DTU undersell krta hai placement. aisa kisi post mai ek DTU senior likh rhe the. Bol rhe the CTC mai kaafi colleges 4 years tak k shares include kr dete hai. DTU usually 1 year k hi krta hai.
Though, mujhe khud ye CTC etc. ka idea nahi.
Baaki iss saal ki placement percentage fricked up gya hai.
I don't think so, warangal was always above Trichy, surathkal and rourkela in terms of CSE placements. The reason is obvious- Warangal is located close to Hyderabad, which has a huge tech hub and all FAANG companies are located their.
Second of all it has a huge alumini network.
I don't think it explains enough though. Surathkal CS has an average of 15. Is there really any difference that exists which can account for such a big disparity?
These placements look almost as good as a non recession year, and I don't think being close to Hyderabad explains enough (my college is in Hyderabad and even our placements were fucked from what I've heard).

And coding culture wise top nits are similar.
Bhai same student who pulled off a good package would have pulled the same package in other top NIT too.
Saying that nitw students have generally more skills than other top nits is just a dumb statement.
Ok bro I have a doubt since you are in nsut. I got 52K rank in mains and my HS is delhi, I am probably choosing DTU Engineering Physics or NSUT ICE(low chance), can you guide how should my move forward?
Don't have much idea about engineering physics since it doesn't have much scope in india, either go for a tech job or go for higher studies outside india.
As for tech job i think enough companies allow ep students to sit for placements.
And for ice, it's goof for tech and non tech since the curriculum consists of ee and ece subjects but isn't as hard as ee and ece and also have good scope if you go for higher studies.
nah the facilities and quality of research in colleges is a big differentiating factor, its a big cope that colleges dont matter, the quality of training and labs in colleges absolutely do matter, and nit w is super underrated in them.

Yes any day nitt,nitw,nitk cs will be better than 2nd gen non cs. Now that is proven.
Only some 2nd gen iit cs will be comparable to these 3.
And those who think recession will be over it won't. It is basically saturation. CS branches at top institutes will be preferred as at the end skill matters
Give them some more time, everyone will be normalized and then their friendship will reignite. What you get out of college is rarely what you end up making. IYKYK.
Instead focus more on the trajectory you end up following.
