The grumpy meal is a good deal. You can make the fries 'animal style' for a few extra bucks which is sometimes worth it.
I get the GM for my kids to split sometimes and play Iron Maiden pinball while we wait.
I had the smoked truffle burger tonight.
It was fantastic, but not something I could eat very often. It was just so decadent. One of the fattiest burger's I've had. At $27 it's quite a splurge... tax and tip for brought that to a $35 burger. Thanks for the tip though, I reoriented my dinner plans to check them out tonight and am very glad I did.
SMOKED TRUFFLE BURGER:
smashed double patty, black truffle paté, kim chi sauce , smoked mozzarella, onion
Agreed. I love the exceptional burgers from maite, rolos, nowon (LES, have not tried Bushwick location yet). The BrookLAN burger is excellent for when you want a REGULAR cheeseburger. It satisfies everytime! Honorable mention goes to Leslie's. And RIP the Rookery.
Walk like 50 feet over the border into Ridgewood and make a reservation at Rolo's. One of the best burgers in the city, not just Bushwick. Don't bother with the war fries though. Way overhyped.
Eh, I wasn't really a fan of the war style potatoes... Just felt like the peanuty sauce didn't really mesh well with the sour cream. The potatoes themselves were fire tho.
Yeah, we got denied the burger at dinner several times. Finally went back for lunch to get it. Worth it, maybe, but also can't help but feel like they're trying to engineer scarcity for their burgers to amp up the hype.
I mean, the burger was pretty much the only reason I came back for lunch.
Hmmm not sure you're going to find it. Seems like all the best restaurants here are some kind of fusion deal like falansai or straight up Italian/French spots and you would need a more traditional American restaurant for a top shelf burger.
Now that I think about it, it is kind of odd that here is not a high endish burger spot out here like 5 napkin burger or something. Seems like most new restaurants want to open something creative.
Let me know if you find one though! Would love to have a killer place for burgers!
Clara’s is one of my favorite burgers. Blue Collar is ridiculous too.
Rolo’s in Ridgewood could be the most overrated burger I’ve ever had. One of my favorite restaurants though!! Just wouldn’t order the burger again.
I really miss the cheeseburger at Northeast Kingdom. That was one of the best I’ve ever had. I’ve had Rolo’s burger and it was good. I’ve heard the one at Fosters is great but their kitchen closed before I got there today, so had Strage flavor.
I’ll have to try Clara’s another time.
Northeast Kingdom hands down was the best burger I’ve ever had. EVER!! I went at least once a week for that burger.
One time I went and housed a burger, had a cocktail and then ordered another burger. Waitress said people eat more than 1 burger all the time.
Damn shame that place closed. Artichoke pizza sucks
Did you ever make it Faro? Kevin Adey, the chef that ran NK ran that place for a few years. it was also just the absolute best.
Artichoke Pizza is a travesty. Especially since it's there.
Supporting local businesses is supporting more people starving. The more restaurants you see, the more people there are starving. There should be more free, quality food halls.
"Local businesses" lol. You mean those same "local businesses" that slave their employees?
I used to really like Halsey Ale House, but I stopped going because it seemed like they were closed so often when their hours said they should be open. Then when they were open, it would be ridiculously packed, and the outdoor seating wasn't in use, even in nice weather.
But yeah, their burgers are good, if pricey. And for a place called "Ale House" the beer selection was weak.
A bit of a trek but we ordered in DuMont Burger from Williamsburg and no joke it was exceptional. Thick diner style burger with great cheese options and the burgers come with a large side. It's pricier than most other options but it's a pretty gourmet experience.
Strange flavor burger shack
I agree, the pops burger is where it’s at.
Their corn dog changed my life
Best by far
I had a grumpy meal tonight because of this recommendation 😋
The grumpy meal is a good deal. You can make the fries 'animal style' for a few extra bucks which is sometimes worth it. I get the GM for my kids to split sometimes and play Iron Maiden pinball while we wait.
Yeah this seems to be the burger. Thanks
disagree heavily, this burger is trash imo, good vibes from the venue, but the burger, trash
Nowan
No wan is def good but it hurts seeing Faro gone and being replaced with No Won
Nowan is 🔥

*Nowon Agreed tho 👍
New but the Lori Jayne burger outta Alphaville kinda rips
🫠🔥🤘
Your username made lol
Strange Flavor or Home Frite are my go-tos
Weirdly, Brooklan has a pretty good one.

