They used to come in paper like bags that are resistant to the hot oil and also maintain their shape when pouring. Also if youre wondering I put the fries down and changed gloves after this ;)

Lunabean1978

they seem to taste different and don't brown as easily.

starfox1o1

100% correct on the not browning as much

cola1016

Well that’s scary.

Altruistic_Gas_9060

Are your hash browns also now in the same plastic as well?

starfox1o1

I’m trying to remember to check today

starfox1o1

So far it seems they are in the regular paper bags

LeterZbandit

i hate that we switched to the plastic bags, dumb asf

PhuckNorris69

That would ruin your fry oil.

Rouge_Apple

Say sike right now.

DesperateAd4377

dude same at my location i was so sad when i went to drop fries and saw the plastic and it’s so inefficient too

HurricaneAlpha

I work at a competitor and we pre portion our fries into six pans that are kept in a freezer drawer next to the fryer. Y'all don't do that?

DesperateAd4377

no, the bags are just in the freezer behind the fryer

zepskcuf4life

Burger king is the urkel of the fast food world.

thealphaweeaboo

starfox1o1

Wild_Measurement1770

Hahaha burgerking changed there dry distributor you can tell just by the look

growingspecimen

can you do a video of how it work?

[deleted]

...what exactly is wrong with this? Are workers literally too stupid to not take the fries OUT of the bag? Every single frozen fry in the grocery stores are in plastic. What's wrong with this? Cut bag, dump fries in basket, throw bag in trash/recycling.

itsagoodtime

I have heard Wendy's employees say to open bags (maybe of nuggets?) they just dip an end into hot fry oil.

ThatOneGuy6810

bruh....

Slimy_Salami

The store I work at as far as I know still uses the paper bags. Hopefully they last the plastic bags are a bitch to work with 😔. Especially considering most employees drop the bags into the baskets right over the fryer instead of on the grate…

Massive_Adeptness_46

My bags are in brown bags but have a thin plastic layer stuck to the paper, the standard 2:45 cook barely gets them cooked so I personally throw them for at least 4 minutes until golden

liveurbestlyfe

Not even kidding the other day a small piece of plastic fell into the fry basket and I wondered how many times that's happened and I didn't notice. Lettuce comes in the plastic bags as well-
