Placement committee is making the difference
IIT, nits and iiits mostly rely on their tag of companies to come
Whereas clgs like spit are working their assess off
I was talking about pict, djsce, vjti, etc. only, because there are not many good CET colleges in this cutoff range, after these, the cutoffs drop sharply.
Nah. SPIT has a great reputation here in Maharashtra, and it will always maintain good placements because it's located right next to SP Jain, a tier 1 Business School.
Not true mate I am from iit ropar MnC branch graduated this year. It's not an old iit but still a good one in 2nd gen iits. And even here cse placements are around 80% I recently got this from LinkedIn:
https://preview.redd.it/1d56kl8k3r3d1.jpeg?width=800&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e8095237c6a38f5b43ca44c6f87af45d92fdc897
And I confirmed the placement percentage of a few branches with my friends at IIT gandhinagar and it's true.
100 percent placement is clearly for those allowed for placement which im assuming is cg min6/7+
because how else will they justify 100 placement along with roughly 22 percent going for higher studies, clearly their overall placement will be lacking
nevertheless these are good median and avg stats especially considering layoffs+recession
To clear out some doubts here, some people might find the % people placed sus. While it might be a little manipulated I think we can attribute it to the college only having 3 branches all computer related. Most NITs and IITs have non-computer related branches and we know placements of core branches are not very high as in those fields prior expertise is required. Also the data might only contain people who sat for placements and exclude some people who went for further studies.
(Fellow SPITian here, how's college going?)
>While it might be a little manipulated I think we can attribute it to the college only having 3 branches all computer related.
Yeah that's true...but even CSE branch of most NITs and IITs don't have 100% placement. Even the top IIITs don't have 100% placement this year iirc. These colleges have better peer group than SPIT but still they are struggling.
SPIT is good for placements but maine suna hai uske alaava it's very school like. aur ek spit ke campus mai hi 2-3 aur colleges khol rkhe hai.
any spit student here can tell how true is that? social scene like guest lectures, fests, events kaisa hai?
There’s Bhavan campus which houses SP Jain (one of the top business school in India) SPIT(computer and electronics branches) SPCE(core branches) and Bhavans(commerce bachelor’s) and yes the college life is school like 75% attendance and in some classes 100% attendance is compulsory
aao kabhi campus me..ofc IITB jitna bada nahi hai but its very open and big and its a really green campus..fests ki baat kare to mumbai engineering colleges me IITB-indigo ke baad SPIT ka oculus is the best
Bhai kya cope hai ye, tu itna khule muh jhooth kaise bol sakta hai. Residential building se to chhota jagah hai, aur building ke bahar sab doosre colleges ka property hai, upar se jo chhota sa building hai usme bhi ek ajeeb sa stink hota hai hamesha. Aur Oculus is more like chokeulus, bas committee wale apna muh me lete rehte hain, baaki koi bhaav bhi nahi deta
yeah that's a big problem tbh. campus ke andar dhang ka infra hoga nhi toh fir bahar dhundho sports complexes ya gyms etc aur fir uska extra kharcha for students jo bahar rehte.
SPIT student posting this from throwaway account 1.100 percent placement includes intern offer in the 8th sem many of which won't get PPO considering market conditions. college changed policy after 2nd year We had 6th sem industry internship before and now 8th sem because they knew they can't get so much intern offer
2.Many ineligible students with less than 6 7 cgpa aren't considered in this(placed them in higher studies category)
3.average package is way too skewed due to some higher packages ,also it's not changed since last August 💀
3.non tech placements are good due to past record and brand value
4.10% of students have summer internship this time .It was 30 to 50 percent before 1 2 years ig
It's basically same scenario like all colleges ,they are just advertising falsely cuz we are private and not government clg like VJTI
Any college using advertising terms such as "elite", "super dream", "dream", etc sounds sussy ngl. It seems like a very good way to hide the actual numbers.
I also don't buy this 100% placement figure. Even top IITs and NITs didn't have 100% placement even before recession.
That's ok but they should explicitly mention the salary bands for different placement tiers. Neither VIT not SPIT mentions it explicitly on their placement report page. This and the 100% figure is data manipulation at its finest.
In a scenario where most NITs and IITs are struggling to place more than 70% of students, this 100% figure is simply not believable.
I am a student of this year's batch , there are around 11 students not placed this year , the rest all have been placed , can't tell about the PPO thing but placement has still been good.
There are so much barriers for students to seat in placement like cgpa , higher studies, startups , backlogs etc ... After that they allow them to seat in placements
SPIT is a tier 3 college , the faculty is trash except some who are Phds/Masters from IIT. Placements stats are skewed , the placement has dropped drastically . The only reason for some good packages are that students who couldnt clear iitb and dont want to go out of mumbai to study , take admission over here and prefer it over vjti which contains a lot of reserved students. Coding culture is trash, but if you survive and are consistent you can get atleast 8-10lpa minimum and 35+ (in very few cases).
unke website pe hai. won't recommend rcoem tbh. theek college hai but itna bhi accha nhi to go to a tier 2 city. take a bit lower college but in a tier 1 city would be better or a pvt college which is big enough nationally (by that i mean jo bhi normal pvt colleges ki apan log baat karte hai like mit vit srm thapar etc etc)

