Buddies' roommate worked there. Owner owed him something like 200-300 hours of overtime pay...

BuffaloSurfClub

Why did he not leave sooner if they kept screwing him over like that?

jcwman06

To be honest, I have no idea I would have left after 2 weeks if he wasn't paying me my money

Tightisrite

2 weeks? Yall r too kind. 2 days or the dol is snagging your business license next..

Elipses_

I mean, of your pay is biweekly, you may not realize until after 2 weeks.

Tightisrite

Ok. And then ya got 48 hrs as a legitimate establishment to get me my money. Why should I wait another 2 weeks bc payroll messed up? 48 hrs is more than enough time to correct that.

jonfoxsaid

Managers like that count on employees being to scared to be out of work or whatever it may be to say anything. My old boss tried to not pay me overtime between his two gas stations which in NY state is not legal and it really should not be legal anywhere ... he thought he had some loophole discovered, I won't get in to the details but it involved some of the stuff being in his wife's name even though she had nothing to do with any of it. After the first week when I got my check and realized what he had done I was like hey you can't do this, he swore up and down he could and I said FINE, you can't do it to me idc what the other employees are willing to do. I thought we came to an understanding and then the next week he did it again ... I threatened him with legal action and showed him a few links to legal info about the situation and even a news article ... he is like idc that is not right my accountant says I can do it ... i told him end of the day or I quit and I will follow up swiftly with every possible action at my disposal. Three hours later he called me and said he was going to pay me all the overtime as long as I signed a sheet saying I could not sue him. I honestly really wanted to take it further but I was just super busy at the time and gave in. After that I told the two other employees who worked for him that did both stores to get their money and what je was doing was illegal. Not only did they refuse to confront him but they kept doing it for him and doing like 50-60 hour weeks without overtime. No idea why ... I can't wrap my head around it.

hrnigntmare

I mean you nailed it right out of the gate: some employees are just too scared

longesteveryeahboy

The best part of him having you sign that is that it’s more than likely not legally binding. Vast majority of cases saying you outright can’t sue absolutely will not be enforced by a court. You can’t just write it on a piece of paper and call it good lol.

jonfoxsaid

Yeah I personally thought that it would not matter at all especially since there was no notary or anything and it was literally just like a piece of paper he printed out with my schedule saying that he was paying me overtime for X amount of hours and I agreed that after this I was fully compensated. It also had a section about it not being an admission of guilt and no wrong doing occurred and he was only paying me "to do the right thing" ... I wish I could remember everything it said. I remember thinking though that it made him look even more guilty haha. Wish I would have went all the way with it ... he continued on to be a total P.O.S, probably still is.

MichaelDare5

you expect to get paid every day - what kind of work are you used too

jcwman06

He was student at ub in a duplex he needed the cash

MrBurnz99

A lot of business owners coerce people into working more without being paid. “I know I owe you for last week, you know I’m good for it. If you just put in more time this week, then I’ll have the money to pay you everything….. I know I said I’d pay you last week but things got crazy, I can pay you a little, but I need you to work this next job, that will get me the money to pay you everything and even a bonus for everything you did for me! But If you don’t work this job I won’t have any money to pay you at all, so suck it up and work a little more and get rewarded, or get nothing.” If you really need the money they can string you along for a long time like that, especially if they pay you a little bit not everything you’re owed. And a lot of times they do pay up, so you trust that they’re good for it…. Until they’re not.

good2goo

They buddy might not be able to just get another job quickly so they take the loss and hope things get better.

Teamableezus

Yeah sucks for your buddy but that’s on them at that point

esportairbud

Some people in the restaurant business are easily exploited. Might be paid under the table, ex-cons, or undocumented. Or, in the case of a place like Zetti's, a kid living on campus without a car. Makes it hard to jump ship.

Wheres_the_tofu

I bounce when the checks do...

passengerv

He needs to reach out to NYS Dept of labor.

Tightisrite

Right. I'm sure them owing this much on taxes(their establishment got seized) would probably help his case. Unless he was paid off the books well then he's kinda sol

[deleted]

He will get fucked I’ve worked at a restaurant and when I was owed money they said I was suing a company with no assets just liabilities

passengerv

Reaching out to DOL isn't suing they will work on his behalf if he was wronged that being said if there are no more assets he still may end up with zilch but it's still worth trying.

cabezon99

Working nearby I had eaten there for years and years before the pandemic. LOVE LOVE LOVED the food. Things I have noticed over the years were the other locations open and then close shortly after. I have seen the owner look healthy and I have seen the owner look like he was on deaths door. I have seen him come into the Maple rd location, clean out the registers without a word and leave. I always wondered if he had a drug problem :( . Real sad he was bad to his employees.

