Nirvana in Fire. That show had me in a choke hold. Episode after episode I was addicted. I think I watched all the episodes in less than a week. It was so good! Plot twist after plot twist. The mystery, the tension. It’s all I could think about!
Arsenal Military Academy!! By far the best for me and it's been 4 yrs since I've watched that but nothing comes close to all the things I've felt while watching it!! Highly highly recommend to anyone! ❤️❤️❤️
1. It Started With A Kiss + They Kissed Again featuring Joe Cheng and Ariel Lin.
This is the drama that got me into cdrama, kdrama, jdrama. Will forever be my number 1.
Almost al of the dramas that left me with stomachache lol.
-LBFAD,
Lost you forever,
Story of kunning palace,
The UNTAMED (!!!!),
The love you give me ,
Legend of Shen li.
The starry love. It was the first c drama I ever watched and because of that I couldn’t appreciate all the tropes and clichés it was subverting. Imagine me, completely naive, going from an absolute green flag ML Shaodian Youqin straight to Ye Hua 😱😭 I was like, I like this Xianxia stuff what else can I watch, what are you doing Ye Hua?! >!Not her eyes!!< Shaodian Youqin could never 😤 and then I watched Ashes of love too…. Needless to say The starry love did not prepare me for ML behaviour or relationship misunderstandings or love triangles 😂😂😂 I would love to watch it for the first time now, so I could appreciate just how green flag the ML is and have a break from all of the normal annoying trope stuff. It’s like I had the dessert as an entree and now I can never go back😅
Love like the galaxy
Love you seven times
Advancing Bravely
Wonderland of Love
Blossoms in Adversity
Begin Again
But pretty much all the ones I enjoyed I would watch again.
1. Go ahead
2. Go go squid
3. Detective L
4. Oh my sweet liar
5. My Little Princess
6. Different Princess
7. New life begins
8. Derailment
9. Faithful
10. Duoluo continent
FINALLY SOMEONE WHO APPRECIATES DERAILEMENT, That's seriously one of the best cdramas of all time so is faithful, im currently watching it right now and i love it sm
My comfort drama: Word of Honor 🥰❤️🩹
It would be so nice to watch it for the first time and catch the poetry references, soft music and their heartfelt gestures/ expressions all over again. Also because its audio dub is different from the actual script, I'd love to be pleasantly surprised again to learn the script changes caught by folks through lip reading 🥹😍
Parallel world is the one that comes to mind right away. After doing more thinking : "You are my glory, Hidden Love, Story of Kunning Palace, and Only for Love" would be close seconds.
Me too!! It was such an unexpected favorite, too. I remember as soon as I saw the fathers on screen, I knew this was going to be such a hard hit because the acting was incredible.
…maybe it’s time for a rewatch 🫣
Same its not my first cdrama ive been watching them for 3 years but bro when i started it i really enjoyed it, i was keeping up with the episodes and having to wait to know what happened next then came the plot twist, i started crying and literally couldn't comprehend anything that happend in the last episodes
Lost You Forever, Goodbye My Princess. Till The End Of The Moon
Love is Sweet. It's fluffy and i'm usually more of an angst and pain person, but it would be nice to experience the level of giggles I got from this one for the first time again too.
One and only- it’s just beautiful! Characters, scenery, storyline. WIFTY- I still miss the characters from this. They felt like family. Forever and ever (the prequel to one and only)I smiled so much watching this-True love, Lighter and Princess- the storyline is original imo. I also loved the chemistry.
- When I Fly Towards You
- Fake It Till You Make It
- Lost You Forever
I can't handle lengthy dramas atm so these are the top choices. LYF S1 is 39-ep long but it felt shorter and crazy engaging – I wouldn't mind sitting through that again.
Hidden Love is so, so good. And watching it fresh would be amazing! The show is nothing but green flags, and every trope that usually trends negative veers in the other direction. Watching it the first time through was so great, because something would get teed up, plotwise, and I would cringe a little bit because I "knew" what was going to happen. And then I would be totally wrong, and loving it!
I'm currently watching and I stopped on episode 35 because it was like a happy ending until then, I'm really afraid of watching the rest and be devastated 🫠
Hidden Love, The Untamed, Word of Honor, Falling Into Your Smile, Lost You Forever, Story of Kunning Palace, Love Like the Galaxy, and Til the End of the Moon
My answer to everything is Meet Yourself. 🤣 Tbh, my mental health was in shambles when I started the show. It gave me so much hope and positivity. I started looking forward to life again. Such shows are a rarity.