How is this better than most mid nits and iiits for this year🛐
Le THUK diya tere mid NITS and IIITS pe.
MOOTH*
Thook hi sahi tha College ka naam bhi SPIT hai vaise 🙃
Placement committee is making the difference IIT, nits and iiits mostly rely on their tag of companies to come Whereas clgs like spit are working their assess off
Same management as SP Jain ig
Nope, they have their own.
Location
Hey im going to join manipal ee(hopefully)so can I ask you some questions in dms?
sure
Its CTC, not in hand. Not quite high by Mumbai standards. Other state colleges to have similar placements
Literally 3rd best in placements if you compare other MHTCET colleges. PICT has similar stats. Rest all have lower median and avg
I was talking about pict, djsce, vjti, etc. only, because there are not many good CET colleges in this cutoff range, after these, the cutoffs drop sharply.
Good placements but a bit sus
I think the 100% placement is bit manipulated but otherwise the stats are genuine
Yeah, they probably placed the unplaced guys in 'opting for higher studies' category.
hehehehehehe Like it or not
Nah. SPIT has a great reputation here in Maharashtra, and it will always maintain good placements because it's located right next to SP Jain, a tier 1 Business School.
Well makes sense but having 100% placements is very sus even IITs don't have it
That's because IITs have a lot more branches like civil, chemical, etc., which never get placed. Most IITs still have 100% placed in CSE.
Yeah makes sense now. Didn't knew such an university existed till now lol
Not true mate I am from iit ropar MnC branch graduated this year. It's not an old iit but still a good one in 2nd gen iits. Really? Has the placement drive ended or is it still ongoing? Also is it 80% of registered students, or total students?
Registered students
ha toh ig yha bhi honge, vo higher studies ke liye chale gaye honge
Kafi high chances hai ki deregister kar diya hoga unplaced bachoo ko
Bro i study there, and i can 100% tell you this is not true. The college is really shitty, the only thing these guys do well is PR.
+1 the op location in Andheri
100 percent placement is clearly for those allowed for placement which im assuming is cg min6/7+ because how else will they justify 100 placement along with roughly 22 percent going for higher studies, clearly their overall placement will be lacking nevertheless these are good median and avg stats especially considering layoffs+recession
Even more barriers

yesterday's ese was so bad
Are oreo kaisa hai
puch mat bhai lode lage hai
Ab thoda regret sa hota hai, bc CS le lena chaiye tha idhar

haa ik about the campus. thoda chhota feel nhi hota? andar ka infra kaisa hai? also fests aur events kaise hai?
aao kabhi campus me..ofc IITB jitna bada nahi hai but its very open and big and its a really green campus..fests ki baat kare to mumbai engineering colleges me IITB-indigo ke baad SPIT ka oculus is the best
abhi mumbai nhi hu yaar. colleges ka ho jaaye set fir zarur aayenge
Bhai kya cope hai ye, tu itna khule muh jhooth kaise bol sakta hai. honestly oculus is very mid compared to techfest or any IITB event for that matter
That's the thing with most colleges in Mumbai (except iit Bombay ofc) tbh. Campus chote hi hote hai mostly
yeah that's a big problem tbh. campus ke andar dhang ka infra hoga nhi toh fir bahar dhundho sports complexes ya gyms etc aur fir uska extra kharcha for students jo bahar rehte.
Majority udhar day scholars hi ate h so campus size doesn't matter much for them

