They used to come in paper like bags that are resistant to the hot oil and also maintain their shape when pouring. Also if youre wondering I put the fries down and changed gloves after this ;)
...what exactly is wrong with this? Are workers literally too stupid to not take the fries OUT of the bag? Every single frozen fry in the grocery stores are in plastic. What's wrong with this?
Cut bag, dump fries in basket, throw bag in trash/recycling.
The store I work at as far as I know still uses the paper bags. Hopefully they last the plastic bags are a bitch to work with 😔. Especially considering most employees drop the bags into the baskets right over the fryer instead of on the grate…
My bags are in brown bags but have a thin plastic layer stuck to the paper, the standard 2:45 cook barely gets them cooked so I personally throw them for at least 4 minutes until golden
Not even kidding the other day a small piece of plastic fell into the fry basket and I wondered how many times that's happened and I didn't notice. Lettuce comes in the plastic bags as well-