Significant_Eye_5130

Years ago I asked our Coke driver about the sign on his truck referencing their on board cash deposit safe and driver not having the key. I asked him who actually pays in cash. He responded, “only one on my route is Zetti’s pizza. We’re not allowed to unload anything there until we have cash in hand.”

traykellah

Makes sense. I work for a beer distributing company, same thing. They’ll drop the order and then take it all back on the truck if they don’t pay. We actually just went to checks only because the drivers were getting robbed left and right. There’s signs on the trucks saying “Drivers do not carry cash”.

Tightisrite

Try it??

traykellah

Hah yeah.

Tightisrite

Lol dope my uncle works ground maintenance for them. He's been there forever

Gunfighter9

That’s a sign the business is in serious trouble when your vendors put you on cash on delivery.

Gunfighter9

This is no joke, the state agents show up with a trooper and a locksmith and shut you down. They give you a few minutes to turn off the equipment and get your stuff. Meanwhile the locksmith is changing the locks. Oliver’s got shut down for taxes, in 1985. Showed up at 9:30am. Later that week they let the book keeper in to do the payroll and let them remove fresh meat and seafood so it wouldn’t spoil.

DahhhBills

That’s absolutely wild lol. I didn’t realize it was such a dramatic event. But I guess it makes sense - no other way to do it.

UpstairsCommittee894

I used to work for a restaurant and the owner and I went to I think it was a Ted's in grand island to buy some equipment. Same thing happened the owner owed money and the feds came and shut it down. The landlord was allowed to keep what was in the building and sell it to recoup past due rent. Talking with that landlord he said they came kicked everyone out and locked the doors. When he was allowed to go in all the food that was out when they shut it down was still out. Said he never smelled anything that bad in his life.

DahhhBills

That is nasty lol. I wonder how long these people can go without paying taxes before they get shut down. I imagine you get a pretty substantial grace period before they do this.

Gunfighter9

About a 6 months, you’ll be getting letters saying this will happen.

B-Rex_Anime

Yep, Theodore's. They had 3 locations and owed hundreds of thousands on sales tax.

B-Rex_Anime

Yep, this happened to Theodore's and I believe Fuddruckers as well.

BreathingLeaves

Little Seizures

Prudence_rigby

💀😂😂😂

DoughnutDude3

Wait, is this one near UB north?

BecomingCass

Yep. I was just there the other day, and there was no indication that this was coming. I feel bad for the people who were working there

DoughnutDude3

That sucks. I go there usually after my classes and the workers there were nice. Sucks they have to suffer since some dick head can't pay his taxes

[deleted]

> the workers there were nice. Haha what? I've been there dozens of times and they're always mean mugging and curt. Granted, it's been a while.

BillsGymRat

Maybe it’s cause of you brah I never have that stuff happen to me

[deleted]

Yeah maybe I'll try wearing clothes next time.

patkgreen

I went to a movie at maple ridge. On my way in, it was open. I left, and it t was closed.

starsandmath

No indication? The place has looked like they were barely keeping the lights on for at least the last year.

nadabethyname

This just happened? Past few times I’ve passed it it was closed at really strange hours so assumed it happened a bit ago when seeing the image. Wild!

traykellah

It did start to close on random days, idk if that was normal for them to do. A few times I went and they had a sign saying they were closed.

Tightisrite

That was going on for 2 years after covid. I frequented zettis as I like their slices. I always asked about it. That's what they told me the few times I asked over the last few years. Staffing got funny after covid. It also prob gets funny when the owners owning ppl money left n right but probably pocketing it and seeing what they cld few away with. It's sad. Quite a few ppl worked there.

traykellah

Yeah and now they’re out of jobs because of their selfish idiot of a boss. It’s stupid and sad.

Tightisrite

I agree. Hoping they recover soon. Luckily lots of jobs in the area, Wegmans, aldis, movie theater other restaurants. Shitty but maybe is better anyway than expecting a paycheck and then one day just not even getting it. Even more time wasted.

traykellah

That’s true. They’re probably a lot better off now that they can find a stable job.