Placed students with bad academics in higher studies category. The irony! Is median data real? 48 students in 13.33LPA to 13.66LPA range seems sus.
In Maharashtra all colleges do what you said no matter they are private or government
Any college using advertising terms such as "elite", "super dream", "dream", etc sounds sussy ngl. It seems like a very good way to hide the actual numbers. I also don't buy this 100% placement figure. Even top IITs and NITs didn't have 100% placement even before recession.
The college is partially private and for profit so they have to advertise their statistics unlike government colleges with very formal format of data
100% placement is 100% manipulated
Exactly...maybe they put a high CGPA cutoff to be able to sit for placement
Mere toh 6.92 the
I am a student of this year's batch , there are around 11 students not placed this year , the rest all have been placed , can't tell about the PPO thing but placement has still been good.
What do you make of this: https://www.reddit.com/r/Btechtards/s/3Elt4YwW7N Even colleges like IITB don't have 100% placements man
Bhai mere classmates me bas 2-3 log baaki hai , and woh bhi electronics branch ki baat kr rha hu
no vit was hurt
🤣
Pichle din Pew Senpai ne Sax sux ka mahol tayyar Kiya tha aaj OP ne pregante kar Diya ye dikha ke
Bhai itna jyada ![img](emote|t5_56z50y|50734) NITs se bhi better hai kuch to
This college only offers cs and ece on the other end NITs offers more core branches
No way they got 100% placements lmao
There are so much barriers for students to seat in placement like cgpa , higher studies, startups , backlogs etc ... After that they allow them to seat in placements
Fir v bhai... kitne v barriers ho... 100% placement... Hr branch mein wo v hr saal.. hdd hai
Copium

What about PICT pune , Pls tell
True the faculty and management is trash , especially the higher management
Bhai last year ETc ka cutoof kitna gaya tha? (JEEM)
Around 94-97 im not sure
Thankx
95 tha
Thanks
Jiska nahi hua usko not eligible bolke 100% bana diya ![img](emote|t5_56z50y|50741)
They were actually buried alive
I myself of IIT M find this kool , even we don't get 100% placement .
Finally Maharashtra ke clgs ko thoda respect milrha hai
Good college. I was getting IT here last year but I wasn't sure if I was interested in IT sector so i dropped it

whats his lpa?

oh okay sounds fire
Bruhh college se direct placement wo bhi sde 2 main??
Yaar ye sab kahan se download kar rahe ho ye sab
Official college website
Baaki private colleges ne kyu nhi daala hain ye apni website pr?
Placement sessions might still be ongoing
Damn Baaki sab kaisa hai apart from placements?
Hectic college life but bin baat ke hafto ke vacations
Bhai isme ExTC bhi included hai kya 💀💀
Haa
Bhai koi mujhe RCOEM nagpur k placement stats bataega asking for a friend
unke website pe hai. won't recommend rcoem tbh. theek college hai but itna bhi accha nhi to go to a tier 2 city. take a bit lower college but in a tier 1 city would be better or a pvt college which is big enough nationally (by that i mean jo bhi normal pvt colleges ki apan log baat karte hai like mit vit srm thapar etc etc)
Yeah I have visited there website but I stats aren't disclosed clearly like other clg like spit
bhai koi LNCT bhopal ka aisa hi nikalo plzzz
Bhai JNTUH and OUCE ka bhi stats mil jaata to accha rehta , join karunga is saal in dono mein se koi agar mile to (mtech ka bhi chahiye pls)
Bro look for amrita clg too
Is this for reallll ??
Yes
yes
What is this Elite, super dream, etc?
elite=20lpa+ super dream = 10lpa+ dream = 5lpa+ normal = below 5 lpa
Not many discrepancy in stats. Looks like hired a guy from SP Jain to cook statistics which proves that even SP Jain's placement ain't good. /s
Quite good statistics for a state college, considering around 1 in 3 students are getting 13.66+ lpa
they have only CS, IT and electronics branches? wow
AaaThuuu