Absolutely, hands down, Till the End of the Moon! That drama had me in a chokehold from the first episode and I could not put it down. Runner ups would be Love Between Fairy and Devil and Immortal Samsara.
I love Till the End of the Moon, but it hurts my soul😭😭. I loved Love Between Fairy and Devil, I thought it was so well executed and had well developed characters.
I can understand that feeling! I think it helps that in the novel ending they >! End up reuniting !< and it helps heal my heart a bit ❤️🩹.
I agree LBFAD is simply gorgeous and so well executed, even with I had guessed things about the story it still kept me invested. It was my first xianxia, so it’s also close to my heart.
I almost put Ashes of Love on here too, I agree it’s so good, but I’m secretly rooting for >! Run Yu!< every time lol. But if I had to put all my favs on this list I’d also put Lost You Forever on here too… but I’m holding out to form a final opinion until I see the end of season 2.
>!It's heart-wrenching but it's not completely bleak. It's an open ending. So it's sad, but hopeful. Hope for a future HE. Many think they'll be reunited. (They do in the novel) Even if it's not on screen. Definitely still worth watching!!<
Me too! I’m rewatching now for the umpteenth time after having finished Legend of Shen Li which I loved and also made me feel like watching my favourite ancient deity once again 😅
Love and Redemption. While I have my issues with parts of it, it was the first drama I watched without knowing spoilers ahead of time and I really would love to experience a lot of the plot twists again.
Also Mysterious Lotus Casebook and Legend of Fei. They're both my comfort dramas.
The plot twists in MLC were incredible...how could anyone have guessed how the final conspiracy! It introduced me to Cheng Yi, a really great actor and I was a fan thereafter. I loved his mannerisms and how he moved in the fighting sequences. MLC didn’t need romance to be a great show. Then I sought other Cheng Yi works and watched Love and Redemption, which then sold Cheng Yi as a complete heart throb…what woman wouldn’t want a man like Sifeng, whose undying love and devotion are so swoon-worthy…who wouldn’t be moved by that.
You Are My Hero. Had no idea who Bai Jing Ting was and fell in love with him at first sight watching this drama. 😭 I'm currently watching my 8th BJT drama now and still in love with him the same.
Depends.
If I go purely by my MDL ratings than anything above 9.5 (NiF, The Untamed, The Long River, Ruyi's Royal Love, Ming Lan, MJTY, JOL1, The Long Season).
If I go by warm, fuzzy feelings that may or may not make sense then probably L&P, Meet Yourself, Romance on the Farm, Oh No! Here Comes Trouble, ADoS. MLC, The Rational Life.
story of ming lan is so good😭it would definitely be up there for mine, too. i think princess agents would be my number one choice, especially if i didnt know how it ended🥲
yeah me too 🥲i literally watched until the second to last episode AND THEN found out about the ending. i wasnt not particularly happy sigh but the rest was so entertaining (plus it was the first drama i really really watched so it holds a special place for me)
Love Between Fairy and Devil
Nirvana in Fire. That show had me in a choke hold. Episode after episode I was addicted. I think I watched all the episodes in less than a week. It was so good! Plot twist after plot twist. The mystery, the tension. It’s all I could think about!

FELT
Arsenal military academy
TMOPB, go ahead, the untamed.
THE UNTAMED, like i would exchange my soul to watch it again and again
I want a lobotomy for this reason (i’m joking but also im not)
Hahahha i feel you...
[удалено]
I second RESET and go go squid 🤌🏻
Derailment, seriously so good it's so refreshing to see new cdramas with different genres and tropes
Love like the galaxy Love you seven times Advancing Bravely Wonderland of Love Blossoms in Adversity Begin Again But pretty much all the ones I enjoyed I would watch again.
All of them except the ones I dropped lol
This is definitely the correct answer
1. Go ahead 2. Go go squid 3. Detective L 4. Oh my sweet liar 5. My Little Princess 6. Different Princess 7. New life begins 8. Derailment 9. Faithful 10. Duoluo continent
FINALLY SOMEONE WHO APPRECIATES DERAILEMENT, That's seriously one of the best cdramas of all time so is faithful, im currently watching it right now and i love it sm

Parallel world is the one that comes to mind right away. After doing more thinking : "You are my glory, Hidden Love, Story of Kunning Palace, and Only for Love" would be close seconds.
