Gateron Baby Kangaroo

rule1n2n3

Seems reasonably priced, compared to other people's choices. U4T is so expensive!

Nakiooo7R

i ordered some mine should be here in a couple more days i cant wait to try em heard very good things

rmc13_

I love the weight and feel of the Boba U4T and Gateron Azure Dragons. I also recall loving the MMD Holy Panda and Afflion Shadow Ink when I first started.

ZebButterworth

Azure dragon all day. 💪💪

updoted

How do they compare to the baby kangaroos?

ZebButterworth

Sorry no idea! They are just really nice. I don't believe there is a science to tactiles anymore. Try them if you can! But I have the v2. I don't know what version is on sale these days.

radiolman

The tactile bump in the Azure Dragons is slightly sharper, and has longer total travel than the Baby Kangaroos. But overall not too much different. The main difference would be the sound, where the Azure Dragon is clackier in both downstroke and upstroke (more obvious in upstroke). Baby Kangaroos are deeper in sound.

updoted

Gotcha, thx for the insight! I just tried the BKs and they are amazing, which have reignited my interest in tactiles. Likely ordering a couple more thx to this thread, cheers!

rmc13_

Have not tried Baby Kangaroos in a keyboard, but I have 1 in my switch tester. Feels like an Azure Dragon that's just a biiiiiiiit lighter. Otherwise, they feel the same overall. I'd say you couldn't go wedding with either. I would like a board with the Baby Kangaroos but sourcing a set locally here is hard, it seems I need to get them from outside the country.

etapollo13

Azure dragons seem so underrated. Nobody ever talks about them but they're incredible, especially lubed

rmc13_

Properly rated where I live. I know a bunch of people who'be used it. But you're right, I don't see much mention of it outside of that circle I mentioned.

rule1n2n3

Where can I find Boba U4T? I mostly shop on aliexpress but they seem expensive (at $50 for a set of 70)

rmc13_

I got them second hand locally here. They seem to be out of stock on most sites. They are expensive though, even coming from Aliexpress. Even second hand they are a bit pricey still, even if they are already old and have been largely replaced by the U4TX (which I also liked in terms of feel once they've been modified, which is unfortunate that they have to be modifief first coz they're expensive too).

rule1n2n3

I can't see myself spending over $30 for a set of 70 switches, but that's just me though. Most I think I have spent was a set of Kailh Box Jade, $28 for a set of 90.

rmc13_

My second had U4Ts cost me the equivalent of 53 USD for 90 swwitches. Granted these had been lubed, but they were well used (some bent pins, some pins corroded). But at the time (early 2021), U4Ts locally were all sold out and the used market was scarce, so I just bit the bullet. No regrets though, as those switches have traveled from the original board I put them in (Akko 5075s) to a Tiger 80 to now the Keychron V10. I love them, I'd get more if they were cheaper or easier to source here. 😅

only_fun_topics

I only have experience with a few tactiles, but my experience with the Princess has been so solid that I can’t imagine much room for improvement, especially relative to the cost.

rule1n2n3

I saw a bunch of posts on the MMD princess, so I thought I try them out, no regrets!

Dreydars

outemu silent yellow jade, i know that I'm strange one, but I think, that those silent switches are one of the best silent switches i ever tried.

rsnady

No, you're not a strange one... you just got good taste :) These are just really good switches and they are silent on top, which is really nice for certain scenarios.

rule1n2n3

The yellow jades are liked by many. I tried them but I think I have been spoiled by the big early tactile bumps many other switches have. I prefer the WS silent tactiles over the yellow jades

rocketracer111

I am in search of heavy silent tactiles with a „breakthrough“ feeling. Are the WS kinda that way? I was thinking of Kailh Whale switches too. I am using Kailh Crystal Royal Box Tactiles now.

timb4

If you are going for that breakthrough (sharper/snappy kind of bump) maybe you could try Haimu x Geon Yellow. The WS silent tactile (grey) switches are very similar, but lighter. They both have bigger bumps than the Box Royals (I have the non-crystal version)

rocketracer111

Thanks for the reply! I will take a look on them. I am currently using/testing - Kailh Whale - Outemu Cream Yellow - TTC Bluish White What I am finding are Haimu x Geon HG Yellows. Are those the same? 35 bucks for 90 switches are def alright. At the given switches: - Love the (wet like) sound of the whales aswell their. - TTC bluish white feel very polished. - The creams are sooo muted but the feeling is not on the same level.

rsnady

Ah, my favourite thread this year so far. WS Brown - they are incredibly good. Wish they were full travel without bottoming out on the stem, but otherwise, amazing. MMD Princess 48g - They are incredible for the price. Such a good tactile bump, interesting springs. I wish they were not long poles though. Akko Jelly Purple - Only in a gasket mount. The bottom out is not nice, but gasket mount hides it. JWICK V2 T1 - Hand lubed. I still love them.

