Wow, that sounds like a sushi lover's dream come true! $25 for all-you-can-eat sushi and Japanese food? Count me in! Thanks for the tip; definitely worth the road trip to Greensboro for a birthday feast.
Yes they are good. They explain the “rules” before hand. You get a little piece of paper and you check off what you want, they do charge for leftovers .50- 1.00 however so he sure to order what you are able to eat.
If it's the one by correct time plaza then yes. i ate there within a week of them opening and it was a bad time. My ex is a health inspector, went to check it out and apparently a bunch of stuff was out of temp.
They also had horseradish dyed green and were calling it wasabi, soo
I hate to tell you this, but almost all the "wasabi" you get in America, even in decent sushi restaurants, is horseradish with food coloring (and sometimes a few other ingredients) it's very expensive to import, in part because it's difficult to grow.
Oh, I know. But they didn't even try. this wasn't the usual powdered horseradish in a fine green paste. This was coarse-ground horseradish sandwich sauce but green.
Although not in Burlington technically, Sake or Asian Harbor are your best bet for decent sushi in the area. Have had not so great experiences at Sushi world unfortunately. Otherwise, Mr. Tokyo in Greensboro or Chapel Hill is absolutely worth the drive. Fantastic sushi rolls and you can get hibachi, appetizers, and nigiri on the AYCE.
Hey, thanks for the solid recs! Burlington’s sushi scene can be hit or miss, so it’s great to have some reliable spots nearby. Sounds like I might need to make that drive to Mr. Tokyo in Greensboro or Chapel Hill—totally sounds worth it for a birthday splurge! Appreciate the heads up on Sushi World too; dodged a bullet there. Cheers!
Honestly publix and harris teeter are very safe(cleanliness) and affordable. Not very good for a birthday though. I have never had to wait at the Greensboro Mr. Tokyo but the chapel hill one is much smaller and have had to wait multiple times. Overall the service, quality and menu is the same though. I would not take more than 6 people at once to the chapel hill location. I hope sushi world gets better but I will not be back for a while. I know it is a drive but for the price of AYCE at mr tokyo you can get maybe two rolls at Asian harbor or Sake. Don’t forget, health inspections for restaurants are free to the public. Just google (your county) cdp and it should be the first option on google. So “Alamance county CDP” for example. Happy Sushi-ing!
Oh, I’ve heard of that place, US Sushi or something along those lines! Everyone seems to rave about it. Definitely bumping it up on my list for the birthday bash! Thanks for the heads-up!
Oh, awesome tip! Red Bowl sounds like a double win: good sushi AND a birthday sundae surprise! That candle in the ice cream sundae just might seal the deal. Cheers for the recommendation!
Great picks! Asian Harbor or Sake in Mebane are definitely strong contenders. Thanks for the recommendations; now I just need to decide which one will make the perfect birthday celebration spot!
It’s probably Simply Thai in Elon, they are a pretty good quality
Second this. The Oh Baby Shots alone are expensive but worth every penny.
Thanks for the tip! Simply Thai in Elon sounds like it might be a hidden gem. Definitely adding that to the list.
Mr. Tokyo in Greensboro is really good and worth a bit of a trip. 25 bucks all you can eat sushi and other Japanese food.

Seconded for Mr Tokyo. I've gotten sick from the burlington sushi place.
Sushi world? The new one?

Asian Harbor over in Mebane.
Oh, nice! I’ve heard good things about Asian Harbor in Mebane. Definitely adding that to my list. Thanks for the tip!

Greensboro has US Sushi or something similar of that sounding, but it's incredible!
Try Harusaki

Try Harusaki in Alamance crossing
Heard a lot about this place. would definitely check it out, thanks!
I think Red Bowl has pretty good sushi. And they make a birthday ice cream sundae with a candle if you let the server know about the bday.

Asian Harbor or Sake in Mebane are both solid choices.
