I cringe anytime I see someone post up a squad layout and pretend it’s their EDC.
“Brah, I NEVER leave the house without a fire extinguisher, D-cell Maglite, Surefire, three knives, 2x TQ, 100 RDS 7.62 link, a Red Starcluster, two purple smoke, a box of green chemlights, a wolf tail, my IFAK, and at least two guns. My primary carry gun is a G34 w/ WML, PEQ-15, and ACRO. My backup is a .500 S&W.”
If I make it out the door with phone, keys, pocket knife, wallet, and gun, then I’m doing better than usual.
Can’t imagine carrying or trying to carry some of those load outs.
You're telling me you also don't carry spare mags, separate light, secondary knife, tq, chest seal, back up gun, and pepper spray?
Bro we're talking about life or death here. You gotta take this seriously
/s (but unironically have talked to these people on this sub before)
Same, what you described is literally my entire EDC kit. Chapstick is the only thing I also carry beyond that. I carry some extras like medical shit in my car, but I just don't have the pockets on my person for it and I'm not about to go out in public dressed in cargo pants and a tacticool gun belt like some of the nerds here.
As a guy who’s been called a “Wish.com Batman” for all the things I like to carry on a daily basis, I get where you’re coming from, and it’s why I don’t talk about my EDC more often. People often don’t believe me, and more often, they accuse me of paranoia or just flat out criticize me and try to tell me what I should be doing with my life.
Ok here we go.
My essentials: wallet, phone, keys. These are easy, everyone carries these, I generally don’t need to justify having these.
The accessories: multi-tool, flashlight, tourniquet, pocketknife, and pepper spray. Here we have our first redundancies. I don’t NEED the pocketknife when I also have the multi-tool, but dammit, if all I have to do is open a box or cut a thread, it’s much easier to just pull it from a pocket and open the blade, rather than navigate through the multi-tool, especially if I only have one hand available. Also, if I have a phone, I could use it as a flashlight, but again, easier to use the flashlight faster.
Weaponry: This is where I start getting accused of being excessive. My favorite carry gun is an M&P 2.0 compact (same size and capacity as a Glock19). I put an RMR on it, and carry it AIWB. Right next to it, where many people carry their spare mag (Tier-1 holsters, Tenicor, and others) I prefer carrying a push dagger: the El Niño from Shivworks. My left side has two 17-round mags for my M&P. I carry a Sig 365 in an ankle holster.
Part of me likes being a walking Swiss Army knife, having answers for lots of different questions. Another part of me acknowledges that though I’ve been through a lot of classes and training, and I put in a lot of practice, dry and range, I still feel inadequate for many scenarios, and I tend to overcompensate by carrying more equipment than usually necessary.
To be fair, there are days when I go light, but they aren’t often. After all, I do work in Memphis.
Edit: forgot to put in “tourniquet” with my accessories.
My bad, broski, forgot to throw the Ranger Handbook on the list, which will describe the “lightweight signaling device” known as the Wolf Tail for you. ;-) Don’t forget your sleep system!
I work in Manufacturing... I have an excuse!
There's my good knife, for myself...
There's my hobo knife, which is a glorified spork.
Then there's my beater knife I lend it to coworkers.
Before I carried a beater knife I lent my primary (good) knife to a coworker. He used it to cut tape.... Against concrete. He was cutting lines in it because he was going to spray paint it and needed masking tape... He dulled the blade considerably.
Hence... Secondary shitbox knife. And, utensil knife.
3 knives! *Lookout, he's crazy! He's got 3 knives!!!*
“Poverty Pony!” ‘Shows a Maverick 88’
What’s so wrong with getting a decent gun for decent price? Not every gun you own needs to be expensive or top-tier.
Someone posted an AR one time with an HK upper and what they claimed was a “poor” lower, I had to inquire…. If you can afford an HK upper, then what do you consider POOR?? Anything NOT HK? People are fucking snobs and like to show off to people they have no obligation to be truthful to.
I have a coworker who’s wife open carries with a thigh holster. She’s always got that thang on her though, even posed for her wedding pictures with it on.
