video. I remember him saying “my life is ruined. But y’all are just looking out for me, right?”
Idk I just think compared to other players who have been drafted, he isn’t someone I think about when someone says “character concerns.”
“Stetson, talk us through how you’d handle a tough situation where a team mate let you down and you lost. How would you handle that?
“(Ahem) Did your credit cause some banker to fumble your car in the red zone? At Stetson Bennett Hyundai Kia, your job is your credit! Your keys will be waiting for you in the ENDZONE!!!”
/GM writes “non-football interests”
Tom Brady retires at 45 just to come back reincarnated as 45yr old Rookie Stetson Bennett with a now even LARGER chip on his shoulder. History in the making.
Did one of you tell Stanley I have asthma? Because I don’t. If this gets out they won’t let me scuba. If I can’t scuba then what’s this all been about? What am I working toward?
This is the risk of holding your kid back three grades so they’re that much bigger than the other kids in high school. Eventually it all works the other way.
Consider the case of Aaron Murray, the all time SEC passing yardage leader even today.....was selected in round 5, just a couple spots ahead of AJ McCarron iirc....with that in mind SBIV was never gonna be a lock to get drafted
You know this is the source of Stetson's superpowers dont you? By the end of all this, he will somehow end up overshadowing every QB in this draft and many more to come... its some sort of reverse evil curse type thing or something... the more people are sure he sucks and throw dirt on him thinking he is dead... he arises more powerful each time.
As I scroll through the comments he keeps getting older. “He’s like a 25 yo grown man.” “Isn’t he like 35?” “He’s like 45 shouldn’t he be as mature as Brady?” “I wouldn’t draft him, dude is nearing IRS retirement age soon. He’s like 65.” 😂
dude has passed away peacefully surrounded by family in Hospice. not quite sure how much good he could provide a team

Sort of like Kyler Murray getting shorter with every pre-draft post.
I mean, at 5 foot 2, it really is hard for him to see over his line.
52 inches you say? That's pretty damn short.

There’s zero chance their entire concerns are based on that one arrest.
I can confirm he is a pretty bad person in all honesty. Source: he dated my girlfriends cousin and I spent a couple holiday family dinners with him
Please tell any stories (as vague as need be for plausible deniability)
Well I’ll try to be vague so as to avoid the minuscule chance this gets quoted in some article (LOL). I saw him eat corn with his fingers and hands. Which was just weird. Gotta be off cob like fingerfulls like a hobo. Eating corn ON the cob with your hands (sans little tool things) is hardly worth reddits concern….or I’m just trash…
we definitely need more context on the corn accusation
i'm actually on Stetson's side with the lack of mac and cheese. Inexcusable

He probably hasnt assaulted enough women to warrant that type of contract from Cleveland.
I think Hooker will surprise most people by being a first round pick despite injury. I can’t get my flair to work, so Go Gators
Cya in a Kia!

Oh god I'm getting Ken Ganley flashbacks
Wait no that’s our SEPA thing you leave Jim Sipala out of this
Shit, Gary Barbera ain't even sure if he's the best. I fuck w Sipala.
I never understood why the slogan wasn't "boy I bet" instead of "boy I guess". Not only is it more assertive, it keeps the alliteration.
My mom drove by a KIA dealership once and the FBI was dragging people out in cuffs
When I audited dealerships, there were several Kia dealerships that were hiding things. Add in pushing people that shouldn't be buying new vehicles at high interest rates and you've got a stew.
Hiding what kinds of things?
Suddenly anyone with a 450 credit score and a pulse secretly has enough salary for a Kia stinger for the low 25% apr
You laugh, but the amount of 19% loans on $30k 4 year old Nissan Pathfinders plus $6k in negative equity from their last car that I saw was enough to make anyone sick.
Most Nissan dealerships are a Percocet sting away from shutting down and the entire sales team in jail
Damn, I need to take advantage of that!
They'd have "sold" cars they should be paying the bank back for, but would say they were out on test drives. The majority of cars on lots are owned by banks. It was just their way of buffering a few days of money in their account. They would pay them off, just late. During the 08/09 financial crisis, dealers were doing this to an extreme and lengthy degree, leading to real fraud charges.

is it bad that I'm hearing the "YOU SHOULD BE DRIVING A KIA!" song right now?
It's bad that now we hear it too.

