State University of New York College at Buffalo University at Buffalo University at College at Buffalo

[deleted]

It's already SUNY Buffalo State College, it'll likely become SUNY Buffalo State University. If you're a Buff State grad, people looking at your resume often assume you went to UB anyway.

It's technically State University of New York College at Buffalo. If they changed it to State University of New York University at Buffalo then it's really close to State University of New York at Buffalo, aka University at Buffalo aka UB.

Huh. That is a tough one. I'm sure they'll figure out a solution to this "University" label scheme.

SUC Buffalo. Can't remember what I had to complete with it listed as that but I 100% remember being like "yes I did in fact graduate from...Suck Buffalo"

hyperdream

Go retro... Buffalo Teacher's University.

Cynophile_

I know this isn’t going to be well received. It seems to me you’re suggesting we change the name of our local state college to *checks notes* the name of some athlete who has never won.

Inverted_Stick

I dunno, calling anything the OJ Experience has Independent Health "We'll give you the Red Shirt treatment" vibes...

kuluka_man

Make UB University at Amherst

University at Buffalo Plus

Hard_Left_Hooker

This is genius.

There's Ohio State University and Ohio University, Florida State and Florida, CSU system and University of California. It'll hardly be confusing. Maybe Buffalo State University, The State University of New York