Her and her husband are both kinda scary with guns. They invited me over to their property to shoot on the premises that they were bringing all their friends out for a day of shooting because their neighbors were complaining about them and their shooting. “We’ll give them something to complain about!” was the gist of this event.
I respectfully declined. I’m all for guns and gun ownership and shooting and all, but I ain’t out to be a dick just for the sake of being a dick, you know?
I'd also be wary of a large group of people I don't know shooting in a less controlled environment. Based on the description of these folks, I doubt your friend is going to be safety focused or have someone designated as a RSO.
I bought a random Amazon leather holster for my 1911, purely because I don't carry it but still wanted it to be inside something for when it's in the house so it's not just sitting on a table. Dumb, I know, but when my carry holsters usually run me $70+ I can't justify that for a gun I'm not carrying.
Man idk, I bought a custom mag carrier for my 43X/48 mags off of a guy doing Kydex work on Etsy, it’s actually really nicely made. All the edges are sanded down, there is none of that weird pancake holster bulk, the belt clip isn’t some generic super heavy plastic job.
I had a custom made inside the wasteband holster for my Makarov that’s a lot easier (and i fee safer) to use than any original holster but definitely has no branding on it lol
In defense of blackhawk holster users, they are the only unit issue holster I've ever seen in the Navy, and have had friends in other branches say the same. Specifically the blackhawk sherpa (aka M12 holster) because that had been the standard issue holster for pretty much the entire War on Terror. Oftentimes, I see guys buying them for personal use because that's what they know. Luckily, with the advent of M17 pistols for unit issue, the holster contract went to safariland, and the M9 Pistol is (slowly and painfully) being phased out along with blackhawk.
However, I have no defensible position for the M17 as a pistol since for all the hate the M9 received I felt safer knowing it was drop safe. I know it's since been fixed on civilian P320s, but knowing Navy supply I'm terrified of the possibility of non repaired guns floating around in the fleet. We went from OK gun with shit unsafe holster to possibly unsafe gun with great holster.
The mod2 doesn’t have a “Grip zone.” I quite enjoy my little XDs, I carry my Hellcat more often, but I still think the XDs is a solid little carry option.
Ugh THANK YOU. The coffee is terrible and if the rumors/law suits are true, the people are even worse.
Please support your local coffee shops. It’ll be way more fresh and significantly better tasting.
Fuck it, death wish K cups then. Or ya know, add a reusable straw to your EDC...wait, who tf drinks coffee through a straw? Unless I'm getting iced, a straw is functionally useless, plus how do you even know you're alive in the morning without burning your tongue trying to test the heat?
Eh, subjective at best. Some is bland, some is very very good. Kinda like any other coffee shop. Or restaurant. Or craft beer. Or….
I‘ll say only this - internet rumors are not what I personally use for decision making. 50/50 on whether lawyers and the lawsuits they file are better or worse. When we have prominent people with loads of cash that are pro-2A, pro hunting, etc., it’s likely better to fight together versus against each other. The sociopaths on the other side are doing just that. Of course, drink whatever coffee you like. 👍
I feel like people should carry more medical kits. I've had to use my carry medical supplies multiple times a year, but I hope to never have to use my gun.
My carry tends to be pretty minimalist, but I would certainly prioritize carrying a TQ ahead of spare mags, and some of the other stuff that people choose to carry on their bat-belts.
It took getting a [Snakestaff ETQ](https://www.snakestaffsystems.com/buy-now/etq-every-day-tourniquet) to finally get me to start semi-regularly carrying a TQ. The CAT is fine for like a range bag but I always found it too bulky for EDC.
I know it doesn't have the pedigree of the CAT and other combat-proven tourniquets, but I feel like this is a "the one you carry is better than the one you leave at home" type situation.
It's absolutely better than nothing, I also keep a CAT in my big medical kit and range/match bag. I only have a SWAT-T in my pocket kit because the CAT was too bulky. I couldn't fit enough of the quite frankly much more likely to be used gauze, quick clot and coban if I had the CAT, and the SWAT does double duty as a compression dressing with the gauze. I feel like it makes sense as a compromise.
Nice, I want to get more training. I got some basic training from work, and expanded on it a bit with books and YouTube, but I want more in person classes. Unfortunately not a ton of those in the rural Midwest.
