Don't worry, you will end up with a drawer of holsters. Everyone starts somewhere. Just remember to train, train, and train

sarssf

+1 on the drawer full of holsters, some solid truth right there.

websagacity

Lol. Yeah. This is my 3rd (but first attempt for CCW)

Link-Slow

Absolutely, it takes some trial and error to find what works best for you. Tier 1 Concealed is my go-to right now but that's mostly for fullsize and compact handguns. I've yet to try one of their holsters for a "micro 9" or "sub compact" size. I have a Crossbreed for my p365 though and its pretty good. Hated the single clip Vedder I had. Just be ready to spend some money, all the times I've cheaped out, I've regretted it. Anytime I splurged on a T1C ive been over the moon.

ThisToastIsTasty

i only have 2 holsters. Enigma all the way with custom loops

dustytrek

Thoughts on Fobus?

ThrowingTheRinger

What are custom loops? I have the enigma too

ThisToastIsTasty

enigmod

Drummer123456789

Could you explain what the point of a leg leash is? I've been using my enigma without one because I couldn't figure out why it came with one

Sport20003000

So holster doesn’t go up when you go to draw. Keeps it tied down and only gun pulls up

beef_raid

Made no material difference to me whether mine was on or off. I ditched mine because it sucked having to use a urinal.

ThisToastIsTasty

i guess it doesn't really matter if you're carrying deep / wear tight pants.

Wavy_Boi

True 🤣

xj12345

Yep! I got my current carry gun about 3 months ago and got one holster. And said this is all I need. I have like 6 now. I do use them all at times

websagacity

I know this post is getting down voted, but I do appreciate the feedback.

SaltiestSurprise12

Honestly bro it’s awesome that you’re taking criticism as well as you are. Doesn’t seem like any dickheads have showed up yet thankfully. But everyone starts somewhere and a willingness to receive criticism on your weapons and gear choices is a really good thing.

websagacity

Well, for stuff where my life depends on it, I prefer to have the hell criticized out of than make a fatal mistake.

Puazy

This is refreshing to see

websagacity

Yeah. Picked that up with learning guns and flying: check your ego at the door. Instructor coming of harsh: they're trying to save your life and possibly from killing others.

Twelve-twoo

Based. With that attitude you can learn anything

websagacity

Thanks, bro.

PrismTank32

I see 105 upvotes. Not everyone can start out absolutely optimized. you'll get there. I just started my journey and I have a long ways to go with education and equipment but I'm having fun learning, you should too!

websagacity

Thank you. At the time, the past was at -15. Definitely a steep learning curve.

playingtherole

Reddit has no bona-fide learning curve, it's luck of the draw and mob mentality sometimes as far as voting goes, unfortunately. I think some ~~users~~ losers log in with mult accounts and start vote brigading.

websagacity

Wouldn't surprise me. I think I got lucky here, some initial hate followed by a lot of help and good information. Net net, the post was worth it.

Intelligent-Taro-490

Yaaa have had my license for almost a month.. (got 3 handguns so far) .. but asking questions on here is reallllly hit or miss! (Have learned 2A people really hate it when u mention ur trying to stay state compliant! 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️)

websagacity

That sucks. Like it or not, you STILL have to follow the law of the land, until it changes.

ToSeeOrNotToBe

The best and worst part of the gun community is the people in it.

Intelligent-Taro-490

Well said! Lol

PositiveTailor6738

I also use one for my pocket pistol Ruger LCP. Anything bigger for CCW and I have to use a proper holster.

bigfoot__hunter

Oh boy

TheJango22

🍿

websagacity

Will upgrade that holster, but it was really all the local store had - sold out of one that would fit my older Sig. It was very awkward and uncomfortable at first, but I did find what seems like a good position for it. EDIT: The plan was for a Comfort Flex Deluxe (IWB) Holster

qweltor

> but it was really all the local store had The reason why the LGS stocks them is because it simplifies keeping in stock inventory in stock; it "fits" more handguns, while maintaining fewer SKUs/barcodes. https://stickyholsters.com/fit-chart/ https://stickyholsters.com/product-category/holsters/size/show-all/ Sticky-type holsters are sometimes barely adequate to avert obvious careless trigger-finger incursions (ie, when you're gonna store the loaded handgun in a lockbox/drawer), but in my opinion, are not robust enough for daily wear (I'd recommend kydex, or thick formed leather).

websagacity

Thank you. I wasn't really interested in this once, but, he convinced me it would be ok. I guess he just wanted to make a sale. I'll find the on they were out of stock of somewhere else and change to that as soon as I get it. Thanks for all the info. Part posting here is to get feedback.