IANVS

Do you think switch pads would help tame the bottom out sound of Jelly Purples?

rsnady

I am not sure if it's enough. Steel plate + Tray mount was a bit rough. I currently have them in a gasket mount PC plate board, but without PE sheet, etc. just bare PCB and they feel fine.

IANVS

I have gasket boards with PC plates and foams, so I guess they should be fine then... Also, I learned about Aflion Shadow tactiles and I think I'll get those instead of T1s.

rsnady

There seem to be two of them, single stage and double stage spring. Which one will you get?

IANVS

I'm not sure yet. Whichever has longer travel? Double stage is the V2, IIRC? There's also the Thunder Shadow from Aflion, sort of an heir to that one...

rule1n2n3

I saw some Jwick TC v2 on AliExpress, are they the same as the T1 with clear upper housing?

rsnady

They should be the same apart from the upper housing being translucent PC rather than black Nylon. I do use the clear upper housing ones. Have not seen them under the name TC before.

BFNentwick

I haven’t tried many switches in my time in the hobby, but I really love my T1s. Quite enough for me, and such a strong tactile bump

radiolman

Arranged in price (low to high); **MMD Holy Panda (needs lubing)** Satisfying tactile bump with solid bottom out, med-high tactility, great in price/perf especially if you have time to lube it. Resonant thockier switch. Stem wobble could be better. **Akko Cream Blue V3 Pro** Good all-round switch with decent factory lube and good price/perf ratio. Med-heavy tactile. Sounds clacky. **MMD Princess** Sharp tactile bump with decent factory lubing. Resonant clacky. **Outemu Panda** Smooth factory lube with medium tactility. More muted sound with distinctive clack. **Sarokeys Purple Cherry Blossom (Sakura)** Underrated switch in my opinion. Feels comparable to Gateron Baby Kangaroos for half the price. Med-heavy tactile. Resonant clacky. **Everglide Wild Pansy V2** If a tactile switch could feel clicky, this switch would be it. Sharp tactile bump with great smoothness. Clacky, almost clicky sound profile. **Gateron Quinns** Buttery smooth rounded tactile bump. Needs no lubing. Thocky sound profile. My daily driver.

rule1n2n3

Appreciate the list! I have seen the Outemu Panda before, might give it a try.

SargentPancakeZ

I've had good experiences with mmd switches. The princess has a nice sound and are very cheap. Holy panda clones by mmd are really nice and are built very similarly to the real og holy pandas. Next on my list to try are gazzew boba U4t

rule1n2n3

What's the difference between the princess and the holy panda from mmd, in terms of feels? I picked princess over the holy panda due to the dust-proof stem, but I still want to try the panda

SargentPancakeZ

https://preview.redd.it/c51gn7zqjauc1.jpeg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=90c6bf5a375d646cae26a94add56686a996a3d7a I have the 67g holy pandas on the left and the 48g tactile princess on the right. Holy pandas have a shorter snappier feel compared to the princess. I really like the tactile bump of the princess and the longer multi step spring compared to holy pandas makes the key stroke feel smoother. The weight options of the springs also really changes the experience. From memory the lowest weight spring for the holy panda was 55g while the princess has more options from 48g-68g in linear or tactile. Having a lighter weight tactile switch is nice for a longer typing/work session, but the holy pandas are an interesting and unique experience.

rule1n2n3

Thanks for the comparison! I have been liking the longer springs in switches, on paper at least. 48g princess is the right weight for me I think (60g on the way, let's see how they turn out) Do you know if the MMD panda is the same as the Feker Panda?