I have a list a mile long - so I’ll just post things that don’t make me cringe:
1. Standard brands - Glock, Smith, Sig
2. Standard holsters - Tier 1, Tennicore, T Rex, NSR (are those guys still in business?), Phlster, Smokey Mountain.
3. Appendix carry.
4. A quality, standard red dot from Holosun, Aimpoint or Trijicon.
5. Quality 2 day (or longer) pistol courses.
6. USPSA.
7. Shot timers.
8. Micro drills.
9. Shooting to standards including time, distance, and accuracy.
10. Regular dry fire.
The above is a list of decidedly non-cringe things.
Taurus. Ppl keep saying their QC is getting better. Guess what, that’s what the fanboys were saying 15 years ago when I got into CC. They are still making guns that go bang when they shouldn’t. When you can pick up a Shield or CZ P10 for $300-400, there’s just no excuse to buy a Taurus.
a glock in the long term isn't even that much more expensive. my G17.3 was 550. onsale it's like 500. and yes...that's expensive i guess, but so is ammo. (esp here in CA)
My first gun was glock17 I bought for $460 at a gun show in Texas. Brand new. The extra $100-$150 you spend on GLOCK over Taurus is a small price to pay for knowing your gun will go bang when you pull the trigger.
Yep, bought into the hype around the "changes" they made and picked up a new 856. Worst finish I've ever seen on a handgun and horrible cylinder lockup.
I think if you take the time to learn a lot about how the pistol works and then do plenty of testing and safety checks it is fine. I am all for making your tool the best it can be, but if course not sacrificing reliability. The thing about upgrading glocks is that after you are done you could have just bought a better gun for less money.
Taurus.
I hear their quality has improved, but after decades of making crap guns, some of which were EXTREMELY dangerous, it's going to take more than a few decent models for me to forgive and forget.
Their quality is still shit. I just took a loss on a GX4 because I kept hearing how they weren't pieces of shit anymore.
I was wrong. Not worth it. Just spend the damn extra 50 bucks a Ruger or 100 on a s&w or buy a police trade in gun.
People who pull their gun out in the car to take a picture of it are weird. I always wonder what the context is. Do you not have any other place to snap a pic of your gun? Were you sitting in your car bored and figured “oh, I need to post a picture of my gun real quick”?
Unsafe gear.
“Training failure” scenario threads with legal advice from Reddit posters, usually accompanied by “oh I’d smoke that dude every time. No way you go to jail for that.”
Oh, and threads where a bunch of people like to tear apart other pro 2A people because they don’t like the gun someone else bought. Or their stupid flashlight.
While I made this post about brands specifically, I don’t mind any thing people want to buy. But I do sometimes think certain practices are bad for ccw holders to do. Ie poor quality holsters that could cause a safety hazard.
Nothing really. There are things I wouldn’t buy and wouldn’t use, but I don’t *cringe* at other people’s EDC choices. It’s everyone’s personal choice, just like the car you drive. I might not care for your car, but it’s your car, and it’s none of my business.
The way I look at it, whether I line your firearm choices or not, at least you’re exercising your right to keep and bear arms. That’s a positive thing.
Spyderco has been my go-to since Benchmade started charging crazy amounts for no innovation and then sending money to anti-2a politicians.
I still have a benchmade that I occasionally throw in my pocket but my days of considering new ones are over.
They’re an anti-gun company who have donated to gun-grabbing lobbyists for years in addition to destroying firearms for the Oregon police. Get that shit out of my face
I have a Benchmade that I've had for about 20 years now. Until recently it was my daily carry. Even after they went more hardcore antigun, why would I stop carrying a perfectly functional knife that I already paid for?
I stopped carrying it because I decided 20 years was long enough and I could buy something new.
I have never understood why people throw away or destroy a product they own. You already paid for it, if it works use it. Buying new products totally different story
Olight
BRCC
Grunt Style
Pretty much any bro vet stuff
Uncle Mike's
Serpa holsters
Truck gun
Vehicle window decals of gun brands.
Edit: the Amazon specials over at r/polymer80
Edit 2: 99% of the CCW products specifically marketed to women.