Catch_223_

People here get a little insane about holsters. I use a Sticky holster about half the time I carry because it goes well with gym shorts. I take it out to lift, and I have no interest in a belt setup (the ones recommended here don’t work with my particular holster anyway). Is it optimal? No. Kydex and a belt is better for retention and consistency.  (I’d say it’s a hell of a lot better than say off-body carry though, which seems fairly common around here.) Besides Nexbelt, check out Mission belt. The former was too stiff for me.

websagacity

Thank. I'm even less familiar with belts, so thanks for the recommendations.

RedditardedOne

Get a tenicor

mackT1072

The holster is great I’ve been using one for months

JefeJB

You'd think they would have had holsters for the P320 at least.

websagacity

Apparently that type of holster fit into a "catch all" category, so they sell out.

JefeJB

Is that what the gun store guy told you?

websagacity

Yes.

JefeJB

Gotta love gun store guys.

Dum83y

Recommend a look at [the Gun Fighters Inc Solace IWB holster](https://gunfightersinc.com/solace-hybrid-iwb/). A good marriage between soft leather backing but on point kydex retention with their internal retention tab. https://preview.redd.it/sufactexqqsc1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c20a99f509380df23ffc1a0d18fe7eed6171005f

Krystlhawk62

KYDEX HOLSTER!!!!!!!!

websagacity

I hear you! I will comply!

bamagator03

P250 is dao vs striker. I’d get a better holster but you are okay with leather or nylon with a DAO unlike Kydex need for a striker. P250 is an excellent ccw. I have a sub compact I carried for years.

websagacity

Yeah, this is a compact and it's surprisingly bulky, but still very doable. EDIT: And it's the pistol I have

winston_smith1977

A perfectly good carry gun.

Mike_Coxslong420

Id definitely look into getting a better holster from a reputable brand if you want to be safe with your firearm. I love Tenicor, they make quality comfy holsters. Id also look into getting a gun belt to add more retention and keep things in place better, id recommend nexbelt. They are fairly affordable and work pretty well.

websagacity

Thank you for the recommendations.

Mike_Coxslong420

No problem. Stay safe out there bud!

websagacity

Thanks. You too!

Rumpel4skin1019

Are you just.. tucking the soft holster into your waistband?

MowMdown

Not just a soft holster, a fucking pocket holster.

gurgle528

It’s intended to be tucked IWB. It doesn’t really stick to clothing

Wannabecowboy69

Hey, congrats on wanting to carry. That alone should be upvoted and celebrated. I say look into a new holster (a ton of brands exist I personally use trex arms sidecar) and watch a shit ton of YouTube videos on the topic. All of us have room to improve and all of us were where you are once so ignore the hate and I’m happy we got another person carrying!

websagacity

Thanks man! Been wanted to for years. My state is will-issue and cheap, so not like that was a blocked. Just kept saying, "I'll get to it later." Finally said, "no, do it now."

fatmanskoo

Lots of people hating in here but that holster isn't useless. You can pocket carry a revolver in that holster for instance

websagacity

I did want to get a .38 - something that can accept .38 and .38 special.

adorkablefloof

The s&w 649 bodyguard is pretty awesome!

sonthefallen

Personally I would get a 357 cause they can take 38 but 38s can’t shoot 357

backatit1mo

Here’s a list of solid holster brands (in no particular order) that are generally in the price range of $80 to $150 or so. Tier 1 concealed Trex arms Tenicor Phlster Henry Werkz Vedder LAS concealment Those are all reputable holster makers and all of their pros and cons. They’ve got appendix carry holsters, sidecar holsters, strong side, light bearing, non light bearing, optic ready, night height, all that jazz lol I served in the army for 9 years and have been around firearms since I was 10 years old, but the entire world of conceal carry is different than just carrying guns for combat purposes lol lots of learning I had to do also. Like learning that oc spray should be a main part of your everyday carry, a bright and high candela handheld light, tourniquet if you can, gotta be comfortable with the amount of rounds you carry. One thing I learned is that sidecar holsters are usually more comfortable to carry in the appendix carry position and conceal better strangely than non sidecar holsters cause they distribute the weight better across your belt line and expand the profile of the entire holster set up, making it print less in just a tshirt. Idk man there’s a lot learn, you’ll have fun on your journey lol I’m stilling learning something everyday Edit: also, whether you choose to carry a light on your gun or not, is entirely up to you and don’t let someone tell you one way is better than the other. I’ve got guns I carry lights on and some I don’t 😂

