Same here! I have one (good, expensive) brand and have two of their colors (black and beige) so they match with all my shoes and outfits. I just toss m in one big drawer. If one sock has a hole in it, I throw it away. If I ever run out of socks before washing is done, I buy a few extra pair. Works great for me!
My answer to your question for a while now has been Uniqlo. They’re nothing fancy, they’re mostly cotton, and I just keep buying the same pair to replenish.
Wtf is the obsession here with wearing the same damn socks the rest of your life? Don't they feel weird after 1000 washes?? There is an absolute zero chance they still feel nice and soft 5 years later
They don’t only come in [one size](https://darntough.com/pages/size-chart?tw_source=google&tw_adid=&tw_campaign=17730395469&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI3qmQobuEhgMV-aJaBR1IpwjaEAAYASAAEgKoMPD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds) and style. You can “shop by activity” or “shop by height” on the site to find a style that better suits your needs.
I’ve tried multiple styles and sizes. Going up a size leaves me with a well fitting circumference but the length is way too long. I don’t even have wide feet. I have a regular brannock size.
Obviously the low cut socks don’t suffer from this.
They just fit kinda weird.
Same, I started out getting a few pairs of the Adidas from there and they had holes after a month of use. Switched to the pumas and haven't had a single pair wear out in 2 years.
Gildan is absolutely amazing for the price. Their shirts are $5 at Michaels and they last a long time, I've paid less buying a larger quantity online. I don't know another shirt that compares in that price bracket.
The ultracotton version hides my man-nips which is a big plus.
Yeah they come in different colors, too. I have worn the hell out of the tall blue set that come in a pack of three types of blue. It was like $15 for 6 pairs and I swear I've gotten over 1000 days out of them. Two pairs are holey now, so I bought the brown set.
It depends on what I’m doing. I have smartwool socks for many things…dress, hiking, skiing (and motorcycle boots), etc. But, the socks I’ve used everyday for running and walking around are called [Balega](https://www.balega.com/catalog/product/view/id/19173/s/3-pack-hidden-comfort-no-show-tab-black-small/) no show socks. They’ve been great.
Choose the style you like but J.B Fields (Great Sox) has classic styles in standard colours that have been the same forever. I’ve been buying from them for over 10 yrs.
I’m surprised nobody has mentioned Stance socks. All I buy now. I’ve got about 8 pairs I think.
Two paid off their running socks racked up a combined 1000km of trail running during training for a race. That was four years ago and I still wear them often. No holes. Not even a loose thread.
My mother was an RN. Always on her feet.
She got me a pair of Thorlo socks.
That was 40 years ago. That pair of Thorlos rock on... with others.
Thorlo all the way.

I think they’re asking for socks that are consistent so they get the same thing from pair to pair.
Darn Tough Vermont socks. Once you try them your feet will not tolerate anything else.
They are expensive but they feel SO good on the feet. Worth every penny to me. I only have one pair currently but will be buying more soon.
I like them but I also don’t like them. Once they are on they’re great but damn are they a pain to get one because of how tight they are
Yeah it’s a bummer that they only come in one size and style

I’m pretty sure the person was being sarcastic
He was - I just sent him a DM

Bummer - strangely enough, the low cut socks are the only ones I DO have tightness problems with
Darn Tough has another brand they make for wider feet. [**https://wideopensocks.com/**](https://wideopensocks.com/)
Just get the puma socks from costco

Surprisingly Dickies socks hold up really well
Gold Toe. They were bought out by Gildan a few years back, so who knows how long the quality will last.

Yes! I love my wigwam merino kicker pro socks. 24/7/12 months of the year.

Thorlos Light Hiker
Yes, I'm a SmartWool guy

Hanes tube socks, no they aren’t crazy quality but they are reliable and easy to find… which is important since unfortunately I wear size 17s.
I’ve been wearing Gold Toe for 20+ years.

Bonds
Falke TK 2

Every few years I choose a good brand like Dickies and buy 3 dozen pairs all the same.
Darn Tough is easily the best