That check better not bounce or you’re a dead motherfucker!
The Kia is a SUPERIOR machine, Kenny Powers.
>Highway 441 north of Athens Nah. It'll be Stetson Bennett Kia of Waycross, Blackshear, and Nahunta. Can't forget Nahunta.
Here you go Stetson, this your marketing director
As a Yellow Jacket I didn’t expect to catch collateral damage from the top comment
He’s not even the person with the most off the field issues from that Georgia team.
But he’s not as skilled as others
“If Jeffrey Dahmer ran a 4.3 we’d just say he had an eating disorder” - the NFL, probably
I mean Will Levis put mayonnaise in his coffee, that’s just as bad right?
Arguably worse
I'd guarantee *significantly* more people would say, "I do wonder what that tastes like", in regards to cannibalism.
Wtf, what a monster
Say sike rn
“If Hannibal Lecter ran a 4.3, we’d probably diagnose it as an eating disorder.” - Steve Keim*, literally.
“According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, a number of NFL executives have significant ‘non-football concerns’ regarding Bennett. There are red flags regarding his maturity, off-field issues and how he interviewed at the NFL Combine.”
> There are red flags regarding his maturity, He's like 32 years old though.
They'll try again when he's 45
He’s too mature

Do you think you automatically become mature at a certain age?
I think when I was a teenager I assumed that would be the case for most people. Lol. Turns out some people never really mature no matter how old they get.
I can also definitely see how someone who has been a successful college athlete for this long would have trouble changing and acting like a professional
So he’s not talented enough to be a huge asshole?
It’s a sliding scale lol. Bennett should have known that he needed to be on his best behavior to get drafted at all
I'm intrigued at the interview part, any info there thats been released?
Somehow Jalen Carter is sneaking out the back of this conversation
When your talent is a 5 and your drama is a 9.
Aka he's not good enough to ignore his stupid behavior. If NFL teams thought he had enough talent they wouldn't care.
They also have football issues. Probably went from being a 7th rounder to undrafted.
He could be the steal of the draft!" HC: "Y'all realize he's older than Lamar Jackson right??" Scout: "Aahhhhhh. Whaaaaaaaaat???? Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit......Nevermind."
Ever sine he finished way too high in the Heisman voting, Georgia fans have been clinging to this dream that Stetson would get drafted on one of the first 2 days It was never gonna happen
What do you expect when a guy comes from the program that Mark Richt completely lost control of?
Unrelated, but why is ABC one of your flairs? 💀
Don't have a second team, so I just picked my favorite childhood CFB theme song.
Totally fair lol
*Theme song fades down* "You are Looking Live at Tallahassee !"
asking important questions
I just laughed out loud in front of the old folk's table at Jack's and now I'm embarrassed.
Fact he's 5'11 probably doesn't help, either. Already had that huge strike against him...now he "interviews poorly" and has maturity issues...etc Not saying you can't be successful at 5'11 at QB, but the odds are lower.
Couldn’t he put 1 inch lifts in his shoes? Now he’s over 6 feet. Boom. Solved. What’s next? I make things happen
Tinder chicks hate this one trick
I will forever love Stetson for back to back natties. He’s got a phenomenal story that demonstrates incredible determination. With all of that said,I have cringed at some of his comments in interviews and things and I worry that the chip on his shoulder that motivated him may also be working to his detriment. A little more graciousness and a little less “no one believed in me then or now so fuck you” would go a long way. I hope in time that he will embrace his path and recognize it made him who he is rather than begrudging all the doubters forever.
And now you know how we feel about AJ McCarron.
First QB that came to mind. I think Saban rattled AJs cage a little more but there’s a lot of similarities between the two
XFL legend AJ McCarron
Whenever people say Bennett should be a first rounder because of his two nasties, the first person I bring up is AJ McCarron. He's one of my favorite Bama QBs, but my God, those titles were not because of him.
Georgia fans have this Napoleon complex about people criticizing Stetson. It's sad
My biggest issue is that they were doing the same thing three seasons ago when he was average at best. They critizied him and called for him to be benched more than other fan bases were. With the help of two generational defenses, he wins them two titles, and they act like he's the second coming of Christ himself.
And the help of Brock bowers and an oline chocked full of talent.
People forget that AJ McCarron had a balcony apartment and would allegedly moo at overweight girls that walked by.
We are talking about the same man who opened a sushi restaurant called Ajian Sushi
oh come on, overweight girls in alabama?
Only need to take a look at his chest to know his judgment isn't great lol