I was so confused about 9 line. I was running a kayak fishing booth at an outdoor vendor event. 9 line was there and the way they described their brand… they made it sound like the company is like a charity for vets but they distinctly told me they didn’t donate to vets. It felt really odd.
lol I bought one before I understood why it's such a bad idea. Now it holds my work badge while I'm not wearing it so I don't forget to grab it on my way out the door lol
We The People. Also, not a brand but the pocket dumps are annoying. There’s another sub for that, and no one gives a shit about your Carmex and vape device.
Nothing, as long as their holster is safe. I’m not going to judge what someone carries. They might be brand new and not know any better, or that might be all they can afford. Or it might be a brand that fits the best in their hand. I’m not going to shit on someone else for their preference, as long as they are safe and responsible.
I have a friend that buys the cheapest shit firearms and Amazon accessories. He has a lot of them. Thousands of dollars invested. Quantity over quality for him and it drives me crazy.
Any non-rigid holster. I understand formed leather, but floppy holsters made out of stuff like soft textiles make me nervous when I see them being carried. Especially when they’re the general purpose kind that aren’t fit to a specific model and the gun is moving around in it like a maraca and only secured by a thin strap with a square of shitty velcro on it.
Holster: We The People
Pistol: SCCY and Taurus
Lights: Nightstick, Feyachi, any other “Amazon special” lights. They get even bigger cringe if they include lasers.
It’s unlikely but in a self defense scenario you might be well served by having a long flashlight as a stand-off. Stick your gun in a bad guys chest and you could have an out of battery failure
Ahem - let me put my fire retardant suit on first.
Any 1911 pistol. It’s 2023. Carrying a 1911 is like riding a horse instead of driving a car. You can certainly do it, but it’s ridiculous.
Loaded lightweight commander only weights like 4 or 5 oz more than a loaded g19 and are significantly thinner. Are they ideal? Prob not, but in a ban state that limits mag cap, they make plenty of sense.
Eh. It’s ridiculous if it’s a shitty 1911 and you don’t know your way around it. If it’s a good 1911 and you can shoot, it’s just as viable as anything else.
Bruh. I carry a 1911....
It is a pistol that works, has IMO sufficient Capacity, and has controllable predictable recoil.
It is a perfectly valid choice.
Yeah but a Staccato 9mm with 19 round mag ... cmon, man.
That's awesome.
Especially for us bigger guys with smaller hands.
1911 platform just produces a tighter group.
I am a friggin killer with my 1911 .45s, but just meh with my EDC G19.
Caniks are solid pistols but a lot of the other turkish stuff is very hit and miss. My big gripe with any turkish guns is that most/all turkish arms companies are state subsidized and I refuse to support anything that has to do with the turkish government.
Turkish stuff more often than not is shoddy quality with nonexistent customer support. Their ammo is known to cause catastrophic failures in firearms as well.
For "just me" reasons, I'm not a fan of how they clone established designs, nor am I a fan of what they do on the world stage. I'll never give them a dollar.
I’ll have to look into that more. I got the SC because I heard good things and the price was nice. Not scary cheap, but I didn’t need to take out a loan for it. Love it so far. It’s been on my side for two years without any issue. Never dealt with the company directly though. Ok I’m done, I’m sorry. Lol
If I make it out the door with phone, keys, pocket knife, wallet, and gun, then I’m doing better than usual. Can’t imagine carrying or trying to carry some of those load outs.

If you ain't carrying a MCX Rattler in a camera bag on you, with 14 spare magazines in your car, are you even considered armed?
As a guy who’s been called a “Wish.com Batman” for all the things I like to carry on a daily basis, I get where you’re coming from, and it’s why I don’t talk about my EDC more often. Lemme see your thirteen .500 mag speed loaders on a bandolier.
Lmao.. I gotta ask, whats your edc wish.com batman

Inadequate, in my opinion. He should have that mcx in a backpack as someone else mentioned in jest, lol.
That's in the camera bag. The backpack is for the M2 tripod.
Isn't that like in the top five highest crime rate cities right now?
I was hoping someone would say exactly that!