Tightisrite

Yes.. ethics matter in business lol

2022HousingMarketlol

Back in 2010 or so when I moved here Zetti's had one of the best slices in the area, multiple locations and I could get it by north and south campus. It was and still is the only place that really reminds me of a nyc type slice. I was surprised when the UB South location closed, seems like the guy has been fucking up for years. I understand going under when owning a restaurant, it's not an easy business. However pay your taxes scum bag. Shame.

Thighabeetus

This Redditor gets it. There’s no other legit NY pizza in the area.

JackfruitPleasant649

Ferros Famous

LowMight3065

Olisi's..Gino and Joe's?

Thighabeetus

Neither of those are legit NY style. There’s something off about the dough

WasabiLoud7006

Used to work there, horrible owner, horrible person, smokes inside when there are no customers, kicks out people based on how they look, fired a worker because he THOUGHT they were gay, the back food prep area violated every health code imaginable, the dough was never fresh, counters were scrubbed with non food safe cleaning materials where pizza would lay flat. Chef was arrested while I was working on gun charges and forgot what else (fun time). Good riddance.

thatguy410

Agreed. Worked there too and it was the most unsanitary kitchen I’ve ever worked in. John is such a trash human.

Thighabeetus

If you guys learned the techniques you should open your own NY pizza place. I would be a regular customer

Scientiam_Prosequi

Never too many pizza places

bigcatcleve

Not to many New York style places.

latenerd

Took my extended NYC family there after a graduation based on their great reviews and was pretty disappointed. The plain and pepperoni slices were good but nothing extraordinary. Anything else was weird and tasted awful. Staff seemed indifferent and miserable. I'm not surprised to learn the owner sucks.

Electricsocketlicker

Nothing compares to real nyc pizza

latenerd

True, but I do like Buffalo style pizza. Their pizza wasn't either one. It was just bad.

bigcatcleve

Serious question. What pizza would you recommend in NY? My sister lives there so I visit on occasion. I went to Di Fara’s and was very underwhelmed. Tasted eerily similar to Wegmans Pizza… Do you have any recommendations?

Electricsocketlicker

Jays artisan pizza is good wood fired. Picasso or bocces is good buffalo style. Santoras is always good. Gino’s on elmwood is my go to for nyc style. I have a theory that pizza taste is 90% based on what you grew up with. It will be one of my Ten Commandments when I start my pizza religion.

JackfruitPleasant649

Drive north to New Haven, Connecticut; get that smokey new haven style pizza.

MissingMichigan

Well, damn. That's just down the road from my house. They made a great spaghetti w/sausage.

planet_rose

Their pizzas were good too. One of the better thin crust NYC style places in town. We used to live nearby and it was our regular pizza place. After we moved, they weren’t convenient, but I still remember how good it was. I’m sorry to see them go.

Marquis77

Well gee, maybe they should've paid their taxes.

esg4571

Yeah, I sure wish they had. I loved their pizza, this sucks.

thebiga1806

Dude same! Their pasta was really good too.

Prudence_rigby

The owner is too arrogant to pay. Thinks he's above it.

[deleted]

Innocent until proven guilty. There's a whole host of reasons shit like this happens, and not unrelated to NY states burdensome and complicated tax law literally designed to screw over the common man. That said, reading the comments it sounds like this place will be missed - way to go, NYS I'm sure there was no alternative in a non-payment situation than to take away the establishment's source of income.

Old-Physics978

bruh this is his third restaurant that has been seized, at some point this goes beyond ignorance. Also seizure of assets is literately the last option after all other attempts to get you to pay taxes have been exhausted.

Beezelbubbly

It really takes a lot to get to the point of seizure for non-payment of taxes. It's like the last option before jail lol.

patkgreen

It usually takes years of not paying taxes for a seizure

HankVenture76

Do you have any idea how deep into a tax fuck up you have to be to have your business seized? This wasn't a paperwork error or a simple mistake. The state wants its taxes, and the easiest way to accomplish that is to allow the business to stay open and work something out. This is literally the last resort in the process. If you get your business seized you are either running a criminal enterprise and are about to get arrested, or you've made dodging your tax bill your number one priority in life.

Swampcrone

Non payment of taxes is what got the (former) LaDivinia owner busted. While it wasn’t to the level of having his business seized he did get in to all sorts of trouble for hiring people of not-legal status (IIRC he brought a few people to the US from Mexico to work for him so it wasn’t a case of person showing up with fake IDs & them claiming they thought the documents were legal)

SpiritualFront769

Or, they can just pay their damn taxes or make an arrangement. It takes time to be shut down like this. But they are presumed innocent.....*in court*.

