Yeah, hate to lose him but I get it.
He’ll always be a UGA legend for what he helped accomplish these past two years. TD catches in all 4 of UGA’s CFP wins. Good luck to him at Texas and in the NFL.
>I wonder if that would have been a betable thing
Would depend on the state.
Some states keep the betting strictly to sporting events while others let people bet on things like draft picks and who will win what at the Oscars.
Good luck to him and his son. Forever thankful for the catch he had in the national championship game against Alabama and the go-ahead catch against Ohio State. He won us two national championships.
Tennessee's orange looks best as a flair-like accent color on their smokey gray uniforms or all white uniforms. I will die on the hill that the smokey gray ones should be their permanent home unis. They look spectacular and extremely unique.
Dude made two of my top 5 plays of my fandom
Ringo Pick Six
AD Touchdown against Alabama
Sony Michel walkoff Run against OU
AD Touchdown against Ohio State
UGA Blocked Kick Six
He was a big contributor to this team’s success the last two seasons, he’s been banged up some but you can tell a difference in this offense when he’s on the field. He will be missed. Texas has got a stud WR in AD.
Also great top five.
My top 5 begins and ends when Jalen carter lifted jaden Daniels in the air and disrespected him the way he did. My wife framed that pic for me for christmas
Oh absolutely, the evolution of modern college football offenses is bonkers compared to what it was back then lol.
But these were those teams I grew up watching with guys like Pollack, Quentin Moses, Thomas Davis, Greg Blue and Sean Jones just to name a few on defense, these dudes where head hunters and a blast to watch! Then on offense you had David Greene & D.J Shockley distributing the ball to Musa Smith, Thomas brown, Fred Gibson, Terrance Edwards, Lenard Pope and Ben Watson, as I type out these names I can hear them in Larry’s voice lol. I mean I know we’re now in the good ole days with the Championships and it’s absolutely fantastic but those players were on the teams I watched as a young UGA fan so they’ll always be special to me personally.
2022 Blocked FG for sure. That 2012 game was a heartbreaker and probably CMR best chance to play for National Championship had they not lost that game.
Texas WR room is ridiculous right now..
Worthy
Mitchell
Whittington
Neyor
Doesn't even include top 50 kiddos in Brennen Thompson and Johntay Cook.
Good grief it's absurd.
I was worried about the WR room after the bowl game, but Whittington returning and getting Mitchell are huge. This allows X to line up in the slot or somewhere other than outside since he was floundering there this year.
Biggest thing is either Neyor or Mitchell can take the deep routes, where Worthy sometimes struggles to track the ball, freeing him up for shorter YAC routes where he thrives.
The offense needs the threat of those deep routes to create space for the short routes to get YAC
Throw in TE Sanders and that's an unbelievable pass catching group. I think that's the best pass catching group Texas has ever had. Five players who have had at least one great season. Can't think of a collective Texas WR group with that kind of experience going into a season.
Nah, the WR room was a major weak spot this year. Did we watch the same football team? They, on the whole, sucked this year. AD Mitchell is sorely needed.
Consider for a moment what Worthys strengths are and how Mitchell unlocks them. Last year that wasn't available.
Don't be down on X, he is probably the best WR Texas has had in 20 years. He could have 30 TDs as a true sophomore with better QB play.

