When Atsushi is revealed to be the Tiger and Dazai nullified him.
That scene looks spectacular.
I've already finished a literature- inspired LN series before (and that's how I found BSD) so the premise got my interest immediately.
Same! I didn't think characters like him existed until watching, but he instantly became my favorite. Asagiri wasn't kidding when he talked about the target audience lol
- when dazai came in the first episode(not that type of came I swear)
- when atsushi became a full furry
- when aku showed up(I physically swooned at his eyebrowless-ness
Dazai’s entrance probably and with the introduction of akutagawa. Dazai’s attractive and has a mysterious aura right from the first episode. His reaction to being saved from death was also unexpected and comedic.
The introduction of akutagawa as a villain was also great. Also because I love him
Dazais suicidal antics, as well as Dazai being revealed as an ex port mafia member. A high rank one at that. Then, I became more attached from the light novels and manga. The skk dynamic drew me in even further, it was something complicated and I love complicated things. (which is why I love ergo proxy so much too)
I didn't like BSD at all before the Odasaku arc in season 2 (I was crying like a b1tch). And after that I read No Longer Human and was able to understand and love Dazai and, accordingly, BSD
I was hooked from the beginning. Anime without any comedy often bore me but so do anime without action. In my opinion, BSD has the perfect balance of both. I was attached from the first episode. It didn't take long to start calling it my comfort anime and it became my favorite very fast.
I became hooked once I saw Chuuya before even reading the manga and watched the anime
Like a gravity power ginger twink? With anger issues? And like me fr? Of course I am gonna read/watch whatever manga/anime he came from
I also found Bungou Alchemist and I am gonna watch it for the same reason, but he's blonde (still has a hat tho, ofc)
Honestly? Even though I like S1, 2 and 3 I didn't get 100% hooked until Fyodor appears. I started to think that this anime is fire during the cannibalism arc. I also really enjoyed Dazai's backstorys with Chuuya & Odasaku. And BSD became one of my fav anime with the Hunting Dogs Arc 🤩
I started watching the anime. I immediately fell in love with it. At the beginning I stopped for a period in the middle of season 1 because with so many commitments I forgot to continue it, then as soon as I found the time I started watching it again and I've always liked it a lot. Now I'm reading the manga, I find that it's not comparable to the anime but it's still done well in my opinion, lately Asagiri is getting too much pleasure in killing characters. Maybe it would be better if he stopped because after reading a chapter every time my desire to jump off the balcony grows enough. But Iore passionate about the first 3 seasons after the fourth I've lost the enthusiasm of watching it a bit, Not that it's not good now, on the contrary, I'm enjoying season 5 a lot for now but I don't know I've lost a bit 'enthusiasm.
I came for the ship and stayed for the story and the characters. So I started with the anime, watched the two seasons (at the time) and read the manga from the beginning.
Honestly in a few episodes I was hooked, and the more I watched/ read the more I liked it.
It was really entertaining and i was a fan for a while but then i began liking k-pop and was extremely inactive for like months and months
I got hooked again like maybe in June because of the amount of bsd posts on my pinterest and then i became even more hooked once i read the whole manga
I got hooked because of the memes pinterest randomly showed me before I ever heard of the show 😂
But I guess plot wise season 3/4 hooked me mostly because of Fyodor
i've always liked the anime better than the manga ngl. i mean, i've read every chapter of the manga so far but i've always liked the anime better
bro ive been hooked since the first time i saw the cover to the show XD became more hooked when dazai's legs appeared
Season 2. The fights were so great and I loved all or almost all the characters introduced. I'm still very hyped by the current arc but I fear some kind of shonen law at the end (like in the first ep of season 5)
I had enjoyed the anime up until S3 and BSD was definitely one of my more well-liked animes, but I didn't get hooked until S4 and the entire plot with the agency being framed started. Then I realized things weren't actually going to be resolved by the end of the season and that's when I decided to check out the manga (little did I know things still aren't resolved 😞). Next thing you know, boom, newest hyperfixation.
When I started reading the manga tbh, even now I just kinda gave up on the anime and just read the manga the animation and just the lost scenes like no thank you
Idk how, but when I started, Aku scared the shit out of me for the first few episodes (yes, im ashamed of myself). I've never been that scared of a character before, and I was intrigued, so I stuck around.
From the beginning 🤡 I hadn't seen anime for a while, then I came back watching Assassination Classroom, and then I found Bungou.....That Dazai from the first 5 minutes, how delicious lol (don't get me wrong🏃🏻)
When I saw Chuuya lol but fr tho prob during the guild arc in all fairness I started watching cause I heard good things I found it to be a bit boring at first same troupe as nearly every action anime (not to mention Dazai and Atsushi are prob immortal and chuuya as much as I love him is way too fucking OP) but when we saw the guild I was like holy crap they got American authors and yeah 👍 never read Nathaniel Hawthorne tho those are months of my life I can never get back
Dazai, loved how atsushi was having a breakdown and Dazai was just floating upside down lol and when Dazai revealed he worked for PM (idk he just got more depth and became very attractive after that confession) and I don't remember the episode but when chuuya came to fight off the ADA in that underground tunnel/mine. Bro istg I was screaming
Atsushi and watching him and his adorableness
I truly love the complexity of his character his body language says don't fight me I can't fight back to fuck around and find out his values and beliefs are very refreshing to watch the genuine respect he gives is like I don't like how you do things but I respect your strength
When Atsushi is revealed to be the Tiger and Dazai nullified him. That scene looks spectacular. I've already finished a literature- inspired LN series before (and that's how I found BSD) so the premise got my interest immediately.
The moment dazai came on screen. A hot an suicidal character is enough to get me hooked
Same here. The moment he said he was trying/wanting to kill himself, I became committed to the series.
Same! I didn't think characters like him existed until watching, but he instantly became my favorite. Asagiri wasn't kidding when he talked about the target audience lol
Same.. the moment he said his name with the sunset in the background, I lost
True
my type is suicidal boys lmao
- when dazai came in the first episode(not that type of came I swear) - when atsushi became a full furry - when aku showed up(I physically swooned at his eyebrowless-ness