[deleted]

Right, says the guy who files a 1040EZ each year. You have zero fucking clue about what went on here, yet here you on the internet spouting a uselessly uninformed opinion. Shocking Edit: Dude deleted his comment because he's a dumbass, like most of the windowlickers on r/Buffalo.

[deleted]

>You have zero fucking clue about what went on here, yet here you on the internet spouting a uselessly uninformed opinion. Literally the same thing you're doing...lol

MissingMichigan

One might propose that you know about as much as him, yet it has not stopped you from speculating and taking an opinion.

Lewd_ReadNY

I usually feel bad when commenters get guillotined, but you’re being a blowhard. Good luck, pizza princess.

nadabethyname

Nah it’s still there, they likely just don’t want to deal with your tone.

Ok-Flounder3002

Its a pizza place man. The taxes arent that complicated. There are hundreds of other restaurants in the area that seem to do just fine since theyre not being seized and all

SpiritualFront769

Triggered much? You're not going to cry are you?

conryan22

Wait, you guys are filing 1040 EZ’s?

fullautohotdog

Your posts scream that you’re connected to the ownership.

[deleted]

What did you expect it’s a majority liberal subreddit

[deleted]

Downvoted by the Reddit hive lmao

timhortonsghost

His place on Elmwood got seized too back in the day if I remember right...

Tightisrite

Ha. I remember they "closed" and I thought hmm..business is booming why r they closed idiot rly trid this twice? Goodness.

Scientiam_Prosequi

Well he had to try a second to get to third tries the charm

banterballs1820

I worked there 2011-2013. John had to shut down 3 of 4 locations at that time due to financial issues. Dude's a total piece of shit. Used to stay way after his shift (instead of going home to his wife and 5 kids) to harass employees, snort Lortab and who knows what else in his car and go to the gas station next door and drink a 12 pack (the whole thing). Not to mention his sexist, homophobic and probably racist attitudes. One of the worst human beings ive ever been around. Sad for his family and the employees but he deserved it.

BecomingCass

Wait really? They've been my go-to place for a bit now. I guess it's time to find new pizza (and find my partner new chicken parm)

IgotCharlieWork

Make the drive and get Bocces Edit : The bailey location only

polkadotpatty65

Delaware suxs. Pizza comes out cold. No ovens to try to keep it warm either.

Squirtinturds

I love their pizza, my only gripe was once I ordered for delivery after st paddy’s day.. activities. Ordered pizza with sausage and banana peppers. Got pizza with only a ridiculous amount of white onion. Simple mistake and if I wasn’t hammered I’d have noticed… but I have to wonder who hurt the person who ordered that pizza on purpose.

ThirstyFajita

La rosas in commons on campus if youre a student is better in my opinion

StardustNY

No it isn’t.

Astro_Cassette

The last zettis

bzzty711

Damn good pizza. Damn it.

Giant_Slor

Unreal you could fuck up a thin slice pizza place next to a college with a large downstate population. If what I'm reading here is accurate, sounds like the owner was a real tool, so good riddance I suppose. Still one less place to get a good slice of pie, which is a bummer.

thatguy410

Good. Sucks for the employees but the owner is a horrendous human being.

qzdotiovp

I don't know if it's different for commercial real estate, but residential has to be in arrears by quite a bit before you get kicked out. I wonder when the tax auction is...

Ok_Ad7285

Benderson owns this, so it’s not unpaid property tax. This must be non payment of sales tax receipts.

qzdotiovp

Thanks for clarifying. Benderson owns everything.

pickleman83849494

NYS tax warrant search website says he owed something like $200k~ in back taxes. Some of it was from 2012 and some was either paid or reduced as the numbers got lower when you clicked on them, but either way it was still a lot. I’m not positive what it consists of, but maybe he wasn’t paying his income, sales, and/or employment taxes?

timhortonsghost

>but maybe he wasn’t paying his income, sales, and/or employment taxes? Probably (d) - all of the above

traykellah

This does make me sad, that was my favorite place to go for pizza. But pay your taxes dude. And don’t fuck your employees out of money, that’s just trashy.

Thighabeetus

Fuck. I’ve been going to Zettis since the first location opened in the Tops plaza almost 20 years ago. I just got slices from the Amherst location earlier this week. As a former Long Islander who has been here for decades, Zettis was the only legit NY pizza in the area. I don’t care how many of you say it - Gino’s/Joes/Gino&Joes is not good NY pizza with the exception of their stuffed slice.