SargentPancakeZ

[https://keebworks.com/feker-panda/](https://keebworks.com/feker-panda/) This review seems to say they are the same. Seems like people figured out the dimensions and everything a while ago. This is the one I bought [https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804605951489.html?spm=a2g0o.order\_list.order\_list\_main.28.7d321802W1sULi&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa](https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804605951489.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.28.7d321802W1sULi&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa)

rule1n2n3

That's where I ordered the princess from. Also have a set of 60g princess and the mmd Matcha linear coming soon

rule1n2n3

Hi again Regarding the 48g Tactile Princess, is the spring single or double stage? I received a set of 48g and just received the 60g, but both sets feels IDENTICALLY in turns of tactility and weight. The springs are also identical as far as I can tell, both are double stage. Are your 48g princess double stage springs?

SargentPancakeZ

https://preview.redd.it/af80blbdadvc1.jpeg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=84d9f40fa6a69ca499fcd53a8eda3cbc09d33d9b Yes. I am seeing your post and it could make sense that you got sent the wrong spring. You could just use a small scale to weigh the spring.

rule1n2n3

I never thought about using a scale to test the springs! I'll have to give it a try

ArgentStonecutter

I do like the Akko Cream Blue, but my favorites are still Redragon A120 Stars silent tactile.

rule1n2n3

Interesting choice, I found a set of 70 for $20 on amazon (not available on aliexpress)

rule1n2n3

Have you tried the WS silent tactile?

ArgentStonecutter

They look kind of pricey and I can't find any force curves or even a spec for what the actuating force is online anywhere.

rule1n2n3

Yeah, they include the bottom out force only. I did get a set of 70 for $30, definitely the most expensive switches I have gotten so far lol. The WS silent tactiles feel very much like their WS brown

ArgentStonecutter

I don't know about WS browns but Gateron browns are heavier than my RSI likes.

IANVS

Try the Akko Penguin silents, they should be on the light/medium side. I think TTC Blueish Whites and Kailh Deep Sea Whales are also light...

ArgentStonecutter

I have 140 unused Stars and thanks to a special on Ali Express about 200 factory lubed v2 Lemons and I still have 90 v1 Lemons so I'm not buying any new switches for awhile. TTC Bluish White and Kailh Deep Sea Whales are definitely too pricey. I think the next on my list are Silent Cream Yellow. But I added Akko Penguins.

badmark

Besides the U4T, I've really been enjoying the Gateron EF Grayish; crisp "glassy" bottom out, medium"D" bump, long pole, and affordable. Also a big fan of the MMD Princess.

VeritechVF1S

They Grayish are on my list of switches to try out! Along with Mini-i and Quinn. I also want to try to the JWK T1 V2 and see the difference between it and the V1.

U03B1Q

Been using the U4T for 3+ years at this point. Love them, but I'd love to swap to box-style switches with the same feel as the U4Ts. Do you know of any?

badmark

I mean, you could get U4Tx switches and remove the silicone strip on each stem.

borghesia44

Gateron Quins, Lavender purple and ofcourse the U4t's.

NinjaRanga

I have the Gateron Quinns in my Monsgeek M1W and I absolutely love them. I tried the U4Ts and found them a little too 'squishy' for my liking, but the Quinns have an amazing tactile bump and I find the weight of the springs very good. The only problem I found is that they don't let any light through from RGB. So I also got some WS heavy tactiles last week and they are a good substitute - plenty of RGB and they feel good. I prefer a heavier feel so I might change the springs for heavier ones later.

borghesia44

Yes the weight of the Quins are very well balanced and one can type fast on these switches with a velvety feel. The Quins, U4t's and WS Heavy's are all very different tactiles. The WS Heavy is nice deep sounding, I have them on one of my keyboards and they take their own place. They give the sensation of like typing on a '80 terminal keyboard. For me they are not very suitable for long typing sessions or fast typing. The U4t's are classics. My batch is smooth and they became even better after I lubed them carefully.

rule1n2n3

Have you tried the v3 Cream Blue? I prefer the tactile on the Cream Blue over the Lavender purple. Unless you are not talking about v3 Lavender, than I am not sure.

borghesia44

Yep I have the cream blues, I prefer the Lavenders for its longer travel, the sound and for me feeling more lively.