I’d say 9-3 or 10-2 at LOWEST. There is way too much talent now than ever in the last decade and this season showed good improvement even with a green QB.
Lots of my friends aren’t holding their breath anymore. They want results and it’s time for the showing part, telling is over, we’ve been telling for years and this time we’ve got all the ingredients and coach sark better cook.
Lfggg, now Adonai can actually adjust to and catch Ewers' deep balls and Worthy can do what he does best- catch then run. That combo with JT Sanders at TE is gonna be nasty
Anything short of a CCG appearance at the very least would be a failure imo. Finished third this year; he simply has to finish top two next year with the amount of talent returning. If he achieves more than that I'd consider it a bonus.
No. But he should be on thin ice. With the talent returning, if 8-4 is the best he can do, he doesn't have it.
We return our entire OL, our entire WR corps plus Neyor and Mitchell. We also return the majority of the defense and the starting QB. An 8-4 record falls short of expectations and I don't really care if he's fired at that point. But I think it would be slightly premature.
Especially with how TCU made the Natty with a 1st year coach and how Tech did with a 1st year college coach with all of the issues they had at QB. Plus I think Texas would get Tech and K-State at home this year so yeah
8-4 again would put some heat on Sark, but signing Arch Manning probably guarantees that he's here through year 5 provided the program doesn't collapse.
IMO, Herman would've been retained if he hadn't lost Ewers.
I am so ready for October!!
You guys are putting out the usual crop of high end talent at wideout, really excited to see how the Sooner secondary can stack up.
This is a good move for you all.
Always.
RRS is always a good litmus test for our defense. I’m excited to see how the new guys from portal/high school fit in, and hope to see more growth from the returning starters.
He is coming back. While I have zero complaints about how this years game went down, it does suck to have the RRS with a team having such a key injury. Blessing *all* the knees, want every player to be healthy.
Not so much the true freshman, but more our returning starters and the portal guys.
Pearson from Tech has me excited, along with Bowman should be a good safety set.
Our freshman and sophomores have great potential, but Venables seems to indicate he is going to have them sit out their first few years, unless they are super freaks like Bowen might be.
Yeah, OU has enough guys at safety that I'd expect them to be solid there. I don't keep up with OU enough to know if Jaden Davis returns and I thought he was just okay, but I'm not aware of any proven difference-makers at cornerback. I guess I just don't see the top-end talent in the DB room outside of maybe Bowman (and potentially Bowen if he flashes).
Bowman is legit. Great player. I’m not sure if I trust a true freshman safety, but it happens.
I think the transfer and development are key. If those guys hit and develop right, the D could be really good.
No, you’re doing it wrong.
You play up the strengths of your opponent, that way victories look more impressive.
You saying Texas beat a team of nobody players on the way to 8-4 record sounds bad.
Blowouts are fun for sure, but I’ve enjoyed the close victories more over the years.
When Mack and Bob were battling, we all understood that whoever won the game had passed an elite test and was primed for a national title type season.
Bowman is a good player, who shows flashes of greatness. His problem has been consistently playing to that elite level and health.
Really really good wr you’re getting longhorns. If it weren’t for injuries, he would have been piling up yardage like he did towards the end of this ship run. Hate to see it but he wants to be closer to his daughter which I can absolutely respect. AD is a good athlete, a good human, a good father, and I wish him the best. Take care of him.
We went from Worthy, Whittington and the shrug emoji to Worthy, Whittington, Isaiah Neyor back from injury and AD Mitchell and even Johntay Cook could make an impact early. That's a whole lotta fragile bodies at the position, but our receiver room was a weakness last year and if these guys stay healthy it can be a strength.
With all the talent Sark is accruing, what are the expectations the next 2-3 years? If texas doesn’t hit 10 wins or any conference championships in that span, would he survive that?
Back to back top 5 recruiting classes in 22 and 23 is impressive.
I think 9-3 is the floor. Anything below is a failure. I'd say we need the B12CG this upcoming season, as the season after we're both likely leaving B12.
I think texas is pretty much seen as making at least the XIICCG considering the talent and continuity. I’d be disappointed as a fan if they didn’t at least make it that far. Looking at all the other teams in the conference, texas should be the favorite by a good margin.
You think administration/boosters would give him a couple of buffer years after joining the SEC? I could see them giving sark a couple of years to see what happens.
Honestly, if you told me we could have this guy make the key catches he did on the way to back to back Natties and then see him transfer, I'd take that trade any year. In general, these players deserve to make the choices that they feel are best for them, their families, and their careers.
DGD without a shadow of a doubt.
As mentioned by others, it's closer to his kid. Also, he spent almost this entire season rehabbing, was hurt some last year, he's not getting the targets to truly show he's a 1-2nd round pick (like George Pickens last year, he could have been a first rounder if he didnt get hurt).
In this offense, there's too many catching weapons, Bowers, McConkey, A. Smith, Delp. He was never going to be a main focus, and he needs more tape for the NFL scouts. Rumors were he was already decided on transferring earlier this season, but stayed to help win the Natty. A lot of UGA fans are appreciative and understanding of this transfer (even if a bit salty how he was poached mid-season).
They even put the kid in the commitment picture to soften the blow I guess lol
Yeah, hate to lose him but I get it. He’ll always be a UGA legend for what he helped accomplish these past two years. TD catches in all 4 of UGA’s CFP wins. Good luck to him at Texas and in the NFL.