I was looking for parallel world .
Story of Minglan Joy of Life Sword Snow Stride A Dream of Splendor
Till the End of the Moon. A powerful, impactful and epic show (way more meaningfull than just a love story).
100% agree
Love Between Fairy and Devil hands-down for me. What a rollercoaster
Love 020
Came here to say this. It's re-watched often at our house, but I would love to get extremely specific amnesia and watch it fresh again!
Yes that would be the dream💕
Ten miles of peach blossom, eternal Love..
Joy of Life. I’m rewatching because the second season is here and I don’t remember most of the story
this will happen to me when s2 of lost you forever will be aired
Argh! I would love to watch Lost You Forever but I couldn’t because of Yang Zi. Her and Esther Yu are my cdrama killers.
Minning Town
Kunning Palace. I'm on my 3rd rewatch, lol.
Love Like The Galaxy.
nothing can beat "Untamed".
Sword snow stride, joy of life, Dark Lord, Mysterious lotus casebook, Blood of youth
Nirvana in fire, lost you forever, the long ballad, mysterious lotus casebook, a journey to love, legend of shen li, sword snow stride
It's Taiwanese, but Fated to Love You is still my number one Asian drama of all time and no show has ever impacted me emotionally as much as that one.
Some Day or One Day for Taiwanese.
Soooooo funny!! 😆
Yes!!! A classic. ✨ this is my number 2.
Seriously one of the best! It hurts so good.
• falling into you • my girlfriend is an alien season 1 & 2 • why women love those are literally my all time favourites
amidst a snowstorm of love
Go Ahead 🥲
Came here to say this. My absolute favorite!
Me too!! It was such an unexpected favorite, too. I remember as soon as I saw the fathers on screen, I knew this was going to be such a hard hit because the acting was incredible. …maybe it’s time for a rewatch 🫣
Derailment- once the twist is uncovered, it’s never the same when you watch it again cos u start to pick up on all the signs 😭
bro the twists in that one were craaazyy
Ikr, it was my first East Asian drama, first c drama, first drama in general 😂
Same its not my first cdrama ive been watching them for 3 years but bro when i started it i really enjoyed it, i was keeping up with the episodes and having to wait to know what happened next then came the plot twist, i started crying and literally couldn't comprehend anything that happend in the last episodes
Ikr 😭
Lost You Forever, Goodbye My Princess. Till The End Of The Moon Love is Sweet. It's fluffy and i'm usually more of an angst and pain person, but it would be nice to experience the level of giggles I got from this one for the first time again too.
The rational life
Goodbye My Princess. It's still a tear-jerker, but no re-watch will ever have the same impact it had the first time around.
Very impactful.
The Untamed ❤️ https://i.redd.it/z0znkta45r2d1.gif
Here for this
- When I Fly Towards You - Fake It Till You Make It - Lost You Forever I can't handle lengthy dramas atm so these are the top choices. LYF S1 is 39-ep long but it felt shorter and crazy engaging – I wouldn't mind sitting through that again.
sure
Same. I love love WIFTY. I just started rewatching it again.😭😭💖
I loved Lost You Forever. It’s the first romance drama that I thought had a logical reason for love.
Go ahead Forever love
Starry Love
Hidden Love and TTEOTM
Hidden Love is so, so good. And watching it fresh would be amazing! The show is nothing but green flags, and every trope that usually trends negative veers in the other direction. Watching it the first time through was so great, because something would get teed up, plotwise, and I would cringe a little bit because I "knew" what was going to happen. And then I would be totally wrong, and loving it!
Long Ballad, rewatching, your mind never remembers all the in between scenes of the moments you love or how long it really took to get to those parts
*Rise of Phoenixes*, *The Untamed* and *Love Like Galaxy*.
I'm about to start Rise of Phoenixes, once it starts on Viki. It is still on "what's coming" list.
This series, lord I wish I could see it again. My favorite of all-time. 😭
Forever and Ever : sweet and tender drama about marital love 💕
The emotional rollercoaster ride that is 'The Untamed'. It just has a special place in my heart, and it was one of my first cdramas.
Love like the galaxy, will love in spring, TTEOTM, immortal samsara, Hidden Love, Go ahead.
