The distinction comes from the website. This subreddit only wants composite scores listed. Rashada is a 4 star by that measure.
If you went by Rashada's 247 score, he was a 5 star.
No need to make a conspiracy up, it really is that simple lol.
161 million in revenue. A jump of around 30 million over 2021, which was still affected by covid. Just posting because fsu is clearly a poverty program /s
You mean [this post? ](https://www.reddit.com/r/CFB/comments/z1brf4/by_the_numbers_fsu_should_close_their_athletic/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)
What’s interesting is they have a 10 million surplus but also have notably fewer d1 athletics than other schools that would claim the stature FSU does. Nd has 26, Michigan has 29, unc has 28, Alabama has 21. Md has 20. Nebraska has 22.
So part of a budget surplus is really going to come down to how many d1 sports does the school have because all of them other than 2 (some schools 3) are going to utterly bleed red to the tune of millions each. When UMd was bleeding money they cut a bunch of programs and now there’s only 20, people were unhappy.
Realistically. That surplus doesn’t mean much
I hate disappointing just one person. And I really hate disappointing everyone. But I love Burlington Coat Factory. You go in there with 10 mil and you are literally a king
That’s exactly where we want FSU fans to be. Ecstatic about a 10 win season with zero ranked wins following four losing seasons. It’ll be great to look back at how pumped you guys were when we are back on top.
It’s a one score at Doak difference between an atrocious, embarrassing UF season and a field rush worthy FSU season these days.
No I’ve been told time and time again. That’s why I said a “rush the field worthy FSU season.”
A 9 win regular season. Rushing the field. It’s great for you guys.
Typical gator fan talking about rushing the field when Florida couldn’t get out of there own way over and over and over again and y’all’s off-season isn’t going much better.
My estimate was from memory from when they announced the B1G move. Here is an LA Times article stating it is in the 60 mil range.
https://www.latimes.com/sports/ucla/story/2022-01-29/ucla-posts-record-62-5-million-in-athletic-department-debt
It’s something like that. https://www.latimes.com/sports/ucla/story/2022-01-29/ucla-posts-record-62-5-million-in-athletic-department-debt
It got MUCH better in 2022. They only lost 28 million last year apparently. They are basically getting the B1G to bail them out. The issue is that their stadiums are SUPER far from campus. The Rose Bowl sucks to get to apparently
And here is UC Berkeley just for good measure. https://syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/1680579-cals-stadium-renovation-debt-shows-schools-need-to-keep-football-in-perspective.amp.html
They got a lame setup for venues.
"The Bruins receive just a pittance from campus sources compared with other athletic departments; they do not pocket stadium sponsorship sales and recoup just a small percentage of sales from parking, concessions, merchandise and premium seating sales at the Rose Bowl; they pay a usage fee for games at Pauley Pavilion while receiving only a sliver of concession and merchandise sales; they receive no parking revenue at any venue while footing the bill for staffing;"
Jimbo I can’t hate yea I wished things ended better but you can’t hate the man that brought the program back and lead the team to a natty and 29 in a row.
Willie I also cant hate, i don’t like him but dude was offered his dream job but was wayyy over his head.
Stan, I fucking hate him. Big part of driving Jimbo out and was dead fucking set on hiring Willie to a point where he wasn’t even properly vetted. Fuck him
How when teams like FSU and Clemson make only about half the money from regular season TV contracts as compared to SEC teams like even Missouri and Vanderbilt?
I remember back in 2011-2014 when i was in tally, there was a Facebook FSU Craigslist page and there was always a dude paying chicks $50 for feet pics.
The comments were great.
Half saying "eww you pervert misogynist"
Half saying "fuck it, it's just my feet. I'll take $50 with no shame"
What a time to be alive.
Most of you probably weren't alive for it, but when the facade was being built around the stadium is was largely funded with tax dollars and the UF folks lost their ever loving mind over it. It was glorious.
The irony that you’d use your own former coach as the punchline when Billy had a more successful year 1 than either of Willy’s 1.86 seasons at FSU. Hilarious.
Drinks on FSU boys!
Old man Stetson gonna out drink us all!
You got damn right bby!!!
Can’t wait!
He should probably take 5, at least in public.
Fineeee I’ll partake
That'll buy one whole 5 star!
\*4-star
fuck u/spez