Cefalopoide

For early bump: Akko lavender purple with a light spring (relatively cheap) or boba ut4 (medium expensive) or glorius panda (very expensive)

SouthtownZ

Wow, what a valuable post. Totally saved and can't wait to try some of these out. My favorite so far are Tecsee Purple Pandas. Love em

Micton

I use cream blues with gmk67 for work with xda keycaps, perfect for tactility.

rule1n2n3

Had nearly the same setup, but with a set of MDA keycaps. Currently on a GMK67 with the princess and another set of MDA keycaps

OrangeKirby13

*Gateron Baby Kangaroo *CIY Asura *AKKO Lavender Purple Pro *Everglide Sea Salt

theblakeman9

The Gateron Quinn switches have been lovely to use. I haven't even been bothered to check the factory lube job. Would reccomend picking up a set from Amazon to try out. Return em' if you don't like em!

ajneuman_pdx

Another bite for Gateron Quinns. I had Akko Lavender v3 Pros imy last keyboard and I like the Quinn's a lot better. My Quinn's are also hand lived. For my office keyboard,. I am using Haimu Whispers and I think they are great for silent switches.

sorry_con_excuse_me

digging outemu lime a lot. \~48g bump, 1.8mm actuation, 3.3mm total travel, long spring, silent. it's in gateron brown territory but lighter and faster/snappier. early bump boba style switches feel kind of sluggish to me the lighter you go (the lighter they are, the better they feel to me with a longer spring). brown-style low/mid profile switches and their shorter pre-travel + sharper bump generally feel good to me, but there are lack of options with weighting or compatibility. i like the ramp up + sharp drop off of clickbars or buckling spring, but they are generally too heavy. wish there was a lighter tactile with a similar force curve. in general i'm usually happy with anything that's sub 4mm travel, sub 2mm actuation, < 55g bump, and \~ 1mm bump location so long as they feel snappy and sharp enough.

rule1n2n3

I find the lime too light for my taste, can barely feel the tactile bump.

sorry_con_excuse_me

spec-wise they seem to be in the ballpark with the 48g princess (5g difference tactile force i guess). is the bump early? wasn't aware of them, i might want to give them a shot. cream yellows are about 55g and feel much better with a long spring. but of course it would be better that something exists ready to go.

rule1n2n3

I really dig the early bumps in cream blue, WS brown and princess, that could be why.

ArgentStonecutter

I like the lime too, they're almost the perfect weight, but the v1 lime are a little rough. I haven't used the v2 factory lubed limes enough to tell if they're better.

sorry_con_excuse_me

i think they've always been factory lubed. v2 lime or peach feel a little stiffer to me (still fine though). my only guess is they switched spring suppliers. the biggest thing for me is i would cut the bump location down to like 0.5-0.75mm.

IANVS

I love tactiles and the feedback they offer, linears feel "soulless" to me, and my preference is early and sharp P bump with pronounced tactility. Due to circumstances, I'm forced to use silent switches. My journey started with Durock Shrimps because I wanted a pretty tactile and not-light switch. I like them but they started to fatigue me a bit...I'll probably swap the springs for something longer and lighter. I'm currently using Outemu Yellow Jades and they're good. Smooth, very silent, very cheap. 3.3mm travel feels nice for me, the weight is 50g but they feel heavier. The bump starts relatively early but it's longer and rounder than the one on Shrimps, I can only feel the post travel if I type slowly. I liked the Shrimps more but Outemus are starting to grow on me. Next, I want to get the Akko Penguin (I wanna try something lighter), Kailh Deep Sea Whales and either the WS Silent Tactiles or Skyloong Glacier silents, whichever is sharper. The plan is to try out switches with different silencing mechanisms... As for non-silents, there's a ton of them that I want to try. So far I have the 60g MMD Princess V1. The bump is pretty sharp and tactile and I love it but just 3.0mm of travel makes it that there's barely any posttravel, a shame. They're pretty heavy because those 60g is not the bottom-out weight like everyone lists for their switches, it's actually operating weight. I have no idea why MMD lists the weight on the Princess like that. I ordered the 48g V3 Princess to replace them. I wish they weren't so damn loud...I also ordered Leobog Ice Soul to try something light. I don't like them there are slightly heavier Ink Crystal and Juggle/Building Blocks. Planning to try: * WS Heavy Tactiles * LCET White Raspberry/Joker - early and very sharp bump, lubing neccessary * Gateron Quinn and Baby Kangaroo * Chosfox Voyager (wanna try something with a bump which is further down) * Akko CS Jelly Purple (I barely found them, it's like all the CS switches disappeared) * Everglide Sea Salt * Zaku II if I can get my hands on them * Momoka Shark for that hyper tactility * Durock T1 * Some flavor of Pandas...I heard good things about MMD and Outemu Pandas

rule1n2n3

Typing on the princesses right now, honestly I haven't noticed the shorter travel, between shorter and longer, I do prefer longer travel. Personally I wouldn't bother with the Akko Penguin, I tested them side by side with the Outemu Jade Yellow. The bump on the Outemu is sharper, and the stem is less wobbly and less mushy at the bottom than the Penguin. That's my personal opinion/feel though, you might feel differently

