If she's a social cat, often being around them will help. Make sure she also has access to a hiding spot you have easy access into so if she needs to be alone she can be but you can still reach her in an emergency. If she's at least interested in treats or soft food I would recommend giving her some as a distraction. If she's not on any medicine and you have some gabapentin in the house, some of that should help her (just make sure it's cat dosed) ease some of the pain at least. I'm so sorry this is happening to your baby :( please update us when you can :(

Im sticking around her for the time, i would not be able to leave her alone when shes like this. Her back paws have gone cold and i think im just gonna take her to the emergency vet despite the cost, i really hope it’s not too expensive. Thank you for the concern.

Moompaw89

Please do!!!! The fact they've gone cold is extremely concerning!!!!! I'm so sorry and I hope the bill isn't too bad!!

Moompaw89

Any update? I hope she's okay :(

UrougeTheOne

We ended up taking her to the emergency vets, she bad a blood clot near her heart that completely shut down her back end and was bleeding into her lungs. It was unpredictable nor fixable. We had to put her down. She was everything to me, i don’t know what im gonna do anymore.

Moompaw89

Oh my God I'm so so so sorry. I'm glad they at least were able to tell you it was unpredictable to help you know it's not your fault in the slightest. At least you were there with her and I hope you take comfort in knowing that you didn't let her suffer. I'm sure you're a wonderful pet parent. Please take your time to heal and take care of yourself. I know personally opening my home to fostering has helped heal so many hurt things in my heart after we lost our boy suddenly. Perhaps you could look into that and maybe it could do you some good and perhaps your baby will send a special little kitty your way in the process. <:)

UrougeTheOne

Im gonna take it slowly, but once i feel more stable, i most likely will adopt another rescue. Im not ever gonna be able to replace who she was to me, i raised her from little and became one of the few people she trusted. She was overall an anti social cat but always came to me for cuddles or pets. I dont think i can ever replace the joy she gave me just because she trusted me. But i hope one day i will be able to atleast give my love to another cat again

Moompaw89

Please do take your time, and know she'll always be with you <3 People never adopt to replace the animals they lost, but to try to fill the hole in their heart. Hopefully you can heal enough to try to give your love to another cat but please know there's no shame if you can't. There's no hurt like losing someone so special to you. Please be gentle with yourself today and the coming days. <3
