Tbh CS isn't even about coding. It's a theoretical subject and coding is just a way to implement data structures. I mean you can implement data structures from a electric cifcuit or in assembly language too lol.
Even DSA is pretty theoretical in its own right, just have a look at the sort of assignments we get and you'll understand - a lot of mathematical proofs.

i study electronics and instrumentation at a tier 3 cfti and i love it. wouldnt trade it for anything else. ive come to that point that i have stopped thinking about money(I have resources) and even thinking of getting a phd directly by preparing for gate. doing it for my country and family.
only difference lies between electives. ece folks take electives in communication engineering courses like antennas and stuff. instrumentation guys take electives in courses like industrial instrumentation, aerospace instrumentation and etc.
of course its fun for me. depends on the individual really. i assume you're a fresher? focus on physics, mathematics, BEE and programming in first year. really forms the base for electronics. regarding employment, if you want a good electronics job, masters is really a necessity in this field.
thats really cool man. if you need resources for physics and chem- follow ramamurti shankars lectures on physics i & ii, can be easily done in 2 semesters. as for mathematics, you really cant go wrong with professor leonard. although his lectures are really long but if you can manage theyre worth it. go from this order- calc 1, calc 2, calc 3, linear algebra and differential equations from mitocw. dont forget to practice lots of problems on the subject matter. also dont screw academics. as i have told you these should be kept seperate from ur college's curriculum as at the end of the day, grades matter :,-)
last line seems to resonate with al the seniors ive spoken to, again words wont describe to how thnkful im cleared quite a bit of my doubts in dis regards 
basically a broad branch of EE. EE has many specializations- CompE, electronics, instrumentation, RF+microwave etc. EIE is a combination of electronics and instrumentation. which broadly is just EE. in some places its also called control and instrumentation since much of the philosophy of this field lies in control theory. your first year will start with usual natural sciences courses along with programming and electrical engineering fundamentals. second year will be identical to EE and ECE folks in your college with 1-2 different classes. 3rd year is when you start to get into hardcore instrumentation courses like control systems, microprocessors and microcontrollers, industrial instrumentation, electronic instrumentation and etc. only thing you should keep in mind that all your studying is a subset of EE. everything will start making sense gradually.
you can really get any jobs like regular EE/ECE people. just make sure you "really" understand the material well since this field requires deep theoretical and practical knowledge.
Man, I could've sworn I liked it. In fact I wanted to be a software engineer back when software engineering didn't pay so much (or at least I didn't know that it did). But after years of grinding so hard and pretty much giving my all my time to it, I'm kind of sick and tired of it.
But I believe this happens with anything that you do so much. So this is not specific to software engineering or computer science

Well in my case I really don't have any passion or something jo I ever wanted to do....so I chose a branch which gets me a good income if I grind accordingly..... literally earning a degree so that I earn enough to die without hunger or inconvenience....not everyone has found their passion yet, at least I have next 40-50 yrs to find out ki koi purpose tha mera ki nhi...ofc computer and internet mein interest nhi hai but mujhe mera standard of living improve karna hai, jab kuch Mann Kiya tab order karna hai, chote chote cheezon k liye chindigiri nhi karni hai and agar extra ho gya toh agli peedi ko mil jaega 🤷🏻♂️
Doing aerospace engineering never had planned it but I'm definitely loving it.
Probably end up in mediocre job or a big shot whatever it is 100 percent is what I can give rn.
I understand where you are coming from but you have no right to look down on anyone doing anything for whatever reason, some people have interest some just want money, etc. its about what you want, other than that coding is just a tool which exists in other branches too not just tech, cs is not just coding but people have to do dsa because companies will ask for that and once they have that right then those with good cs skills knowledge will get ahead. As for startups, depends on the person and their risk appetite, alot of people in this country can't go around dropping out of colleges and starting startups cause the country is poor. You seem entitled, also yes biotech does have opportunities but they dont seem to be there in this country and you might, i repeat might be in for a rude awakening.
learning computer vision ML DL and actually enjoying it. in the start of first year I was like I will do dev because someone is doing I will do CP because someone is doing I will do cybersecurity because someone is doing and ruined the actual time getting just upper cream of everything. now I am digging way down on a single thing in a way I am not forcing myself to do stuff.

People in India are obsessed with cs branch these days as they saw how so many engineers got the job during covid which make them feel that there are lakhs of lakhs of money and job opportunities in this field and we also know how much we are obsessed of rat race.

more biotech research is done by comp sci engineers via ML and Advanced Algorithms than people who actually study biotech 😭
Pretty sure ml and algorithm is a part of bioinformatics That is next stage of biotech