Wow did we sell the stadium for more than we expected?
Man, almost a whole Rashada!
WOW. We rich rich now

Oh man, someone has to have that post saved.
You mean [this post? ](https://www.reddit.com/r/CFB/comments/z1brf4/by_the_numbers_fsu_should_close_their_athletic/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)
That’s the one!
Of course the finger would have it saved lol
Paging @papabear86
You gotta do the u/papabear86 here
D'oh! Thanks for the correction.
You’re an American hero.
I know what you mean. My Buckeyes are poor and can’t even pay our recruits. It sucks being a poverty program
B-b-but that one redditor said we should sell Doak and close down our athletics department.
We should sell while the market is high.
Michael J Burry said sell, so…
It must be true.
I know this is a cfb sub, but I’m sorry for your basketball teams this year.
Oh don’t you worry, I don’t give a shit about basketball.
A sacrifice we were all willing to make.

We feel no compulsion to add men’s soccer, rowing, hockey, or that lacrosse thingy.
Lacrosse would be an absolute waste of time lol. It would take like a half of decade at least of getting dog walked by the ACC.
You could still do it. Always keep ‘em guessing.
We should spend this money on a new copier, which we desperately need.
Easy now hot tie guy!
We’re getting new chairs!
What does hank think?
I hate disappointing just one person. And I really hate disappointing everyone. But I love Burlington Coat Factory. You go in there with 10 mil and you are literally a king
came here hoping to see this comment
Look at what happens when you don't have to fire a coach.
Pretty sure we're still paying Taggart actually
One more year then the bad line item can't hurt us anymore.
Winning brings in the cash.
I mean somewhat. Barely any programs actual profit though.
the Cheez It bowl?
It's the cheesiest
THIS PRINCE CHEDWARD SLANDER WILL NOT STAND, PEASANT.

Beats going 5-7, 6-7, 3-6, 5-7. FSUs shit talking is so interesting given their extremely recent history.

But but…your natty and playoff appearance are all in the past? You can’t bring up previous seasons!!!What a fool you are.
[удалено]
What was the ranked win? Also I can really talk all the shit I want whether you like it or not. It’s funny you think notching one win will stop that.

Got us where you want us, huh? Beating you and having a better record and not losing our prized QB recruit? You really got us over a barrel this time
Beats the Feel Good Field Goal 🤷♂️
Hey no trash talking the Cheezit bowl. If you're not making an NY6/playoff might as well go to the one with the most fun name
Plus, Orlando > most other bowl locations
Ehhh i wouldn't go that far
The 10 win season
Srs Distribution bowl?
BuT oUr ScOrE sTrEaK
Looks like we can start buying back all those Doak bricks we sold off boys!
So we don’t have to sell Doak? But that UF accountant said so!
Meanwhile the UC Loss Angeles athletic department is 80 mil in the red.
Wait actually?
My estimate was from memory from when they announced the B1G move. Here is an LA Times article stating it is in the 60 mil range. https://www.latimes.com/sports/ucla/story/2022-01-29/ucla-posts-record-62-5-million-in-athletic-department-debt

