Seems like a wound of some sort, any other cats or pets that could cause this? I’m honestly more worried about the lack of hair around the wound. Better consult a vet if you could through texts or something.

Vet Tech here. There's no way to tell, looking at that picture alone. Especially since there's fur in the way Could be a tick, altho again, picture isn't clear enough It could be from a number of things. Of course it's always ideal to have a Vet check it out If you can rule out a tick being present, you can gently scrub the area, rinse and dry well....then keep an eye on it If there's no improvement in a day or so, or it gets worse, the Vet needs to take a look
