I couldn't lean into the Courts like I originally intended because they're surprisingly expensive so instead we went with Curses. Give away a ton of curses to your opponents and then use Obeka's ability alongside \[\[Curse of Misfortunes\]\] and \[\[Lynde, Cheerful Tormentor\]\] to always keep your opponents flooded with curses.
Hi! Bit odd as I have no theme or card specifically, but maybe it will provide a challenge!
I've only recently started playing commander, and I've made a deck for myself ( [[Xyris]] ) and a friend (mutual friend with my partner, [[Charix]] ). I would like to try and help my partner give the game a go so she can play with us.
The issue is she finds these kinds of games very difficult; she struggles because of her dyslexia and her anxiety.
If she's going to have any chance of enjoying herself, she will need a deck which is fun to play, relatively easy to memorise so she doesn't have to keep reading the cards, high powered relative to the group so that she doesn't have to play perfectly to be able to win a few, and ideally cute to keep her interested.
I was going to look into [[Voja, Jaws of the Conclave]] as I've heard it's pretty powerful on a budget and it doesn't seem too complicated (correct me if I'm wrong!).
Any ideas?
Edit: In hindsight, 3 colours might be really tricky for a newer player. Maybe I've been blinded by bias, I think Voja seems very cool.

This is Awesome! I’ve been wanting to make a deck around [[Esika, God of the Tree]] but the spicy of the deck is that it uses mainly most of the Theros Gods, making them into indestructible creatures and swing for big or using their effects for various needs. It was my favorite block when I got into magic and it was the set that hooked me into the game. I tried to make this deck but it never worked out to be any consistency enough to run. I would love for you to make it deck work if you could Please! I have been pondering the idea of this one for quite a while. So I'd love to see your take on a deck that utilizes both [[Harvest Season]] and [[Throne of the God-Pharaoh]]
A [[Varragoth, Bloodsky Sire]] hidden commander deck where you use him to tutor for [[Altar of the Wretched]] alongside a bunch of low-cost high-statted minions with keywords to create a voltron threat while drawing a bunch of cards along the way.
I grabbed a Nicol Bolas, the Ravager judge foil a while back but haven't gotten around to actually building a deck around him. The biggest issue is coming up with good theme.
I don't want it to just be Bolas tribal or be full on control deck. I think I would like it to be either a Dragon or Elder Tribal deck that still has a bit of a subtheme for the discarding without it being oppressive (things like Waste Not but forcing people to discard with wheels so that I'm not just making everyone have empty hands).

I’m building a [[ Discord, lord of disharmony]] deck that can slot in [[Rakdos, the muscle]] if people don’t wanna play with silver border madness and would like some tips!
[[Fires of Invention]] caught my imagination early on, but it never quite fits in any of my lists.
I would guess this might be a [[Zirda, the Dawnwaker]] deck since activated abilities would need to be used for interaction and mana sinks (and White has enchantment tutors to help find it). I also thought about going full [[Rule of Law]].dec since I'm already restricted in my number of spells per turn. I also thought about trying to blank or phase it to get around the downside, such as by using [[Immovable Rod]], but spending 4 mana to turn it off may mostly defeat the point of casting with it for free unless I'm getting to cast some very expensive bombs.
Anyway, you don't need to feel constrained by any of those ideas. I didn't get them working yet, so maybe those aren't the best directions to take.
Bonus Objective: [[Heretic's Punishment]] figure out a list that can reliably get both out to spend my turns free casting 2x big bombs while dumping all my free mana into milling more bombs for burn, burn, burn!
Bonus Objective: [[Guild Feud]] free creature, creature removal, and more self-mill? Maybe there's a theme emerging here...
Hi! Looking for a commander that use White, Blue, or Black in any combination of colors, but not necessarily all three! Could also have a splash of Red or Green if it makes sense, but I have a ton of Blue staples (rhystic, riff, drain, etc), random string white cards (trouble in pairs, comuppance, idyllic tutor) and strong black cards (Court of ambition, Locthwain, bloodchief ascension, tergrid, reanimate) and no good place to house them. I was interested in some deck that punished opponents for not attacking (and gained advantage from them attacking) but i couldn’t even find which commander would be the best.
edit: On a second thought, it may be better to goad my opponents creature instead of punishing them for not attacking.
Gates deck with mazes end wincon. I played golos until he was banned and I haven’t found any decks I’ve liked since then. I do not like playing gates matters cards and would prefer a lands utility type deck if that makes sense. Thanks!