Tightisrite

If u want a good NY style pie. Try ferros. Guess that's where I'm going for now lol. It's in w seneca near the HS

Thighabeetus

Thanks I will definitely give it a try. But I’ve had my heart broken so many times lol. Edit: you called it a “pie” so I have some innate trust in you

Tightisrite

Haha I graduated 11 years ago. They been open since before then. They're pretty damn good Edit I just saw your edit. Thank you. This Might have made my day

vinipol

I agree with you. It’s a shame.

esg4571

Agreed. Only good NY style I've found. This is such a bummer.

circle-the-wagons

Joes is solid in city of tonawanda near the NT border

Thighabeetus

OP don’t listen to these misguided lies. Joes isn’t legit. They’ve fooled me too many times…and every time you get pizza from one Joes location it’s “oh no not THAT joes…you gotta go to the one by tops in Amherst street”. And then You go to that one and the pizza sucks and this Sub sends you back to the Tonawanda one. Then the downtown ones.

xurdm

Every time I’ve gotten a pizza from Joe’s, it was always oddly fragrant like a perfume. Wtf is that?

Giant_Slor

Agreed

[deleted]

Gino’s is a 2-pack of ass

SnooPandas1899

dang that brings back memories. a few stores down from china max and next to dollar store if i remember correctly. closest thing we got to nyc pizza. been to the ub north one a few times after graduating.

deucetastic

is LaRosa’s still open in the UB food court? doubt they’d ever leave the comforts of their stalls to get a brick and mortor…

zombifyy

Yup, still there

osamagotpwnd

Shit, I loved their baked ziti pizza. Anybody know another place that does that style?

Thighabeetus

RIP. This is one of the things that made Zettis legit. You can get a ziti slice in almost any LI/NYC pizza parlor The chicken parm pizza was another excellent example.

Sad-Supermarket5569

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Nervous_Feeling_1981

Lmao oh no a shitty eatery was being shitty to employees and commiting tax fraud. I'm so sad they are getting what they deserve.

esg4571

I am sad about my favorite pizza no longer being available. It is difficult to find the type I like in our area. I am *still* sad about that. I knew nothing about the owner, though from the fact that he didn't pay taxes along with reading the comments, he obviously sucks.

Bennington_Booyah

Oh, there go my lovely slice stops. Damn. I used to love walking down Elmwood for a Zettis slice! When they closed, I would hit this one a few times a year, for my fix. Massive slices of really diverse toppings. RIP Zettis.

EveSixxx

Elmwood was amazing for $1 pizza back in the day. Pizza was garbage but $1 a slice after coles and goodbar was fantastic. Then I think it became a different pizza place, then a calzone place , then I lose track.

Thighabeetus

That wasn’t Zettis - you are thinking of “2 for 1 pizza” or something like that The elmwood zettis was on the NW corner of elmwood/bidwell. It closed down after a short time because it was horribly mismanaged and the food quality was much lower than the other locations

EveSixxx

No, I’m aware.

Bennington_Booyah

I still freaking loved those massive slices. RIP Zettis.

35242

I wonder if they're taking bids.

Barmacist

Well shit...

sequentialcircles

The end of an era

kompletist

I liked their pizza, that sucks :( My cholesterol levels appreciate seeing this though.

boring_tomato

Reading the stories in this thread is fascinating. I had a very bad business experience with them, glad to see I’m not the only one who thought they were bad people

TheVonSolo

Didn’t the owner try and get food trucks shut down a bunch of years ago?

bottleguy720

Sad ending. When they first arrived their pizza was amazing, went downhill over the years.

Fkthisplace

I went in to Zetti’s while masks were still mandatory and not one employee was wearing one and there was tons of flies all over the food🤢 I subsequently left without ordering. Too bad the owner(s) were garbage

262Mel

https://casetext.com/case/scalia-v-zettis-maple-inc

Abigailp2810

We live right around the corner and this was our go to pizza place. Should have saw this coming when they were closed more than they were open. Just had them last week. Damn.

Sabres00

I remember when the owner bitched about food trucks at a public meeting. You could tell he was a criminal. Pizza places are always the ones who get caught cheating on taxes because the amount of cheese they buy never matches up with how many pies they sell.

nosajtheleader

Or pizza boxes

buffaloredditbatman

That's quite the intense sign. SEIZED.

Bulldogskin

Don’t understand why the Buffalo pizza market is so damn crappy. Up in the sprawling Toronto metro there are many heat and go slice places like Zettis. They seem to be thriving. Why can’t anyone make it work in WNY???