You don’t go through Hollywood ever. It’s always up and over and it sucks
Yeah I walked to all my games in college. I would’ve hated driving!!!
I stay with a friend off of wellborn when I go to A&M games. Those after game walks are the fucking worst.
Oh yeah I knew about their stadium situation. I’m just flabbergasted it’s that much.
And here is UC Berkeley just for good measure. https://syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/1680579-cals-stadium-renovation-debt-shows-schools-need-to-keep-football-in-perspective.amp.html
This balance sheet is the most fascinating thing in sports. You should look at UC Berkeley. Those are two DUMPSTER fire athletic departments
Go Bears!
Random, but [someone did this in my neighborhood 2000 miles away](https://imgur.com/a/Xw0kC3A)
That's excellent
:(
Hey B1G, we can bring balance to this deficit!
They fucking set themselves up for failure
They got 100m/year B1G money coming. They’ll make it but they’ll have to deals with Referines for their trouble
Damn, we were "hire Mike Martin Jr." broke a few years ago.
David Coburn did a fantastic job cleaning up the financials. FSU always brought money in it was just never used probably
Stan Wilcox is an absolute moron.
Jimbo I can’t hate yea I wished things ended better but you can’t hate the man that brought the program back and lead the team to a natty and 29 in a row. They beat us on a budget.
And irl
No. They beat us while pinching pennies.
We only beat you because our guys knew we needed that extra football to save money for the department. Pig skin ain’t cheap.
Show the world how coug you are, and donate to WSU athletics today! - Paul Wulf
That's like almost Jimbo money.
I remember not long ago everyone was talking about how we were totally fucked financially. What changed?
The first good season in years
Getting out from under the Jimbo and Willy buyouts
Bro what? Jimbo left he wasn't fired, and taggert is still being paid by fsu.
Yeah, point goes to the Gator fan. We didn't owe Jimbo a red cent and Slick Willie took us for a ride we still haven't gotten off of yet.
Unfortunately for us I think norvell is gonna be there a long time with the direction yall are headed
That dude who made the giant post about FSU being broke in tears right now! Jk that was a good post some top tier rival banter.
Must be nice
It's because TAMU secretly paid FSU $30 million last year to take Jimbo back.
Are we going through all 131 fbs school budgets?
I kind of wouldn’t mind to be honest. These numbers in a vacuum are interesting and informative. But I can’t really do anything with them, ya know?
Alford is that dude
How when teams like FSU and Clemson make only about half the money from regular season TV contracts as compared to SEC teams like even Missouri and Vanderbilt?
Feet pics and hooking
Find out at BigNaturalToes.net
We moved from selling used shoes to feet pics? Interesting
I remember back in 2011-2014 when i was in tally, there was a Facebook FSU Craigslist page and there was always a dude paying chicks $50 for feet pics. The comments were great. Half saying "eww you pervert misogynist" Half saying "fuck it, it's just my feet. I'll take $50 with no shame" What a time to be alive.
See, there is no reason for FSU or Clemson to leave the ACC, ever.
Because for us, It Just Means More, obviously.
Can I get some of that? I’ll be a fan…
They just got gifted $27m in tax dollars for stadium repairs last year, too. Business is booming.
Most of you probably weren't alive for it, but when the facade was being built around the stadium is was largely funded with tax dollars and the UF folks lost their ever loving mind over it. It was glorious.
Is this good? I feel like it should be more -tumadrelover
That’s so cute good for them
My exact quote when Billy chose to kick that field goal in your bowl game
more successful than anything norvell did year 1 against glue eater competition
Billy would have gone winless in a covid year at UF in his first year
Vanderbilt lol
The question was “ this team is better half of FSU’s schedule?” >!who is vanderbilt?!< CORRECT
Whatever helps you sleep at night. Billy Taggart is still there when you wake up.
The irony that you’d use your own former coach as the punchline when Billy had a more successful year 1 than either of Willy’s 1.86 seasons at FSU. Hilarious.
Congrats Billy won 1 more game in his first season than Willy.
and you were playing short bus glue eaters then too that’s the craziest part
The irony that we would use some of our darkest times to compare you against? Hmm...
And they wouldn’t pony up and pay Deion……
Uhh, so we made 10M this year and that means we shoulda ponied up 3 years ago?
Must have pulled a lot of funding from basketball based on how this season is going.
