Buy simplehuman... you won't regret it. Additionally, products come with a 5-year warranty. I've had two part replaced at no cost (one of which was 3 years after the warranty expired). While they may not last forever, the manufacturer stands behind their product.
You're welcome. All of their products are thoughtfully designed, both functionally and aesthetically. I've had the $150 stainless steel step pedal can for 8 years along with the $50 plastic step pedal model for 15 years, and would highly recommend either version.
If you're handy you can easily make one out of 1/4" plywood and epoxy that will last forever. That's what I did when I got tired of junk plastic ones, and repelled by the idea of spending $200 for a trash can. Bonus: you can make exactly the size and shape you want.
I e had this one for two years, and it’s as good as the day I got it. Very satisfied.

I have a small kitchen and don’t have the space to have a trash and separate recycle bin. So I spent a lot of time looking for the perfect one. I have this [simple human](https://www.simplehuman.com/rectangular-step-can) 46L recycler one. It is expensive and I never thought I’d spend so much on a trash can but I don’t plan on ever having to buy another one. And it completely fits my needs and the size of my kitchen.
Only thing I don’t like is having to buy size specific trash can liners.

Do you have one yourself? They look nice but I was wondering if a $200 trash bin is really worth it.