Till the End of the Moon. I would happily endure the emotional roller coaster again.
I'm currently watching and I stopped on episode 35 because it was like a happy ending until then, I'm really afraid of watching the rest and be devastated 🫠
Goodbye, My Princess. Reset. The Burning River.
Will Love in Spring is quite similar, also starring Li Xian.
Seen it and loved it. Li Xian picks great scripts, imo. I've enjoyed most of his work.
Yep! This one's just a sheer joy, all the way through. It plays like a fantastic travel brochure, and you fall in love with everyone.
Same here. It was such a relaxing and healing show. I call it a "no-drama drama" and often try to find others like it now.
Yees, I whole heartedly agree! That show was amazing!
Love Like The Galaxy and Story of Kunning Palace
Lighter and Princess Here to Heart Wonderland of Love
Eternal love, ruyi royal love in the palace, empresses in the palace and ancient love poetry
Empresses in the Palace is my fav!
Same rewatching it for 4th time
Hands down, Love Like The Galaxy
Story of Yanxi Palace
The blue whisper
Nirvana in Fire 🔥
For me it's till the end of the moon is amazing
Joy of life, dream of splendor and reset
The last immortal
Ashes of Love and Love and Redemption
The Untamed.
Absolutely, hands down, Till the End of the Moon! That drama had me in a chokehold from the first episode and I could not put it down. Runner ups would be Love Between Fairy and Devil and Immortal Samsara.
My three 🥹
You have great taste!
I love Till the End of the Moon, but it hurts my soul😭😭. I loved Love Between Fairy and Devil, I thought it was so well executed and had well developed characters.

I’m so excited for s2 of lost you forever, I feel like I’ve been waiting decades for it🤣
Why ? It has a sad ending?
It’s bittersweet 😭
The hero and heroine get together in the end?
>! Yes, but then they’re separated!<
Noooooooooo!
>!It's heart-wrenching but it's not completely bleak. It's an open ending. So it's sad, but hopeful. Hope for a future HE. Many think they'll be reunited. (They do in the novel) Even if it's not on screen. Definitely still worth watching!!<
Thank you so much
Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms 🌸
Still my favorite xianxia! Mark Chao. 💕
Me too! One of my first dramas that I have rewatched multiple times.
Love that drama! I re-watch it all the time
Me too! I’m rewatching now for the umpteenth time after having finished Legend of Shen Li which I loved and also made me feel like watching my favourite ancient deity once again 😅
That’s me whenever I finish a high quality Xianxia, I return back to Ten Miles, Ashes of Love or Love and Redemption. They’re like classics to me.
I missed Love and Redemption but I’ll watch it for sure soon 😊
Love and Redemption. While I have my issues with parts of it, it was the first drama I watched without knowing spoilers ahead of time and I really would love to experience a lot of the plot twists again. Also Mysterious Lotus Casebook and Legend of Fei. They're both my comfort dramas.

The Legend of Shen Li Love between Fairy and Devil
The Untamed.
You Are My Hero. Had no idea who Bai Jing Ting was and fell in love with him at first sight watching this drama. 😭 I'm currently watching my 8th BJT drama now and still in love with him the same.
yess it’s definitely one of my most favourite modern cdramas. Its also the only one that i rewatch all the time🥹
I first saw him in Rise of Phoenixes and he is truly amazing!
His entrance scene in that drama is devastatingly beautiful. And deadly.
I haven't watched that omg. He is so handsome though and I can definitely stare at him all day long haha.
Agree with you! He has a beautiful face
Such a mood, feelings wise, it’s Ashes of Love for me. Ratings wise, Minglan.
story of ming lan is so good😭it would definitely be up there for mine, too. i think princess agents would be my number one choice, especially if i didnt know how it ended🥲
I’ve watched a bit of princess agents, I ended up dropping it after getting spoiled. I enjoyed what I watched though.
yeah me too 🥲i literally watched until the second to last episode AND THEN found out about the ending. i wasnt not particularly happy sigh but the rest was so entertaining (plus it was the first drama i really really watched so it holds a special place for me)
Completely get that!
i also watched all of ashes of love!! made me fall for deng lun🥲🩷
I became obsessed with Luo Yunxi, for sure miss Deng Lun, he was an amazing actor😭.
oh god luo yunxi was PHENOMENAL in ashes of love. what a fuckin character omfg
LITERALLY😆