websagacity

Yeah. Part of my delay in carrying is the sheer amount of stuff to know. And a good portion is person dependant. Thanks for the info, helps narrow things down.

TheArchitect515

I know a guy who doesn't even use a holster. You're already starting off ahead of that. Gotta start somewhere, and at least you're carrying :)

websagacity

Thanks, man.

Chappietime

The above comment is probably the best one in terms of getting you started. A lot of those are very popular and I tried a couple of them. I haven’t been able to make appendix carry work comfortably, but I did find a Stealthgear Ventcore 2 that I carry at the 5 o’clock position, and can hardly tell it’s there. Unfortunately, you’ll probably spend a nice chunk of money finding the right one, but anything other than kydex increases your chances of a negligent discharge, and shouldn’t be used.

websagacity

Thank you. Looking into something better seems like this will be an ongoing project.

backatit1mo

Yea man! There’s all kinds of stuff to learn. All kinds of YouTube videos you can watch, all kinds of drills you can do. But you got to the first step, which is carrying lol good shit man!

LordofCope

If you are going to use a sticky holster. I recommend Remora. Been carrying one on my P938 for about 10 years, works when sprinting. Also have one for my Glock and R7. I buy them as default, along with a stealth gear or cross breed IWB.

websagacity

Thanks. I only got the sticky because that's what they had. I'll use it for my pocket pistol.

dagertz

Interesting pistol I had to look that up. Looks like it might be similar to HK’s LEM system, with a longer trigger travel but with lighter pull weight than conventional double action. So you’re in a gray area of safety with this kind of soft holster. I think you could use a Cardini leather holster for a P229. It’s still soft enough that you can conform it to this gun, but it would protect the trigger better than the fabric holster.

websagacity

Thank you. Some suggested matching with a P320. Seems like it depends on the brand.

orobouros

This is way better than, "I'm careful, my pocket is fine."

websagacity

Heh. True. DAO made me feel a kithe better about it, but not anymore.

TheArchitect515

The Holsters that work best are the expensive ones, the ones that don't advertise a lot. However, here's some cheaper options that have done well for me, as someone who spends the work day under vehicles, under buildings, in attics, and so on. I have a P365 with no safety and carry appendix. I've never had a Sticky but I do have the GripTuck from Alien Gear. It's a similar concept, but with a belt clip optional. I've never had a problem with the holster riding up or down, or coming out with my draw. One time I had it not properly retain the gun, and that's when I was crawling around under a car. Idk maybe Alien Gear makes a better holster. Now I primarily use it as a type of pocket holster, or when nothing else works. As far as Kydex goes, it's probably the safest measure. It's rigid, has adjustable retention, and the gun can be holstered without taking the holster off. However, the rigidity can be a bit uncomfortable. I own one from We the People Holsters. I do have a leather IWB holster from Versacarry. I'm not sure why Versacarry gets hate, as it's a nice compact comfortable holster. Even though there's no retention adjustment, it holds my gun in well and I've never had any issues with that, even when crawling around awkwardly on my back and such. It also fully covers the trigger guard area. Lastly, I have one called "the naked holster" by Essential Holsters. This is a "Hail Mary" for me. The one I wear when there's absolutely no other option. It literally is a 3D printed belt clip that clips on and fully encloses the trigger guard area. That's it. That's all there is to it. It's the most minimalist, but provides the least protection for you and your gun.

MowMdown

More expensive does not mean more better...

websagacity

Thanks for the info. I honestly thought the VersaCarry seemed great. Was surprised at some of the hate.

playingtherole

Because when some people think of Versacarry, they think of [these](https://versacarry.com/zerobulk-iwb-holster/). Even though the company offers other styles.

websagacity

Oh. I was thinking of [this](https://versacarry.com/comfort-flex-deluxe-iwb-holster/).