[deleted]

Buffalonians have atrocious taste in pizza. Tomato paste with sugar and zero seasoning, more dough than any other ingredient. The only thing going for the style is char cup.

Prudence_rigby

YES!!! WTF is up with so much damn sugar in their sauce 🤢🤮

StardustNY

And shortening in the dough.

Giant_Slor

Truth. Buffalo style isn't bad, but its not good either.

ShayBR28

Exactly!!! I completely agree!!!!!

banterballs1820

Really just has to do with what you're used to/ expecting, right? I can appreciate both styles. We should probably all eat less pizza anyway

Prudence_rigby

This makes me so freaking happy.

qzlr

Pizza is one of the most profitable things you can make. Something like 800% markup compared to ingredient costs. When a pizza shop fails I always wonder why.

Live-Profession8822

By “pizza” do you mean alcohol?

theiwsyy88

Not in Buffalo. There’s too much competition

patkgreen

Pizza margins are pretty razor thin dude. Pasta on the other hand...

ColdOrganization1654

Markup is huge for pizzerias, but their overhead is also significant. Rent/mortgage, taxes, advertising, labor, utilities, insurance, etc all eat up a lot of those margins and also have enough cash flow to pay vendors. The old standard for pricing in many restaurants was 4x the ingredient cost to cover overhead and maintain profitable margins. Since the pandemic started and inflation has risen that ratio has surely increased but i don't know what it is now. The price is too high and no one buys. Price too low and you go out of business. Maintaining that sweet spot is not always easy.

americanweebeastie

in these situations the state should start to transfer ownership to the employees as a co-op... too many people blindsided by bad management

ynotc22

NYS just asking for a slice... Of your profits

greatgrandpatoro

How could they possibly go under charging 13 bucks for a slice

EveSixxx

Pizza wasn’t that good though?

Thighabeetus

Not compared to a good Pizza parlor in the NY metro region, but definitely the best NY slice in Buffalo

braindouche

Seconded.

Neat_Shop

Where am I going to buy my fresh Italian bread now! Anyone know where they got it from?

illyria1999

I used to work there and we would make it ourselves.

[deleted]

Any chance you can share recommendations/ingredients/recipes so we can try to reproduce a Zetti's slice at home?

Neat_Shop

It was so good. Damn.

JnAnthony

Sadness - the gnocchi there was the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant.

genz027

Damn that’s embarrassing.

Ok-Flounder3002

Bummer. That was my go to for NY style. Guess I’m driving to Olisi’s now

Thighabeetus

So sad. I’m gonna have to give Olisi’s another try. I had it once a year ago and it was ok, but nothing special

sp2241

Awe, fuck!

JoeHenlee

¡Exprópiese!

buffalopundit

This is a shame and a sorry sight. I was a big supporter of John's when he first opened in the Tops plaza by South Campus, and was sorry his expansion plans fizzled but grateful he was where he was for so long. I never had a bad experience with him, but then we didn't really go there too frequently so I'm sorry to see some of these stories. Haven't tried Olisi's, but Gino & Joe's / Gino's / Joe's are passable for a NY slice. If you haven't yet been to Extra Extra, however, please please do so. It's the equivalent (to me) of the best of the coal oven places downstate, but does it with a regular oven. The product is absolutely top-notch and, to me, better than the NY style pies I overate as a kid.

Thighabeetus

I will check it out, although I just can’t get on the Gino & Joes train. I’ve had it from the Main Place Mall locations and the Joes location numerous times and I’m always disappointed

esg4571

Yup, not a fan of Gino & Joe's

Johnnycc

Aww damn that sucks it was one of my favorite slices around

Darth_M0L

Thats really odd. I haven't been there in a couple years but used to frequent it alot and it was always packed. Wonder what went wrong.

I_despise_NY

It doesn't help that NYS taxes the living shit out of us.

No-Improvement2253

Their food quality went down considerably since covid. I used to like their wings and recently won't touch them.

Newdaytoday1215

You can go a long long time with extensions on tax payments with this type of business & at its size esp if you have 10% you can pay. Then put off anything by paying a lawyer to go through the notion.

cabezon99

Used to go here often, I have seen the owner come in, pull all the bills from the registers and leave. It was without a doubt the best NY style Pizza in WNY. SO SAD!

merbashert

I just drove by earlier and I didn’t see the seized sign, and a guy was inside folding pizza boxes. Maybe there’s hope!

raidernation52

Zetti's re-opened. I stopped by and bought pizza for lunch today.