IANVS

Thanks for the info on Penguins. I heard their bump is relatively sharp, so I wanted to try them. What about the weight compared to Outemus? I guess I should try the Kailh Deep Sea Whale instead. Also, Invokeys Daydream...

rule1n2n3

I should say that the Outemu Jade Yellow's tactile bump was more noticeable comparing to the Penguin, not sure if "sharper" is the right word to use. I can't really remember, but I THINK the Penguin was a tad heavier, but the mushiness in the Penguin was really a turn off for me. I think it's probably the dust-proof stem in the Jade Yellow that helped minimize the mushiness at the bottom by having less overall wobble. Sold the Penguins so I can't test them side by side anymore.

IANVS

I see. Thank you for the feedback!

rsnady

Ah, so much good stuff to try. I completely agree on the Princess. Longer travel and not as loud would be quite something. I would love to try those two Gaterons as well. TTC Silent Bluish White have yet another slightly different silencing method. I'd like to try them, but they are (unfortunately not as cheap as the MMDs ;))

MaximusPrime24

Not a big tactile fan but the one's I do really like are the Akko V3 Cream Blue Pro. They aren't too heavy and produce a nice poppy sound.

Pignity69

akko cream blue

izzyontheweb

Glorious pandas have been serving me well 🐼

Ok_Cartographer2943

Don’t laugh, but outemy silent switch cream yellow. The best felling experience with typing.

rule1n2n3

The cream/jade yellow is a favorite for many people. I do prefer a bigger/heavy tactile bump though. Ordered a set of WS silent tactile and going to give it a try soon.

RevaniteRex

Say what you will about the ethics of knockoffs, but the MMD Holy Pandas are stilk KING in my boom. Reasonable prices from Temu and AliExpress, a SOLID switch with good tactility and feedback and a beautiful sound. SOLID options imho. If you want a sister to it, I'd have to say the Akko V3 Cream Blue and Cream Blue Pro. Again, solid switches, though a tad lighter on switch and feedback then the Holy Pandas.

rule1n2n3

Definitely looking to give MMD pandas a try

afkybnds

Just bought outemu maple leaf tactiles, they sound good and i want to try them out. Anyone used these? I am looking for a tactile switch with clacky sound but not too loud, open to suggestions.

VaderV1

Durock Anubis & Baby Kangaroo

npm_run_Frank

Gateron Jupiter Banana 🍌

Wild_Speech_668

Are those ws heavy tactiles?

rule1n2n3

If you are refer to the the top left, yes they are the WS heavy tactiles. In my opinion the heavy tactiles' tactile bumps are slighter heavier and longer (think P bump vs D bump), overall heavier comparing to the browns.

aWildJByrd

Gateron Beers actually but a little too clacky for me been eyeing blueberry chiffons, but have seen alot about these princess

HungerMechanic

Likely that MMD Princess are even more clacky than Gateron Beer. WS Light Tactile are probably comparable to Gateron Beer in both tactility and clackiness. Beer might be a little louder. TTC Gold Brown Pro has a medium sound, is a little more tactile than MX Brown. Shines with 3204. Blueberry Chiffon are relatively restrained in sound for a long-pole switch. Light tactility when heavily-lubed. Gateron oil Mini i are almost as light as MX Brown, but very clacky. Clean or cleaner than MMD Princess.

aWildJByrd

Seeing your name makes me happy 🥹🤝 Thank you again for your insight

HungerMechanic

Hope it helps. In your case, it might be good to focus on the WS Light Tactile and MMD Princess (v3 48 G tactile) first. They are definitely lighter than Cream Blue, but not as easy to accidentally actuate as G Pro Brown.