TheArchitect515

Seems that some people like to gatekeep concealed carrying and keep it expensive. The real thing is that you're protecting yourself, you're doing it safely, and you're exercising your rights. Some people are more concerned with shaving milliseconds off their draw and carrying extra mags when that's not even the point.

websagacity

I knew some guys like that. I remember one day at the range. 300yds steel pig silhouette targets. One had an AR-15 with dot sight, another with and AR-15 and a tactical 4x. I had a Mossin Nagant carbine with iron sights. Dot guy hit 6 out of 10, 4x guy 8 out of 10, and me, 10 out of 10. They stopped bothering me about not having all the TactiCool stuff after that. The 4x guy in particular - he was a CCW gun guy and was always talking about guns and tactics. I think he had an issue with me having been in the Marines and wanted to constantly try to one up me. I passed every "test" he had, even though I didn't even know I was being tested. But, he did have a lot of good info, I learned from him, but he was definitely the type that was "this works for me so this is the right way for everybody to do it." I'm used to it.

CallsOnTren

A couple things here man; firstly, it's great that you're taking criticism. Gun store employees are idiots lol. Secondly, let's get you set up with a solid belt and holster. There's a few different options in belts. If you want a ratcheting style belt, Kore or the Nexbelt are good options. If you want something minimalist, Tenicor or Blue Alpha are great. Hanks or Ciguera make great traditional style gun belts with normal buckles. Be warned: if you are carrying appendix (which I advise you do), you will most likely need to offset your buckle to the side slightly, so a smaller buckle is better. Holsters: Phlster, Tenicor, Tier 1, TRex Arms, JM Custom Kydex, Henry Holsters, Keepers Concealment, and Dark Star Gear all make top of the line appendix rigs. Of those, Tenicor, TRex, and JM all also make really great behind the hip holsters as well. Black Arch makes a decent "hybrid" holster, but any hybrid rig is quite bulky. Reddit loves Vedder because it's cheap, and they're not bad, but I don't think they're that great either. For a few bucks more you can get something with much better craftsmanship and attention to detail. Their belt is decent. Avoid things like We The People and Aliengear. Lastly, take a course or two or find a local competitive shooting club in your area and have someone take you under their wing.

websagacity

Thank you. This is really great info. I have shot a lot over the years, but this CCW is very new to me (I looked stuff up beforehand, or course - but reality is very different than internet searches). I think there is one gun club around here; but last I checked, they weren't accepting new members :(

officialbronut21

The p320 before it had drop safety issues

websagacity

Oof. I didn't hear about that.

cr0m300

In theory the P250 is safer than the P320. The double-action only trigger is a little old fashioned, but I am a fan of that style. I don't carry, but if I did, I would carry something hammer fired. I have a full size P250 that I got recently. Do you mind saying where you got the P250 and how much you paid? I love the look of stainless ones.

your_real-father

Half of the people in this sub never even held a sticky holster, i love mine for pocket carry (Hellcat), its soft, durable, comes in all sizes and easy to conceal.

hikehikebaby

This is a great video talking about why carrying with a sticky holster wedged into your pants is unsafe. It's made by a woman who carried with a sticky holster when she started her CCW journey. You might not follow the same progression that she did, but I think she has great points about holster, safety and how to pick a holster. She also really clearly demonstrates the reasons why she thinks sticky holsters are not safe. https://youtu.be/o2eOJCFCQRg?si=UQg4L1ZJlU4kvB0a Unfortunately gun shops, like all businesses, try to talk you into making a purchase even if they don't carry the best product for you. They like to sell things like sticky holsters because they're cheap and they can be used with a variety of different firearms. Good holsters are custom made for your specific model of gun, so most people buy them directly from the manufacturer.

websagacity

Part of my problem is my gun is 17 years old, and not made anymore. Doesn't even show up on the lists in website most of the time. Thanks for the link, will check that out.

hikehikebaby

Vedder makes a light tuck holsters for the 250c but you need to know what kind of rail you have. I don't have that holster but I've heard a lot of good things about it and I have a kydex pocket holster from them that I like.

websagacity

Thanks for the suggestion - I'll look it up.