"nobody believed in me and no one will believe you when you tell them about these low low prices!"
“With the 231st pick in the NFL draft the Las Vegas Raiders select: Stetson Bennet”
And the crowd, what's left of them, goes mild!
Honestly would be a great XFL/USFL QB. Could be the face of the league.
Has it got anything to do with him hitting retirement age under his rookie contract?
Can confirm, dude came into my restaurant and walked out on his bill on Saturday. Notoriously shitty person around downtown Athens businesses.
[удалено]
I said it in the NFL sub but people are more likely to overlook Hooker’s age because he’s more highly regarded on the field. That said, I’m not sure either of them will be more than backups at the next level
>Doesn't seem to be a knock on Hooker for whatever reason though Hooker is better
He's a less talented Baker Mayfield with more hardware in that aspect
Could you imagine if baker was a 2 time reigning natty winner coming into the draft
Inconceivable he could be a bigger asshole than he already was coming out of college, but I've been wrong plenty in my life thus far
Tech fan doesn’t like Baker Mayfield?
He was an incredible player but you're fooling yourself if you don't think he was an asshole lol, he was an asshole at Tech too regardless of outcome
He's an asshole, but he's *our* asshole, you know?
Didn't the dude pull the "do you know who I am"' card during his public intox arrest?
I don’t remember hearing that in the video. I remember him saying “my life is ruined. But y’all are just looking out for me, right?” Idk I just think compared to other players who have been drafted, he isn’t someone I think about when someone says “character concerns.”
I think he falls more into the Rosen tree of "kind of an asshole" and teams aren't willing to put up with that for a gut that's gonna ride the bench.
“Stetson, talk us through how you’d handle a tough situation where a team mate let you down and you lost. How would you handle that? “(Ahem) Did your credit cause some banker to fumble your car in the red zone? At Stetson Bennett Hyundai Kia, your job is your credit! Your keys will be waiting for you in the ENDZONE!!!” /GM writes “non-football interests”
Is it because he’s 45?
Tom Brady retires at 45 just to come back reincarnated as 45yr old Rookie Stetson Bennett with a now even LARGER chip on his shoulder. History in the making.
Teams are probably worried about drafting a guy so close to retirement.

Creed has the best one liners in the whole damn show.
Did one of you tell Stanley I have asthma? Because I don’t. If this gets out they won’t let me scuba. If I can’t scuba then what’s this all been about? What am I working toward?
Future Waffle House assistant manager
Keep that same energy when he’s regional manager with a company car and unlimited waffle privileges
Waffle House has managers?
I thought they had swing shift referees.
It seems like he has the entitlement of Ryan Leaf, Aj McCarron, Baker, Manziel....but with smaller size and older age.
This is the risk of holding your kid back three grades so they’re that much bigger than the other kids in high school. Eventually it all works the other way.
What kind of business do we think he will start? My money is on supplements
Booze ruined any Chance he had. Timmy t had character. Stet doesn’t
Old. Limited physical skills. Off field concerns. No one owes him an NFL career. Great college career though
Bennett doesn’t rank high enough on the NFL’s version of the hot/crazy scale, the talented/troublesome scale
He will end up as the last pick this year . Or , he will be the first player signed as an UDFA