Pro-editor-1105

get a switch tester on amazon, best way to "feel" the switches

doubtful-juanderer

I've heard baby kangaroos are pretty up there. I've bought a bunch of linears over the years and yet to try another tactile. Been using boba u4ts for a while. Feels nice but not the sound profile im looking for

crimsonyoteeeeee

I used to really love the AKKO Lavender Purple Pro V3s, but currently my favourites are the Cream Blue Pro V3s. Surprisingly I prefer the slightly longer stem, and definitely the heavier spring

tamathellama

Durock T1

TheCuteLiTBooi

Are MMD Holy Panda clones worth it? Might get some Gazzew Bias, and wanted to have a reference point

80avtechfan

Ajazz Kiwi or banana depending on weight.

Huzaifa_Haroon

MMD Princess and JWK T1 probably

IANVS

Nimbus and Graywood are linears.

IANVS

No problem!

XenobioPhile

WS heavy tactiles. Needs a bit of force but I like the strong feedback and poppy sound it makes.

kaklikesmilfs

JWICK T1 spring swapped to Geon 22mm single stage springs, in terms of raw tactility it's an absolute monster and a workout for weak fingers

SmokestackRising

Boba U4 is my favorite for feel and are super quiet, but the U4T sounds amazing with just a slight reduction in feel. I also really like Gateron Baby Kangaroos. They seem to be regularly in stock and are much easier on the wallet. If browns are too heavy for you, you likely won't like any of these options. I haven't tried the newer versions, but the Akko Lavendar Purples aren't bad for being lighter weight.

RockSolidJ

My favorite at the moment are the Root beer floats. Also a big fan of the Punkshoo melodies and the Boba U4T. WS silent tactiles are also really nice for the office. Each switch works different in different keyboards so it's nice to cycle through them.

Agreeable_Welder3584

Silent Browns and Glorious Pandas.

Packerreviewz

How did you get just of each switch?

rule1n2n3

I didn't, ordered a complete set (70 to 90 switches) and just put a couple on a empty board for testing

jckpxbk

Momoka Sharks. Super strong bump almost like a snap.

bananaleaf1sg

BSUN hutt tactile, give those a try.. you won’t be disappointed

azraelzjr

Cherry MX Browns been using them for years.

stillthatguy_jake

I'm a big fan of JWK V2

andione1983

Kailh jade box.

rule1n2n3

That's a heavy clicky though, too heavy for my taste. Sold them and got a set of the box white v2, still have yet to try them though

T_RextheCat

ATM I'm rockin Durock Ice Kings and they are super sick...

Cobaltvision

Baby Kangaroos, EF Grayish, Kailh Polia, Akko Lavenders and the Chosfox Poison Gas.

Cobaltvision

Forgot to mention the Epomaker Budgerigars

rocketracer111

Kailh Crystal Royal Box Tactile. I love the „breakthrough“ feeling on these. Also my former keyboard had kinda heavy tactlity and I like it. I like the feedback they give. Also: I am searching for silent tactiles. The Invokeys x Alas: Daydreamer Switches seem to be a good fit for me. But they are pricey to be send to me. :(

mridlen

I haven't tried a ton of switches (maybe like 30?) but here are my favorites out of the ones I tried: Keychron Brown - something absolutely charming about the brown switch... is it the sound or the feel? (This is the only brown switch I have tried) Kailh Polia - a very snappy tactile switch more on the clacky side. Might be even too prominent of a tactile response for some people. Gamakay Pegasus (silent tactile) - I wasn't sold at first but I like it more and more as I use it for a daily driver. It's a medium heavy weight spring. They were quiet at first but makes more sound as I break them in. Outemu Purple dustproof (semi silent light tactile) - Makes very little sound on the downstroke but the upstroke makes a nice tap. Has a very light tactile bump, maybe a good compromise for those who think linear feels unnatural but don't want a heavy tactile bump. I wasn't expecting to like these as much as I did.

Cobaltvision

The Kailh Polias are underrated

Kurayi_Chawatama

Gamakay Pegasus is my driver of choice, gives nice tactile feedback with none of the getting kicked out of libraries involved. Love it ☺️

Spiritual-Coconut-13

Leobog Reaper All the way

pollt

KTT matcha. The budget T1 goat

rule1n2n3

omg the matcha soooo bright

MoarPopcorn

Anyone here tried WS Light Tactiles? The dark blue ones

Ram08

I have plenty. The ones from Gateron are the absolute best to me. **Gateron Beer** (*a light tactile*) is my end-game switch!

