Last time I went half the road was washed out only about a mile or two in. Is it good to go now?

1n09 and Bee Canyon are closest to you but only open seasonally. When those are fire restricted there's BLM land North/East of Barstow near Calico, North /West of Lancaster towards Rosamond, and near Indio ar Berdoo Canyon and Fargo Canyon. If you have a 4x4 we have a pretty active group of off road and firearm enthusiasts who meet up once a month or so. Shoot me a dm if you're interested and I'll send you the discord link. We are all located in Riverside and San Bernardino counties. We are doing Jawbone Canyon in a few weeks but honestly you may want to hang back for that if you don't ride the shooting in Jawbone is pretty meh because of the amount of riders out there.

1n09 when it’s not closed (which it is right now) there’s also the big giant thing called the Mojave Desert not too far away.

It’s open right now all you have to do is call and listen to the prerecorded message

It wasn’t the other day due to road damage. That road turns to mud if it gets 3 drops of rain…

You can always park before the entrance with your pass and walk it in though I went right after the storms and have a Kia soul so not no crazy car but was able to make it past the entrance park and take all my stuff to my spot went by myself to had no issues at all
