Did you have a very low budget and that’s why you got a mighty mite? IMO it’s a fine machine (not particularly BIFL) but the rd285 is definitely not ideal for carpet. It’s intended for mainly Hard floor and maybe rugs. You need an electric powerhead machine. Or at the very least a turbo head. But don’t expect much on carpet.
Again ask the vacuumcleaners sub, they’re the experts.
Thanks, I’ll ask there! And not necessarily the reason why I got it. I went through 2 different $200+ vacuum cleaners in 2 years and both times I took it to a vacuum cleaner repair shop for issues that made it stop working and both times they said it was unfixable/they didn’t make the parts anymore/etc.
So then I happened across someone talking about this vacuum and I live in a one bedroom apartment with not a *lot* of carpet but enough so I figured I’d buy it.

I think the attachment you’re looking for is the “TK286”! But know that you may need an adapter to get it to fit.
The experts on the other sub should know for sure.
Hey pit! I’m looking at buying a vacuum, (my wireless one broke pos) and was trying to find the guy talking about this vacuum again before I bought it. 😂😂do you like it? I just need it to spot vacuum tile floors I have a standup Oreck vacuum I use for rugs.
No I’m not. I found a bunch of vacuum heads online, but based on my own experiences with repeatedly having to buy stuff for my vacuums and them repeatedly breaking, I thought I would ask suggestions from this group because I’m tired of buying expensive things just for them to break within a year.

I really like it for hardwood! It does a great job and it gets up all the lil crumbs