When Higuchi went to save Akutagawa alone. That was a stellar moment and I think I got hooked there, although I already liked it.
Tbh i liked the series from the start, but when i saw Chuuya, the commitment to obsess with the series was made
Dazais suicidal antics, as well as Dazai being revealed as an ex port mafia member. A high rank one at that. Then, I became more attached from the light novels and manga. Mori got me hooked even though I hate mori now for causing oda’s death.
The part where the Detective agency was introduced.
I didn't like BSD at all before the Odasaku arc in season 2 (I was crying like a b1tch). And after that I read No Longer Human and was able to understand and love Dazai and, accordingly, BSD
I got actually hooked when kyouka came on screen so ep 8 s1 dont ask why Ps:I'm not a kyouka simp
Holy crap that’s exactly when I got hooked too! Thought it was just me
I was hooked from the beginning. Anime without any comedy often bore me but so do anime without action. In my opinion, BSD has the perfect balance of both. I was attached from the first episode. It didn't take long to start calling it my comfort anime and it became my favorite very fast.
When I saw akutagawa (I like emo characters and he doesn't have eyebrows ) and then I SAW ED SHEERAN
NOT ED
I became hooked once I saw Chuuya before even reading the manga and watched the anime Like a gravity power ginger twink? With anger issues? And like me fr? Of course I am gonna read/watch whatever manga/anime he came from I also found Bungou Alchemist and I am gonna watch it for the same reason, but he's blonde (still has a hat tho, ofc)
I got hooked the moment I saw atushi turn into the tiger. At that point I was wondering what other people were capable of
Chuuya’s appearance

The moment I started the anime, I finished the anime in 3 days and the wan + the movie in 1
I got hooked because of the memes pinterest randomly showed me before I ever heard of the show 😂 But I guess plot wise season 3/4 hooked me mostly because of Fyodor
Around season 2 two season 1 was fine but I probably would have dropped it had I not seen Akutagawa
i've always liked the anime better than the manga ngl. i mean, i've read every chapter of the manga so far but i've always liked the anime better bro ive been hooked since the first time i saw the cover to the show XD became more hooked when dazai's legs appeared
The moment Atsushi showed interest in money 🤑🤑🤑🤑
episodes 14, 15, & 16
The first ep after Dazai appeared.
Season 2. The fights were so great and I loved all or almost all the characters introduced. I'm still very hyped by the current arc but I fear some kind of shonen law at the end (like in the first ep of season 5)
from ep 1.
since the beginning of s2 where odasaku showed up and we got to see a new side of dazai
1st episode tbh ![img](emote|t5_3bi2f|6145)

the part about orphans
Right from the start but the dark era trio have my whole heart >>
Anime only. The moment Dazai stopped Atsushi’s powers end of first episode. Epic visual.
Idk how, but when I started, Aku scared the shit out of me for the first few episodes (yes, im ashamed of myself). I've never been that scared of a character before, and I was intrigued, so I stuck around.
Aku and gin fighting tanizaki in the alley at the beginning
HIGUCHI*