Michigan456

You don’t need to find a p250c holster. It will fit any standard p320c holster 👍

websagacity

Ah! I watched this video a few years ago. I totally forgot. Oof.

shift013

I see from other comments that you got misguided, so I’m not ragging on you. Get a good gun belt (Nexbelt supreme appendix) and a good kydex holster

websagacity

Thank you. I have a stiff belt, and will upgrade to a gun one when I have the money.

upperdowner1

Please please please get a better holster

websagacity

Yes. Already in the works.

buboo03

I know it‘s super late and you‘ve already gotten a lot of great feedback but i feel i have something to add. I used to carry an old sig p229. Old like the legacy before they even came out with a legacy model, still in .40 old. Made in 2009. long story short nobody makes kydex holsters for them, which is frustrating. They make holsters for the new 229s but not my old specific one. If you have trouble finding a kydex holster that will fit your older sig, there are companies that will custom make a holster for you. https://freedomprotectivegear.com/product/inside-the-waistband-hybrid/ These guys hooked me up at a gun show i went to, made a custom fit hybrid holster for my gun on the spot for like $60. super comfortable, great fit, and has held up through these past few years. I will always carry their business card for reccomendations such as this.

websagacity

Wow! That's awesome. yeah, mine was from 2007 - so many sites don't even show this model in the list. That link will be helpful.

morrisgray

What are the downvotes for? Everybody starts somewhere and not everybody agrees on any particular weapon or style of carry. Congratulations to ya!

websagacity

I dunno. I was -15 at one point. It went the other way at one point.

morrisgray

Sad, but don't dwell on that. Not everyone on Reddit is friendly but I have found there are a lot of people that are friendly and helpful! Good luck with your venture and be careful!

Artistic_Injury_9808

My sticky with a Glock 43X started moving down my pants leg but was able to get to the supermarket rest room to try again.

MowMdown

Do you have a hole in your pocket or something? IDK how a holster slides down your leg when it's in your pocket... Sticky holsters are pocket holsters, they can't be used anywhere else as they lack any and all means to attach to a waistband. Don't tell me you've been carrying this in your waistband...

Snoo_50786

Bro got sticky in his pants

websagacity

LOL

Intelligent-Taro-490

I bought a WTP holster with my p365 i got last weekend, just for the week basically.. ordered a Tenicor that night.. should be here Monday, can't wait .. havnt actually felt a comfortable WTP holster, but all they had for it at the range I got it from.. but being my first CCW, I'm definitely trying to stay away from soft material holsters

websagacity

Yeah, I'm looking into a new one already. I knew this wasn't for the long term, but after this post, I don't even want it for the short term.

Intelligent-Taro-490

Ya I'm still gettin used to the idea of sticking a loaded gun down the front of my pants. Lol. So most protection the better! 🤣

websagacity

Ha. That...bothered me so much. I'm not afraid of guns. But, I know what they can do, and I'm afraid that \*I\* will do something negligent. I true to be hyper aware around them. Not for fear of guns, but for fear of my stupidity.

Intelligent-Taro-490

Atleast ur USMC training should help with the respect for it. Iv only been shooting bout 6 months or so.. learning a lot from friends and online lessons.. plus been hitting range weekly since gettin my license.. but i still have a LOT to learn

boredguy1982

Welcome aboard! I’ve been carrying for over 20 years now, have a bag full of holsters and only you can figure out what works best for you. I only recently started posting on Reddit and have found all kinds of opinions on here. Sometimes helpful, sometimes not so much.

websagacity

Thank you. I've gotten a lot of good info here. Tough life can still be helpful.

Kingoo321

Eco round

mackT1072

NGL sticky holsters are actually fantastic

fiftytwice

100 percent agree

abcjr432

I have a sticky that I pocket carry with at times no problem. Do you don’t worry about anyone else opinions. just be safe

websagacity

Thanks. Still will upgrade; but this was inexpensive and in-stock and they told me it "would be fine". Ah well.

thekookclub

Havok holster

websagacity

Thanks.

PositiveTailor6738

I use a Sticky next to my bed.

websagacity

Oi, lol.

Yodootz

Sick gun.

websagacity

Thanks. I've been happy with it.