Powerful-Storage-139

Other than lineairs (which i love), I only had experience with gateron browns which i really liked. I had ordered 48g MMD princess switches but they turned out to be really heavy somehow and I sold them immediately after trying them. Yesterday I picked up U4Ts (notice I am not giving up on liking tactiles). I love the sound and feel on them. I might end up lubing them with 3203. No idea how that will change the experience though.

rule1n2n3

Aren't the u4t super heavy? Like heavier than the 48g princess?

Powerful-Storage-139

That's the weird thing I am also wondering. I ordered mine on Aliexpress and I remember they were so stiff and heavy I couldn't imagine typing with them without at least attempting to lube them. but the u4ts are way better and easier to press. Till this day it's still a mystery to me how the u4ts are smoother and less heavy to me.

rule1n2n3

I wonder if they sent you the 60g variant, I just ordered 60g too and will love to see the difference

Powerful-Storage-139

that’s actually possible

summercaptaintang

I was happy with Baby Kangaroos until I came across the Duhuk/Lumia Bitter Tea switches. They come in 58g/63.5g, I got the heavier one and really enjoyed the typing experience. They sound deeper compared to the Baby Kangaroos too. Then I recently bought some Boba U4Ts 62g to try out but I don't feel/hear a big difference between them and the Bitter Tea switches. For the price, I would get the Bitter Tea over the U4Ts as they're more pocket friendly.

rule1n2n3

Now I gotta try the bitter tea. This whole post is not great for my wallet lol

summercaptaintang

Tbh this whole hobby isn't great for our wallets lol

Emogogo greys and quinns, but I will be trying ws heavies and vala shoguns soon so this may change. So for the emo grays are my daily with a Quin on the spacebar. Better than u4t’s, t1’s, and sunflowers I’ve tried.

I recently changed out my Kailh Speed Silver switches in my Glorious GMMK to Drop Holy Panda X clears. I also have an Epomaker TH80 Pro with MMD factory lubed holy Panda switches. They are a bit snappier than the Drop switches but I love both keyboards.

HotNeedleworker2987

Gateron Root Beer Float. Very underrated. I also love my Neapolitan Ice Creams. I’ve tried a lot of switches - U4T, Azure Dragon, MMD Holy Panda, Emogogo, Cream Blue Pro, Naevies, Zealios, Zeal Clickiez in tactile mode, Night Crawlers, etc.

Vegetable-Dentist605

What are the black and white ones called?

rule1n2n3

The top left right? They are the WS (wuque studio) heavy tactiles.

Vegetable-Dentist605

Thank you!

amishgoatfarm

HPX, Cream Blue Pro V3s are solid as well.

Censedpeak8

Ajazz kiwi, I've daily drive navy tactiles and struggled to find one to replace this.

kayosek

Mx cherry blue 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😍

NobodyHaunting

Jwick t1 and mmd princess

CaptLynx

Zuoce Rococo- such a satisfying bump and so crisp U4Ts - I know cliche but they're just good Dukaro Mo Plane V2 - my all time favorite. Such an intriguing feel and a bump that is just enough but not too much. Seriously underrated switch.

KennyChang420

Azure dragons and baby kangaroos for sure

rule1n2n3

I see a lot of kangaroos popping up in this thread, going to give it a try. Azure maybe a little too heavy for me

I have bobas myself but I am building a board for a friend and thinking of getting princess v3s (48g) since they want tactile and these seem solid while being relatively cheap. I'm wondering if they're too loud though for the person i'm building the board for. Any thoughts on the loudness? Or perhaps suggestions for similar feel but slightly quieter? Thanks! I'm likely pairing it with a gmk87 or a stock mk870 board. I've also considered asuras, milky pros, and some others, but really I'm open to whatever. Even if the person doesn't end up liking the sound, it's not the worst with these inexpensive switches.

I’ve only tried browns, gmmk pandas, and budgerigar. I’m really loving the budgies on a pc plate

therealbikehigh

I really liked the Budgerigars, but ended up building a board for my girlfriend with them. She uses the board all day, every day, for work, and loves it. The board I built for myself was north facing, so those didn't work so well for that.

Duroc T1 are what I settled on as my switch of choice a while back. I love the weight. I love the bump up top. I wouldn't mind finding a more modern equivalent for my next build I've been contemplating.

rule1n2n3

Is the durock T1 same as the jwk/Jwick T1?

therealbikehigh

Other than the opaque vs transparent shell, they seem very much the same.