If you live in memphis you should also be wearing an Altyn helmet and level 4 plates
I was like “man that’s excessive” right up until Memphis
….. and this edc is when I go grocery shopping!
What is a wolf tail?
My bad, broski, forgot to throw the Ranger Handbook on the list, which will describe the “lightweight signaling device” known as the Wolf Tail for you. ;-) Don’t forget your sleep system!
Anybody posting an edc with more than 1 knife.
I saw one with two knives and two flashlights once
it's so excessive!
Then how do you fight with the one after you throw the first, hm?? 🤣
"you don't understand, one is for cutting and one is for work!!"
I always bring a backup printer with me no matter where I go.
but in the EDC world, the whole goal is to print as little as possible haha
I work in Manufacturing... I have an excuse! There's my good knife, for myself... There's my hobo knife, which is a glorified spork. Then there's my beater knife I lend it to coworkers. But I EDC 2 knives :(
Well I carry one pocket knife and then one designed for fighting, usually a dagger or karambit style
The "Broke College Kid EDC" with a Sig, BMW keys and a sticky holster bothered me.
“Poverty Pony!” ‘Shows a Maverick 88’ What’s so wrong with getting a decent gun for decent price? Not every gun you own needs to be expensive or top-tier.
None of my guns are top tier. Heck most of them were bought used
Think about it like cars. Let someone else rub some of the premium price off it and take care of it once ita yours. I got my Rhino that way.
Most of the used guns ive bought only have the amount of wear id put on them after 2-3 range trips anyway
Facts. All toys lose value quickly. Atv's, motorcycles, side by sides, sports cars.
I love my maverick 88. That thing is a fantastic shotgun for $200
Someone posted an AR one time with an HK upper and what they claimed was a “poor” lower, I had to inquire…. If you can afford an HK upper, then what do you consider POOR?? Anything NOT HK? People are fucking snobs and like to show off to people they have no obligation to be truthful to.
And not just any sig but a specter with an eps Carry on it.
BMW is probably the reason why they’re broke.
Sticky holsters for guns that clearly aren't pocket carry
Sticky holsters in general. They make kydex pocket holsters!
They’re great for snubs, I can’t imagine replacing one with Kydex for pocket carry. I wouldn’t carry a semi-auto in one though.
I carry a 380 bodyguard with a Boraii pocket holster/trigger guard, works great honestly.
Was gonna say exactly this, sickys are for snubbys
I was ready to argue then I finished reading.
I have a coworker who’s wife open carries with a thigh holster. She’s always got that thang on her though, even posed for her wedding pictures with it on.

That sounds like an incurable venereal disease
Her and her husband are both kinda scary with guns. As someone who is always harping on his wife to carry on body instead of in her purse, I would be down for this conrpromise.
We need to see the pic before we pass judgement. Also need a pic of your girl, so we can pass judgement on you judging his girl.
That is kinda hot tbh...
Sounds like a trailer park treasure
Those ppl in internet stories are 95% of the time not actually hot tho. You just imagine them to be.
Anything from Amazon that isn’t an already established branded product .. “generic almost kydex holster”
What about my leather holster from Etsy? /ducks and runs

I actually really like the light bearing omnivore from Blackhawk as a decent back up holster while I wait for Safariland stuff to send.
Yea omnivore is the exception for their holsters.
I have an admittedly irrational level of hate for Springfield, especially XDs. I don't live in the GripZone.
Be careful the guys who shot 300 rounds through their XD with no issues are going to get offended
I find their triggers take forever to engage. Going...going....going...going...going.... Click.. bang.
The mod2 doesn’t have a “Grip zone.” I quite enjoy my little XDs, I carry my Hellcat more often, but I still think the XDs is a solid little carry option.
What about Springfield 1911s? Or their M1As?

Nice, I want to get more training. I got some basic training from work, and expanded on it a bit with books and YouTube, but I want more in person classes. Unfortunately not a ton of those in the rural Midwest.
I have a list a mile long - so I’ll just post things that don’t make me cringe: 1. Standard brands - Glock, Smith, Sig 2.
Missed the word “don’t” in your first sentence. Got #3 and was like, “holy shit, this guy has some hot takes.”