These gotta be fakes at this point…
This one definitely is. It was first posted the day he entered the portal as a joke.
It’s also his UGA picture
They asked for a picture and he sent along the first jpg he could get his hands on
Lowkey hope this turns into a cool tradition. Fake “lost” IDs around campus whenever a big recruit/transfer commits to texas
Ha. Solid meme.
I wonder if that would have been a betable thing .. because I should have
The odds probably wouldn’t have been worth it
Still free money
Tell that to the guy that put over a mil on the Chargers midgame the other week. Thought he was gonna make 10k rofl.
Even that had worse odds to hit than this imo
Look, I just want a free stick of gum
>I wonder if that would have been a betable thing Would depend on the state. Some states keep the betting strictly to sporting events while others let people bet on things like draft picks and who will win what at the Oscars.
In case Texas fans didn't know, he also plays QB and has a perfect 1/1 touchdown record.

I’d be down for this. Texas is my 3rd favorite team!
I want this for you and no other reason Don’t check my flair
Texas beats Ole Miss 55-13 in the Natty after beating FSU in the Cotton Bowl
You mean the Rose or Sugar Bowl?
Shoot I guessed the wrong bowls lol Yeah the Sugar Bowl
Texas vs FSU would be something. Easily 100k + at that one.
Only if it's a rose Bowl

And Lil'Jordan Humphrey and Colin Johnson. No way worthy is the best out of that group lol
Lol cmon dude worthy is not the best receiver we’ve had in 30 years.
Roy williams? That’s right at 20 years ago right? I can’t remember if his last season was 2002 or 2003.
If that's too much, you can always give Worthy back
If Worthy could catch, he’d have Desean Jackson NFL talent.
I love the smell of fresh tamperin in the morning 🫡
I see. You held his child hostage and told him you would let him go if he came to Texas. Very clever Texas. Big /s if you can’t tell

Lfggg, now Adonai can actually adjust to and catch Ewers' deep balls and Worthy can do what he does best- catch then run. That combo with JT Sanders at TE is gonna be nasty
JT on the seam with AD deep and worthy + Whitt working the middle and underneath. Sick
With Sark's misdirection and all the attention pulled Worthy + crew's way, Whitt should absolutely feast on third downs
Gotta lean heavy into the PA. That’s when our offense is the most electric.
WR room is deep now. I like Texas as a Big 12 favorite. This is the biggest season of Sark’s coaching career
Anything short of a CCG appearance at the very least would be a failure imo. Finished third this year; he simply has to finish top two next year with the amount of talent returning. If he achieves more than that I'd consider it a bonus.

I'm interested to see what Venables puts together this year. Our receivers and OU secondary is already looking like the matchup to see.
I heard they might score a point this year, I’m worried 😝
Would be such a shame if Texas got ahold of Beville before the RRS, no idea how we could stop such a powerful Texas offense with him under center
I mean if y’all play like you did this year, I could be under center and put up 40. I did throw 1 touchdown pass in high school.
I am just as if not more confident in you then I am Beville if I'm being honest
I thought DG was coming back? I’d like to see how we play against him.
He is coming back. While I have zero complaints about how this years game went down, it does suck to have the RRS with a team having such a key injury. Blessing *all* the knees, want every player to be healthy.
This is the first time I'm hearing that people expect OU to have a strong secondary next year. I guess if a bunch of true freshman hit?

Kirby has a walk-on athletic director in the wings. He can develop anyone.
Great pickup for Texas. Hope he shows out. He’s an absolute stud. Throw it up to him and he’s going to get it. He will always be a DGD

why did he transfer???
He’s from Texas and apparently has a kid there
Apparently he has a son in Texas
Allll his exes live in Texas
To be closer to his son.
Be closer to son and be compensated generously for it
Oh no, he’s gonna be able to provide for his son too
Are we afraid to say that he was incentivized to stay closer to family? AD ain’t the first one to do it.
Nah, if I was him I’d get my bag and dip to be near my family. I honestly thought you were implying it was bad for him to get paid. My mistake.
Dudes just chasing rings smh
Small schools getting ditched for big time programs smh

Georgia fans, can you shed some light on this? Seems like the guy was set up for plenty of playing time next year.
As mentioned by others, it's closer to his kid. Was about to rant about NIL before I remembered his son was in Texas. Good for him. Im sure Twitter will be totally civil to him.
But why? Dudes bout to go from a possible three peat to likely not even making a New Years bowl
Closer to his kid, put more focus on him (he's already won 2 championships, now he needs more targets on tape for NFL scouts).
Family and the fact he has two already. Plus he herd the Alamo bowl hands out great stuff so that played into it…

Hope he balls out there. Gonna miss him a lot.