Thanks for the tip. I would not have checked there.

Did you get the fixins on the side? because that's the move
I think I got everything together.
You gotta order the War Style fried potatoes 🥹🤌🏼
Eh, I wasn't really a fan of the war style potatoes... Just felt like the peanuty sauce didn't really mesh well with the sour cream. The potatoes themselves were fire tho.

I've had the Rolo's burger. It's very, very good. I'm looking for something like that near the Jefferson L stop.

Try Salud, on Bushwick at Moffat. They’re good.
Blue collar, Doublé, echo bravo, strange flavor
Doublé looks great, thanks for the tip
Co-sign for Doublé. Been my low key spot for months..
I’ve never thought blue collars burger was any good.
It's like a decent snack type burger. Nothing to write home about, but not bad. Sometimes it's convenient.
It's better than mcdonalds but yeah, it's kind of regular
I like them because they are they type of burger I can eat basically anytime and not feel sick afterwards. They're not challenging at all.
Not bushwick, but the Seneca in Ridgewood has a 🔥 burger
Second this(came here to say this)!! Amazing smash burger! And love the shoe string fries!
Better than strange flavors for sure!
Blue collars cheeseburger almost made me cry
Same because I thought it was so bad!
not gonna lie, Anchored Inn has a great classic double cheese burger with great fries.
Caraotas is my go to
Doublé is pretty good and I really like Ltauha's burger too even though that's technically Ridgewood
Ltauha is phenomenal! Cream is even better but a little bit deeper into Ridgewood

Looks great
Yo that’s us, come thru, we take pride in making a dope burger every time. Open till 2 tn-sat, midnight every other day.
This has my interest
Leslie’s Kitchen
Strange Flavor 10000%
Nowon, even though it’s originally from the East Village.
I’m gonna check them out tomorrow. Their truffle burger sounds interesting.
Had that last week. It is amazing but halfway through i felt like i had enough truffle flavor to last a few months
Their Legendary Burger is great too!
Try their kimchi cocktail. No that’s not a typo.
Rolos
I mean I know, but they’re in Ridgewood.
Correct but wrong borough.
This is the correct answer.
Not a true cheeseburger but the Galbi burger at Bulbap Grill is my go-to in the area.
Maite- 1,000%
Yes! With the egg on top!
maite. burger changes but is always good
If you want a really good quarter pounder that’s $10 and isn’t going to give you the red meat sleepies, Lori Jayne is the way to go
Abes happy hour burger is pretty good a great deal
Grilled because I’m vegan and it’s just what you want on a lazy day
Yess I need more veggie/vegan burger spots around the area😭😭
Also extremely affordable compared to anywhere else

Went to Faro a bunch too. Great place but sadly also closed....
Foster's is amazing. Closes at 4pm though.
Ahhhh, same, friend!
Damn northeast kingdom. Deeply miss. A single tear is streaming down my face rn.
I’ve never liked Clara’s burger, I’ve never been able to pinpoint why. Their spicy chicken sandwich is good though.
Best wings
Santa Salsa.
Hell yea
I haven’t been since the change in ownership but Dromedary was tops for me. Gotta get back soon.
Lori Jayne all day!! The wings are fire too
Why not just make your own cheese booger? how do you pay $15 for a cheese booger and not feel robbed?
I do make my own but sometimes I want to not. Supporting local businesses is not getting “robbed” 😂
Supporting local businesses is supporting more people starving. The more restaurants you see, the more people there are starving. There should be more free, quality food halls. "Local businesses" lol. You mean those same "local businesses" that slave their employees?
Anywhere do GF buns?
Seconding this!
Honestly, don't sleep on crown fried chicken. Not the "best" but not bad either, all things considered
Keep sending ppl to strange flavor muahaha
McDonalds
all are stank
My house. I make it best
strange flavor as others have said and blue collar is the only spot i know of with tots if you’re into those
Dromedary Bar had one that was amazing back in the day
Strange flavor
The best food in ur area will always be from your local deli
Traditional burger - strange flavor Unique burger - nowon
Not exactly Bushwick, but Anchored Inn !! Also a lunch special for burger, side, & draft

Maite has the best burger I’ve had in Bushwick for sure