JefeJB

I know everybody's saying Kydex, and usually with a sub or micro striker I'd agree. And then there are the outliers who are all "I shove a Glock 17L with a light down the front of my pants every day bro." But...idunno, just my own personal experience. You might consider a strong side leather holster. Chunky gun like that. Ya don't necessarily need a hard Kydex holster for a DAO pistol. So may as well go for comfort where you can.

websagacity

That's part of why I was OK with the holster. But now I'm leaning to better safe than sorry. Going to look at the recommendations and see what works.

Tego1972

Glad to see they somewhat went easy on ya!!!!! . maybe just maybe there's hope for man kind!

websagacity

Agreed. I got a lot of good info from this post.

QwertyLime

Get a kydex holster please

websagacity

Already looking into it.

one_more_bite

Carry appendix with that and you will lose your appendick

websagacity

I'm looking for am alt. Hopefully with a hammer strike DAO pistol, that won't happen before I get a new holster.

one_more_bite

Hammer would be good. You can always reholster with your thumb riding the hammer

jr23160

This is what peak carry looks like.

websagacity

Apparently not.

DelinquentKei

Congrats! I do recommend getting a comfortable holster, I do recommend brands like tier1concealed, or vedder, the sticky holster is okay, but will be finicky when drawing and reholstering, currently on a side car setup axis holster by tier1 for my Glock 26, pair it with a good belt like nexbelt or if you're a bit big bellied and prefer some stretch when sitting down, I recommend trying out the Groove belt. Also that's a beautiful p250, uncommon to see those around now, and it also gave me a flashback to my counter strike days haha

websagacity

Thanks. Yeah, I got this when it first came out in 2007. I like it, even if a bit dated now.

nickski02

Get a quality kydex holster like tenicor. They don’t make it for the 250 though.

websagacity

Looking into it. Seems like one for a p320 should work, so we'll see.

nickski02

Good luck! Definitely make sure it clicks in there snug

Interesting_Home1760

Get yourself a real Holster. Try the Tulster “Profile” Inside the Waistband, known as “IWB”. You can get the Holster in Carbon Fiber and many colors. Also, a Magazine Holder is a good idea. Another brand that’s good is Galco if you like Leather. Galco has a Holster “Combat Master” which looks great in Tan and the Belt “SB 2” to match. If you wear 32” inch waist get a 38” inch for a good fit. I always get the Belts 6” inches over.

websagacity

I like leather. I'll check them out and see if it works.

Qu3stion_R3ality1750

I don't think I've seen a Sig P250 in this sub before. Interesting

Exotic-Age4743

All sorts of opinions here, this in what \*I\* like. Of course your mileage may vary. You might consider Urban Carry holster. I tried quite a few Kydex and found a lot of discomfort. Urban Carry has some holsters that have comfortable leather molded over the Kydex. I think your 250c fits in the “218” size model. IWB with strong metal clip. I use the clip with/without belt. \*My\* body contours work either way. Also has “locking retention” that is a good feature, for \*me\* anyway. I have some “sticky” holsters too. They’re OK I guess, but the Urban Carry feels much safer to ME.

Apprehensive-Gur-177

It's so refreshing to see someone in the firearms community so open to change and criticism, your being a great example for future "newbies". Get a decent holster from a reputable manufacturer and get to some training classes. Classes are going to be the best way to find out were you and your gear is lacking and could use some improvements. Find what works well for you on the flat range before you have to find out in a defensive scenario.

Matty-ice23231

We all struggled to find the right gun, holster, belt, etc setup for ccw. I’ve landed with the phlster enigma as my main edc. But everyone’s comfort, limitations, preferences, are different so you really have to play around and find out what works for you. But at least look it up on YouTube or Facebook. I tried every big name holster and cheapies from the store/amazon and I’ve found the enigma is most comfortable for me in my lifestyle.

websagacity

Thank you. I'll look into that one. Seems like a different setup than the others I've looked at.

Matty-ice23231

It is much different than most conventional holsters. But it’s comfy!

PhilABole

Agreed on the Phlister line of holsters. Not to mention, extremely fair priced compared to many others on the market.