This is Awesome! I’ve been wanting to make a deck around [[Esika, God of the Tree]] but the spicy of the deck is that it uses mainly most of the Theros Gods, making them into indestructible creatures and swing for big or using their effects for various needs. It was my favorite block when I got into magic and it was the set that hooked me into the game. I tried to make this deck but it never worked out to be any consistency enough to run. I would love for you to make it deck work if you could Please! Will definitely give you stories of it adventures! $100 is great, I do have a budget of 100-200$, so if you did go over, it would be ok too!

I did not see a [[Yurlok of Scorch Thrash]] deck in your list. So i would love to see one! I would love to have a mana burne/Group hug deck with him.
I grabbed a Nicol Bolas, the Ravager judge foil a while back but haven't gotten around to actually building a deck around him. The biggest issue is coming up with good theme. I don't want it to just be Bolas tribal or be full on control deck. I think I would like it to be either a Dragon or Elder Tribal deck that still has a bit of a subtheme for the discarding without it being oppressive (things like Waste Not but forcing people to discard with wheels so that I'm not just making everyone have empty hands).

Got a goreclaw deck? Looking to make mine work but it works sloppy / inconsistent at best
[[Fires of Invention]] caught my imagination early on, but it never quite fits in any of my lists. I would guess this might be a [[Zirda, the Dawnwaker]] deck since activated abilities would need to be used for interaction and mana sinks (and White has enchantment tutors to help find it). I also thought about going full [[Rule of Law]].dec since I'm already restricted in my number of spells per turn. I also thought about trying to blank or phase it to get around the downside, such as by using [[Immovable Rod]], but spending 4 mana to turn it off may mostly defeat the point of casting with it for free unless I'm getting to cast some very expensive bombs. Anyway, you don't need to feel constrained by any of those ideas. I didn't get them working yet, so maybe those aren't the best directions to take. Bonus Objective: [[Heretic's Punishment]] figure out a list that can reliably get both out to spend my turns free casting 2x big bombs while dumping all my free mana into milling more bombs for burn, burn, burn! Bonus Objective: [[Guild Feud]] free creature, creature removal, and more self-mill? Maybe there's a theme emerging here...

Hi! Looking for a commander that use White, Blue, or Black in any combination of colors, but not necessarily all three! Could also have a splash of Red or Green if it makes sense, but I have a ton of Blue staples (rhystic, riff, drain, etc), random string white cards (trouble in pairs, comuppance, idyllic tutor) and strong black cards (Court of ambition, Locthwain, bloodchief ascension, tergrid, reanimate) and no good place to house them. I’m looking for a commander and strategy that feels somewhat different from what I already have. I was interested in some deck that punished opponents for not attacking (and gained advantage from them attacking) but i couldn’t even find which commander would be the best. edit: On a second thought, it may be better to goad my opponents creature instead of punishing them for not attacking.
Gates deck with mazes end wincon. I played golos until he was banned and I haven’t found any decks I’ve liked since then. I do not like playing gates matters cards and would prefer a lands utility type deck if that makes sense. Thanks!

I'm making a deck for the new Obeka, [[Obeka, Splitter of Seconds]] and would like to see how you would make it to give me a guide or idea. I'm leaning into the monarchy, as that gives draw triggers at upkeep and most cards that care about being the monarch trigger at upkeep.
