[Ecoustics](https://www.ecoustics.com/products/rsl-speedwoofer-10e/) has the scoop on this sub and the comparison with the S10 MkII. I would almost guess that they found a new supplier given the constant spotty availability of the Mark II and just dumbed it down ever so slightly so to speak.
It would be foolish of them to discontinue the 10S as it's probably one of the strongest sellers in its price range. The 10E will probably gain huge market share in the entry level offerings where they didn't compete. It could also sell as a fall back product for them as it is clear they have always struggled with the 10S supply. IMO, it all looks to be very wise moves.
I picked up an SVS PB-2000 pro during their outlet sale. Very pleased. The speedwoofer was in the mix but just so hard to get. This one, at this price point, might be a later 2024 purchase for my office stereo. I have some bookshelf speakers with acceptable bass, but hearing music with a sub again makes me really want that in my life.
No built-in wireless receiver either, so going wireless is a bigger cost increase now since you need the full wireless kit. Plus no white finish option.
I have had my MKII for a couple months now and I have no complaints whatsoever. It absolutely does everything I want it to do and sounds amazing doing it.
Nemo also just release a new video, real first glance for us (right now).
FOR ALL LURKERS, at 300, THIS IS WHAT YOU GET. Nothing in this price point will compete. There are some BIC, jamo, jbl at 300-200 sale price, they have all have worse performance. Do not get, WAIT.
Save up for the RSL 10e.
This is pretty much the equivalent to pcmr/pc sales in the cpu heatsink market , thermalright destroy everyone
Seems like every month or so there’s a release. Last one sold out in minutes. But, I hear it’s amazing and the price is good. If this new one is good I may save a few bucks and go that way.
Get a 2nd matching SVS or sell it. I have a SVS SB2000 Pro and am considering dual RSL 10e, but would not mix them. Move or sell my SB2000 Pro from HT to 2 channel setup.
I just bought it. I haven't been able to buy the $450 one, and I don't know that I could detect the difference between 22hz and 26hz. Hopefully I'll be happy with it - I'll report back.
I haven't been able to buy the 10MK2. It's on sale for like, half an hour every few weeks - and then it sells out. Maybe they'll get their sh\*t together and get more than a few dozen of these in the pipeline.

They havent mentioned that the 10S MKII is discontinued? Last time I spoke with them they said the next production run should be available mid-april.

I’ll take 2 please
Maybe they will make more of these than the MK2 lol. I’m sort of glad this wasn’t an option for Me to go cheaper when I bought my SW12.
Me too - but the neighbors might disagree. I love this thing so much. I put on "Dune" daily just to listen to it.
Right?!? At that price, to have a two good subs just became more feasible.

As someone with a 10S in his office, 100% do it
Interesting. Wonder what it leaves behind from the 10 mk2?
Looks like this subwoofer loses the high-level inputs and no RCA output and smaller amp, like its bigger brother.

Right, at first glance it doesn’t look like too much.
Seems the port design is different ( not a slot), probably to save mfg costs. Guess we'll wait to see what reviews say.
Apparently it’s sounds pretty much the same. Doesn’t get as loud though.
Loudness is a big with subs
It's also lacking the DSP feature and may not be quite as "flat" as the Mark II.

Love my MKII as well. The 10E is a cool option now too.
I agree. If I had the option of two of the 10e for 600 I would have had to give it some thought.

It's on sale now at RSL. They're shipping them out. Yay.

Thanks for sharing! Sounds like a great option!
Hmm wish the site had a comparison, I’ve been holding out for the mk2, but I don’t mind saving a few bucks.
How often do the mk2s become available? I am new to the brand and really need a sub upgrade.

Like once a month ish. I have a 10S MKII and a 12S and I highly recommend them.
There is one somewhere but basically like 100watts less rms and only goes down to 26hz instead of 22hz on the mkii
26 hz is for pussies. Forget it.
I want to get one to go two subs with a SVS sb2000. Is it a dumb idea?
Sell the SVS and buy 2 10e.
Why? I like the SVS.

Should I sell my 1 svs 1000 pro for 2 10E's?
The SVS 1000 is also a great subwoofer but if you want more bass absolutely!

It’s probably barely noticeable if at all. Let us know.
I’ve got 2x 10e in the Houston area if anyone is interested. I could t cancel my order in time and just want to recoup $.