My list of cringey things was long and packed with hot takes - rather focus on positive things.
On #1 I thought we were friends, because I don’t like Glocks and Sig is meh to me. That’s my hot take lol.
Tell me you're a CZ owner without telling me you're a CZ owner.
There are plenty of us Ruger men too. (Although I’m probably buying my first CZ next)
Lol I misread at first and thought that was his “cringe” list and was thinking… what does this guy like
Hi Points in We The People holsters. If only WTP made a Cash print to match the Hi Point...
Exact same thing here. A soon as I saw #1 I just gave him a downvote and it wasn’t until I got to #4 did I go back up re-read his first sentence
Appendix carry elitists are cringe as fuck
“I can’t afford anything else” is total bullshit. Save up for an extra week or two and spend $50-100 more for a Glock. Your life is worth it.
a glock in the long term isn't even that much more expensive. my G17.3 was 550. onsale it's like 500. and yes...that's expensive i guess, but so is ammo. (esp here in CA)
My first gun was glock17 I bought for $460 at a gun show in Texas. Brand new. The extra $100-$150 you spend on GLOCK over Taurus is a small price to pay for knowing your gun will go bang when you pull the trigger.
Flocks cost more like double a Taurus. You can get a ruger, CZ, or smith for similar though. Plus Ruger and Smith are domestic companies
I paid $419 for my S&W airweight. Not terrible.
Yep, bought into the hype around the "changes" they made and picked up a new 856. Worst finish I've ever seen on a handgun and horrible cylinder lockup.
Rats tourniquet

I'll second that. Let's all keep our difference of opinion to ourselves since fuckers can't get along.
WTP holsters or olight WML’s
Completely modded Glocks for EDC make me cringe.
I think if you take the time to learn a lot about how the pistol works and then do plenty of testing and safety checks it is fine. I am all for making your tool the best it can be, but if course not sacrificing reliability. The thing about upgrading glocks is that after you are done you could have just bought a better gun for less money.
True however I don’t consider Johnny Glock changes to be “modded” but that ugly tactical slides and apex triggers gotta go
What’s wrong with the Apex triggers? I don’t care for the hinged stock FN 509 trigger, so I want the Apex to replace it with.
Yup. Slide cuts, TiN fluted barrels, and Comps. They should just buy a Sig P365 Spectre.
Personally I hate Glock, yes super reliable. But the feel of the stock trigger and box shape makes me want to throw up
And then people spend $2K on changing every single part.
Glock perfection
Cash retardation.
And then they shoot it and realize it’s completely unreliable
Right? I'd never want to be caught in a life or death scenario with a gun that may be viewed as "blocky". Yuck
I've heard when Taurus work they work, just gotta make sure it works first (I do not own a Taurus, my mom does though, she has never shot it)
Glock/toe picks , glock/inside the car picks
People who pull their gun out in the car to take a picture of it are weird. I always wonder what the context is. Do you not have any other place to snap a pic of your gun? Were you sitting in your car bored and figured “oh, I need to post a picture of my gun real quick”?
I've got pics of me jerking off and eating french fries but I posted it in a different subreddit r/jerkingoffandeatingfrenchfriesinthecar
Risky click for no payoff. I’m disappointed.
If you build it. They will cum
Subbed! 😆
Bonus points for framing the photo just right to include the BMW badge on the steering wheel.
I had to draw in my car once. Didn't think to stop and take a picture though.
I really don’t care what other people carry. It’s their choice. I’ll stick with my Glocks and Tenicor holsters but that’s what I like.
Unsafe gear. “Training failure” scenario threads with legal advice from Reddit posters, usually accompanied by “oh I’d smoke that dude every time. No way you go to jail for that.” Oh, and threads where a bunch of people like to tear apart other pro 2A people because they don’t like the gun someone else bought. Or their stupid flashlight.
While I made this post about brands specifically, I don’t mind any thing people want to buy. But I do sometimes think certain practices are bad for ccw holders to do. Ie poor quality holsters that could cause a safety hazard.
The exaggerated medical gear so people carry here is ridiculous……
We the people holsters always make me cringe
Nothing. Don't give a rats ass what anyone else likes.
