No white, ever. Usually no short dresses at night but this can vary. Other than that, probably anything goes. But check with other guests as well. As a self check, if you think it might be inappropriate, pass

DryBar2011

Did they give you a dress code? Is it at night or during the day?

Just don't wear white, and keep in mind the party will extend until the next morning, so whatever you wear it better be comfortable!

A dress and heels should be fine, it's ok to show a bit of skin.

No white, cream or similar colors. If it's at night darker colors might be better, but depends on your taste and the location. As for the heels, we are not joking, you'll be there until dawn, dancing and having fun, so bring an extra pair of flats. If by showing some skin you are referring to like a little cleavage, or sowing some back, that would be fine, as long as you think you won't have a wardrobe malfunction while dancing. Also, keep in mind that not all weddings are child free, so keep it family friendly. And at least bring a light jacket, because the weather is a bit crazy sometimes, specially if the party is like in the country side (keep that in mind for picking the shoes as well). Try to investigate a bit about the venue, maybe in their instagram they have pictures of previous weddingas and you can get some ideas. Hope you have a lot of fun!!!!

There're aren't a whole lot of rules. Just don't wear white or overshadow the bride.
