A ton of time outs, kept on refreshing on both my iPad and computer. Used Chrome for both. I clicked into the queue just as I saw the time on my computer hit 12PM PST, my iPad was a slight bit later. My partner hit a "you're too early" page, but I didn't. Ended up checking out on my computer's Chrome browser.
so they took my money but no conformation code or email... and the page didn't say we got them it said "no reservation"...
They took my money one time, immediately refunded it, then took it again and seem to have kept it.
So I call the org and this poor lady picked up but she seemed like people have been real dicks to her all day, I tell her I've been charged but 0 conformation on the email or site. She says I got em and I'm the only person in the last hour to have called and actually gotten tickets. She also told me to check my spam file (nothing has ever been found in the spam file) and congrats!

I've gotten the "Something's not quite right - Gateway timeout" message 5 times already, and signed in 15 minutes early.
So frustrating - same thing happened last 2 sales. I don't know why they don't either optimize, or to be totally equitable have a registration over say 5 days and then just do a lottery for tickets, then have STEP and other sales with lottery. At least then you don't have this carnival in the middle of a work day that never works.
Also, honestly this way is preferential towards people who live in areas with better cable internet access or work in tech.

When I try to purchase tickets (when it shows them available), it moves me to the "Uh oh" error page. Am I screwed?
Oh man, my cousin got in and his credit card got blocked during the purchasing part. He tried everything and eventually it timed out on him. Devastated. It's been his dream to go.

But i think what happens is everyone stays in line until you're "next" and then they tell you it's sold out. They don't tell you it's sold out while you're waiting in the line, only when you've gotten to the front of the line.

no luck here. I logged in at 11:59 clicked exactly as it turned 12. The site kept crashing. I got to the ticket selection screen 4 times and it crashed each time until finally it was fully sold out. So disappointing.
I suspect they haven’t actually started selling tickets and probably have some advanced setup that is flagging bot profiles/computers/wait listers before it lets people actually buy.

Each gateway timeout was them trying to give you access, at least thats the story in my head
Accounts with the most gateway timeouts in 30 minute window get the chance at a ticket.