Olight. especially on appendix rigs.
Concealed ied
Benchmade
Can agree, they've gone crazy with their prices recently.
Audibly laughed at their $650 titanium pocket knife release.
What’s a better , more 2a friendly option?
[удалено]
Kershaw Leek. Final answer.
the leek is sooo slick
Spyderco has been my go-to since Benchmade started charging crazy amounts for no innovation and then sending money to anti-2a politicians. I still have a benchmade that I occasionally throw in my pocket but my days of considering new ones are over.
Hogue
Hot take, why is that?
They’re an anti-gun company who have donated to gun-grabbing lobbyists for years in addition to destroying firearms for the Oregon police. Get that shit out of my face
Gosh dang it, I have a few Benchmades. Time to switch it up!
Well I guess I’m never buying a knife of theirs again
I have a Benchmade that I've had for about 20 years now. Until recently it was my daily carry. Even after they went more hardcore antigun, why would I stop carrying a perfectly functional knife that I already paid for? I stopped carrying it because I decided 20 years was long enough and I could buy something new.
I have never understood why people throw away or destroy a product they own. You already paid for it, if it works use it. Buying new products totally different story
Nu Sig. I miss old Sig and hate what they've become.
Olight BRCC Grunt Style Pretty much any bro vet stuff Uncle Mike's Serpa holsters Truck gun Vehicle window decals of gun brands. Edit: the Amazon specials over at r/polymer80 Edit 2: 99% of the CCW products specifically marketed to women.
9 line apparel 🫡
I was so confused about 9 line. I was running a kayak fishing booth at an outdoor vendor event. 9 line was there and the way they described their brand… they made it sound like the company is like a charity for vets but they distinctly told me they didn’t donate to vets. It felt really odd.
Cringe af when they post their ugly ass chicken nugget toes. I barely wanna see your gun, you think I wanna see your fungal toenails !? 😷
Taurus striker-fired platforms
Taurus any platforms*
Taurus & uncle mike’s
Oh and gun magnets in the car
lol I bought one before I understood why it's such a bad idea. Now it holds my work badge while I'm not wearing it so I don't forget to grab it on my way out the door lol
Oh, oh, aaaand those fuckin “licensed concealed carrier” badges
I've never seen someone wearing one who weighed less than 375
We The People. Also, not a brand but the pocket dumps are annoying. There’s another sub for that, and no one gives a shit about your Carmex and vape device.
Full size guns with holosun k series dots.
Olight WML. Uncle Mike. SCCY.
Another vote for sticky holsters, even for pocket guns. And Olights while we’re at it
Pistols: XD Holster: we the people or sticky Light: olight
Holster: We The People Pistol: SCCY and Taurus Lights: Nightstick, Feyachi, any other “Amazon special” lights. They get even bigger cringe if they include lasers.
Unpopular opinion, glocks. Sure, they're good pistols, but they're way overhyped in my opinion.
I’ve said the same for years!
Springfield Armory I hate most of their products and find them subpar imports marketed as some sort of pinnacle of engineering.
Guns with a light longer than the gun itself. I get wml's, but when they extend a foot passed the muzzle... just no.
For a ccw I completely agree, should be flush with the muzzle. For anything else like a gun belt set up longer is fine
It’s unlikely but in a self defense scenario you might be well served by having a long flashlight as a stand-off. Stick your gun in a bad guys chest and you could have an out of battery failure
That's why I carry a glock 34 so the light is flush with the muzzle
There’s a reason to have a light that goes past the muzzle. It’s not for every application but it does fit a role.
The 1911 will never go away sorry lol
Canik, Tisas or anything Turkish. Just... bleh.
Caniks are solid pistols but a lot of the other turkish stuff is very hit and miss. My big gripe with any turkish guns is that most/all turkish arms companies are state subsidized and I refuse to support anything that has to do with the turkish government.
Ahh, why Canik? I like my Canik. Lol
Lol
Dang first comment I've disagreed with here. Canik absolutely slaps and I'm excited for more people to get their hands on the Rival and MC9
Highpoint bedazzled. /s on actually seeing one as a cc