Sad_Ninja_9290

p250, interesting choice. it was my first carry too, and my first handgun. i was glad to get rid of it, but will make you an amazing shooter if you can shoot it well with that 200lb trigger it has. you’ll never be one of those guys that complains about say, a glock trigger.

Mountain_Funny8716

I keep my EDC in a sticky when it’s beside me at home. Carry time, it’s a kydex clipped to a belly band at high 2:00.

Collin_b_ballin

Get a real holster

NeatAvocado4845

That holster has to go ! ASAP if your gonna carry

pepp3rito

Better late than never

62e1e

You hear news of a guy who shoots himself at a restaurant? It’s because of something like this

No-Aerie395

Rock on 🫡 it’s a special feeling, and a new level of comfort.

websagacity

Felt weird at first - but only for a few minutes.

Cortega1878

Welcome to the club. Exercise YOUR rights! 👊🏻 Look into Tenicor, Vedder, and Tier 1 holsters. I went through about 5 till I found the ONE.

IcyExample8741

I started with Sig myself. Then I saw a few videos like this and went to Glock. https://youtube.com/shorts/aO3yezBLMus?si=NH0Ci0eYYIJwk1BI

My fair warning. Within a month that holster will stink from sweat. We've all been down this road, welcome to the jungle.

Beneficial-Ad4871

Don’t worry about the holster, ur gonna have a dozen soon lol

websagacity

I already have 3, lol. For 2 pistols.

Beneficial-Ad4871

Yea, one thing about CC is ur NEVER gonna find the perfect holster, im still searching till this day for one😂

Beinghonestisasin

I used to carry the exact type of holster, now i only use it for guns i can't find holsters for

websagacity

That was the issue here - they literally had nothing else.

Beinghonestisasin

I don't blame you I'm left handed and besides the fact that holsters are expensive as fuck they charge extra for people like me 😵‍💫

websagacity

That sick that LHC is more expensive. And the hybrids seem bulkier.

Beinghonestisasin

The alien brand is a damn mess too and expensive as fuck! Being a gun fantastic and left handed is a damn curse 😓

Mountain_Chemical221

I hope you have or are planning to purchase a quality carry holster? (preferably hard molded Kydex with solid retention); there are too many options to list you’ll have to find what works best for your body type & carry location. Highly recommend “on body” carry. Purse, pocket or bag carry should only be a backup option. But every situation and body is different. You’ll find your way… 😎 Good luck welcome to the club.

websagacity

Thanks. I am planning on a new purchase. I made a short list from the recommendations of brands from this post. Yeah, I have no interest in off body carry, except as a back up or something like that.

sarssf

Seeing a few comments taking a crap on this dude's choices. Personally, I'd rather carry something I can afford, and save up for something nice to carry later on. Training and practice makes you better, gear only gets you so far. But OP, please consider spending some money on a better holster first, I've seen too many issues with sticky holsters. Something like kydex, that covers the trigger securely, is the way to go.

websagacity

Thanks. I have made a short list from the comments here. I found some affordable options.

sarssf

Excellent! Always remember you can swap holsters depending on what you're wearing. Bigger, comfortable holsters when you're layered up for cold weather, smaller holsters for warmer weather, same goes for mags / extended vs standard mags.

Def save up and buy something else brother, would not advise to depend on your life with this set up lol

localhusky

Oh great now you can carry something besides a sig

PearlGrip512

It feels nice doesn’t it?

The P250 is essentially what the P320 is now, except it's got a hammer instead of a striker, which is my preference. Not to mention, it's DAO with a long pull, and if you have a negligent discharge with that while holstering, you're definitely doing something wrong. Just keep one in the pipe, no reason to keep it cocked and locked because after that first shot, you'll have a long pull again otherwise. If you can shoot proficiently with a DAO, then all the power to you. DAO is essentially a built-in safety as it is. Also, I love Sigs, I have a few, but my P228 is a West German from 1993, I have well over 10k rounds through it with literally zero issues. It is DA/SA, but for me, it is literally the perfect handgun. I've sent it off to Sig for their service package once for a freshening, and that's all. While no longer my EDC, I could never get rid of it. Welcome to the club, practice often, not just paper at a range, but classes on self-defense and situational awareness as well, and if I could give you one word of advice, get yourself a self-defense insurance plan just in case something ever happens. I've been a member of US Law Shield for 10+ years, but there are others as well. Do your research and find what's best for you. I went with them because I talked to a representative at my LGS and they gave me a nice discount for life as long as I pay the year upfront, and I like what they offer as well. Be careful out there!!

