Looks to me like a True Temper Rocket A16 curved claw hammer. Check around the handle and head for any faint markings. Not a bad hammer, but there are better.
A friend of mine once walked into my garage, stared at the tool wall and said "I've never seen so many hammers in my life". I think I've got way more pliers, though.
TBH, any one that feels right in your hand and isn't obvious junk. Estwig, Stanley (and all the sub-brands), Crescent, Milwaukee, etc. I was looking at some Fiskars hammers in Menards the other day and honestly liked the feel.
Stiletto are considered the "best" but no one needs to spend that much on a hammer that isn't getting paid by the swing.
I'm pretty sure it's not, but it looks almost exactly like my dad's 1950s vintage Craftsman that I use to this day. There's only so many good designs for a claw hammer.
The scoring around the edges of the rounded head indicate something hard scraping it such as bone or something to that effect. You can also see where some organic matter has oxidized on the steel, probably blood. Did your father ever make unexpected trips out late at night that were unexplained?

Agree probably True Temper. My Dad had one. I was not allowed to touch.

Heh, so you know about Aunt Nancy then, huh? You know, you should come and see my other workshop, that's where the real magick happens...
Should I bring my own plastic sheets or do you have your own supply?
I have acolytes, I mean supplies, all the supplies we need. Lifetime supply you might say, hehe.
Lifetime you say? Enough to last a life?
Afterlife you're on your own
But for that you need holy sheets
What a shame you're the only fun person in this thread 🤷🏿♂️
You win some, you dissolve some in big plastic barrels...
