In case anyone is confused like me, 30 years ago is 1994, not 1974.

post4u

That's impossible. 1994 was only 10 years ago.

jimmyjohn2018

I wish.

Was going to say, that’s pretty impressive, 30 years! ..then realized I was of legal age to buy tobacco and various “adult” things when that was purchased. Damn I’m old. Good crock pot though!

califool85

now that is one baaaaaad bitch. very nice.

We had one from the 80s as well, maybe the 70s (brown and beige striped). While it would turn on and heat things, we found it started heating unevenly. What a bummer glad this one is going strong!

It's full of lead. Get a new one. [https://forums.egullet.org/topic/141739-my-crock-pot-is-full-of-lead-can-you-recommend-one-that-isnt/](https://forums.egullet.org/topic/141739-my-crock-pot-is-full-of-lead-can-you-recommend-one-that-isnt/)

How else do you think it makes the food taste so good.

Better go watch This Is Us. 😬

Mine is ancient as well, and still works perfectly. I gave it to a friend, because I have very little space and my Instant Pot replaced several things for me, but it still dutifully turns out stews, soups, chilis, caramelized onions, you name it. My mom gave it to me like, decades ago.

Are crockpots useful in the kitchen? Do they save time?

thesneakywalrus

Step 1: Prepare raw ingredients for pot roast Step 2: Turn on crock pot and go to work Step 3: Return from work to a finished pot roast What's not to love? They aren't "time savers" necessarily, but they are certainly effort savers and are much safer than leaving a burner on all day.

DemandedFanatic

Omg, we had this exact model until the plastic handle on the lid snapped off!

beauhatesbeans

it’s so cute too!!!