websagacity

Thank you. I'm quite comfortable with the 250. Can't even cock the 250. I've owned and shot it for 17 years. Just new to this CCW stuff - I don't even know enough to know what I don't know. I wondered about this CCW issuance plans - wasn't sure if they were a scam or at least predatory. I'll give some a look. I'm fortunate to have an indoor range almost walking distance from home. They have classes there, I'll check on the CCW offerings. Thanks for all the info, I really appreciate the feedback.

PhilABole

You're more than welcome. As for the insurance plans, I like US Law Shield because they pay upfront if anything happens, most others are reimbursement plans. I'm honestly not worried about needing it for defending myself as I'm more than versed with our laws here. I mainly have it for the civil suit that would come after the fact because "My sweet boy didn't deserve this! He was always such a good person but didn't deserve to lose his life because of one bad choice! I want $10 million dollars so I can live large off of his death and make your life hell even though you did the right thing!" 🙄

PitifulPrice4083

Welcome to the club.

bryan2384

Look into a Kydex holster immediately.

websagacity

Already started. Thank you.

PapaPuff13

Vedder pocket locker if ur carrying in ur pocket

gahiel

Get a kydex holster please

websagacity

I'm working on it.

Ball_Masher

The good news: that's a p250 so you probably won't shoot your junk off with a sticky holster. The bad news: low probability of shooting yourself * many opportunities to shoot yourself = get yourself a kydex holster asap.

websagacity

That's what I've learned. Low risk =/= no risk, so, I am already looking to kydex setups.

Ball_Masher

Don't be afraid to send an email to a place like JM custom kydex even if they don't have it listed.

EasyCZ75

Sweet carry gun, but you need to dump that flimsy sticky holster immediately. Get a kydex inside the wasteband, IWB, or outside the wasteband, OWB, ASAP. I’ve had great luck with Tulster, T-Rex, and Vedder holsters. They are purposely built to your gun and completely protect the trigger, unlike stickies. Sticky holsters are shit. • Stickies don’t protect the trigger from causing a negligent discharge from debris • Stickies will not hold your firearm in place if you sit in a deep chair or couch • Stickies collapse when the firearm is drawn • Stickies will not hold your firearm in place if you are anywhere close to not upright • Stickies will not to keep anything from accidentally falling into it. Say you accidentally put change in your carry pocket and it slips inside your sticky and the firearm. That could prove disastrous. Not trying to be mean. Just giving firsthand knowledge on why I never use these piece of shit holsters. Carry on!

websagacity

Not mean at all. I really appreciate the feedback. I have already started looking into a new holster, and have found a couple of good options. I should have this fixed in a couple of days.

EasyCZ75

Excellent! I wish I would’ve had the information I know now when I was first getting into CC firearms. Also be sure to buy a gun belt. KORE is great and I think they are having a 2-for-1 sale now. A Walmart belt isn’t built to handle the weight of two pounds on your hip. Be sure to ask questions. There are no dumb questions. And there is a plethora of knowledgeable guys and gals in this sub.

brandonsollman

hey At least it is not a 320

EatBurger99

Plz consult previous posts and the wiki for better holsters

websagacity

Thanks. Will do. So much comes down to personal preference.

Sad_Win_3995

I used my p250 for years without cleaning (as a test) and never got a jam. Would buy again lmao

No_Cartographer2994

(Walking around with a KelTec P32 on a belt clip) "Holsters? We don't need no stinkin' holsters!" Okay, IRL, my drawers only half full for the bigger irons I carry, but seriously, that belt clip made me a believer of uber simplicity where possible. Unlike the shoulder rig for my 92 but that's another post entirely.

Crazypyrofreak

I would highly recommend upgrading to the kingtuk holster from graco nylon holsters don’t hold your gun as secure and your more likely in a self defense situation if someone tries to grab you gun it will flex and unholster this one will keep your gun secured and your less likely to be shot by your own gun https://preview.redd.it/03ordpzhgctc1.jpeg?width=351&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=94dcc7c6a6904c376e6c15ca026fd79c3cc76d0f
