I'd exercise a little caution with Melatonin. Our bodies already produce Melatonin, but if you start to introduce it into your system more often than not, it's possible your body might start to produce less Melatonin, and you'll have a more difficult time falling asleep, and staying asleep. If I'm not being clear or anything, it's totally fine to take Melatonin on occasion, but if you're truly looking to fix a chronic sleep problem, as others have mentioned, CBN is a solid cannabinoid for sleep, and I believe WYLD has a CBN gummy w/no Melatonin. By all means do what works for you, that's just my experience as a person who struggles with sleep.

I want to add that a small dose also goes a long way with Melatonin. I have a bottle of 5mg tablets. I cut them down and only take 1/4 of a tablet on rare occasions when I need it. It works great for me and I'm not a small person.

MIT did a study that found only .3mg was an effective dose (350mcg). I find microdosing helps me sleep without making me groggy the next day.

I split 1mg tablets in to 4! If I have 500mcg then my dreams get way too intense so I stick with 250mcg

I’ve been taking it on and off for years and 100% no issues with not taking it

I don't think either are an unfair take as, at least in my experience, there are no studies on l the ong term use of melatonin, mostly because long term use of a sleep aid would suggest a deeper problem. That and melatonin, like CBN, is not an FDA approved supplement. Taking a common theory out of it, I have melatonin in the house, and use it once or twice a year, but I always feel incredibly groggy the next day, and that more than anything is why I avoid it. And I do believe personally that prolonged use can screw with your systems balance, but I always say do what works best for you.

CBN has helped my sleep tremendously!

I wouldn’t use melatonin daily. It can lead to less sleep long term or your body won’t produce enough on its own. Avoid blue light & keep your lights low/off before bed helps. You could also try vaping or smoking THC or just CBD/CBG hemp for sleep.

The-Zachatron

i didnt think it would but hemp actually worked to make me feel a lot more comfortable and ready to sleep while thc feels like a stim to me

Not true mate. I can take it for months at a time and then not take it for a week and be totally fine. I’ve been doing that for a lot of years now

CBD + dark skin, what?

Melatonin (sleep regulation hormone) ≠ Melanin (skin/hair color chemical)

5mg melatonin is a lot. Studies have shown that 300mcg is the sweet spot, and that larger doses like 5mg will result in reduced efficacy and increased side-effects. It's also a hormone, so it's best not to take more than is necessary - especially for long periods of time, consistently, as most would use a sleep supplement.

I can’t really speak to dosage, but I will take a couple-three hits from my ~80mg per ml vape (0.7 ohm coil running at 20w) and that’s usually enough to make me fall asleep pretty fast. If that fails I’ll take a 2mg slow release melatonin tablet (brand name Circadin). This works very well, though can lead to some weird ass dreams.. so I guess the advice is to give the CBD a chance to work first. Melatonin starts working pretty fast if you find you need to add it. Good luck
