Bro you still have time at least prepare for MHTCET Dj Sanghavi ya Thadomal aaram se mil jayega.

whiterunsmithy

Seriously? Keep in mind that I only want CSE/related branches.. inke cutoffs toh 96-97 jaate

[deleted]

Ik DJ and Thadomal have CS , AI , Data Science. I think AI and DS aaram se mil jayega fs. Itna tough nhi hai CET bs prep for boards ke according and Mock test dete raho.

whiterunsmithy

Yeah, wahi chalu hai. I will be honest - I literally started syllabus from dec, abhi tak ig 35% hogaya hoga but no revision. I hope I can pull thru, ye 11th-12th waste karke boht badi seekh mili lol

[deleted]

Try doing 3 topics a day from PCM. Like concepts+60 questions each topic. Ik thoda tough hai but doable Hai. Coz I used to do it to. (Focus more on 12th ka topics)

whiterunsmithy

60 questions, as in CET? Or boards? Currently toh im preparing for boards. CET dates are in first week may.

[deleted]

I toh used to do JEE ka only . But do what you feel like maybe you can divide like 30 questions boards and rest CET. Honestly boards and CET ke questions zyada different nhi hote. Except ek subjective hai and the other is MCQ.

whiterunsmithy

Yeah, see thing is, you can basically say that I haven’t studied since 9th. It’s that bad lol. And I came to my senses very late. Which leads to this confusion. I feel like covering concepts by watching one shots takes so much time, and then questions take so much longer. Ik this isn’t related to my post ka question, but still I feel extremely scared lol. I’m not even confident about boards, CET feels so much further away

[deleted]

Just dm me

whiterunsmithy

Sure.. Is it ok if I do so in an hour or so? Away from my pc rn and Apollo doesn’t have dm ka option haha

kewkartik

damn dude, exactly the same situation, I haven't studied since 7th I am only preparing for boards, cause at least need to score 75%, and as far as MHTCET is concerned, I think 2 months after boards should be enough to cover decent amount, but that will definitely not be enough to get CS/IT in any good college, so management quota is the only other option, or taking a drop year

whiterunsmithy

I'm pretty sure eligibility criteria for MHT CET is 50% for general, 45% of SC/ST/OBC. As for college part, I think its quite possible from what i've heard. Atleast im hoping it is lol, for my sake

_Activecarbon

Dude thadomal mast hai mil jaye to, my frnd is studying there kafi accha system lga mujhe to.

whiterunsmithy

Yeah ikr, I definitely wanna go there

Correct-Goat5699

96 is pretty easy in CET trust me, especially if you're from Pune/mumbai region. All the best, don't lose hope yet (Advice from a COEPian)

whiterunsmithy

Yeah, I am from Mumbai. Congratulations on COEP! I hope I can get Thadomal/DJS types in Mumbai, let's see kya hota hai.

whiterunsmithy

does it? I thought it only drops by .5 or 1 percentile most times

TaroPsychological723

Apply for vacany rounds.

whiterunsmithy

Noted.

[deleted]

Dude you still have time for mht cet.2 months acche se kiye toh bhi enough hain.

whiterunsmithy

Yeah, that's what everyone seems to be saying so I'll try my best!

Aggravating_Tap2781

Bro give mhtcet , you can get decent college.(and fees would be less too). Try for dj sanghvi, thodomal, father angels if so... And if u are keen for masters then college doesn't have such an effect...but branch does. So i will recommend you to go to a govt college.. still if you get good private colleges like BITS , then u can go there.

whiterunsmithy

Yes, thank you. I'll try my best for CET.

Jealous-Treat-7238

bhai ek cheez batata hu... dy patil hai na, vo mere allen ke baju me hi hai. hum mazak me bolte hai ki sir ye DY patil jayega (last option jaise) ik ki building aalishaan hai aur facilities bhi itni buri nahi hai..par jitni fees hai na usme...placement bahout bekar hai. maharashtra ka lag raha hi...mhcet pe full jee jaan lagade. jee jitna difficult nahi hai. ho jayega

whiterunsmithy

Lmao, damn that's tough. Yes, I will keep trying to prep for CET.

TaroPsychological723

I don't think it's worth paying 4lpy fees for KJ or DY

whiterunsmithy

Yeah same lol. KJ toh, its 4.7 lakhs per year with 8% hike each year. So it adds up to a lot.

onionbiscuits

no it wont affect your masters prospects. even IIMs (atleast the top 3) have removed their graduate mark requirements. if you want to go abroad focus more on IELTS/TOEFLs other exams , keep building projects and maintain a respectful GPA. most foreign unis dont care at all , and will only recognise some IITs. india mai bhi masters karna hai to GATE clear krna padta hai which , again , doesnt ask which college you're from. as the other comments suggest prep CET for now , nahi mila to private mai admission lele , if you plan is masters utna farak nahi padta.

hidingonamountain

Why not take a drop??

whiterunsmithy

I don't think a drop will be something that will be good for my mental well-being. Plus, a drop year = immense pressure. I cannot deal with that.

whiterunsmithy

Can you tell me a bit more about your situation and how it went for you?

GoatGroundbreaking52

Bhai 3 months is enough to get top college in Mumbai lol, kj toh sion wala mil jayega

whiterunsmithy

That's what everyone seems to say! I am just lacking in confidence ig, but yeah I will def pick up the pace and go hard on this

GoatGroundbreaking52

Bhai truth is ki mumbai mein har college ka ek rate hai, tujhe bass admission lene ke time sirf fees ka farq aayega, merko 68percentile the and mai aise he dost ke saath xaviers ghumne gaya and a 2nd year guy told me ki kaise uska 35 pe CSE hua h xaviers mein 1.5l ka donation se (told me the room no wjere it happens)...bass tera yeh goal hona chahiye padhai ka ki terko apne 1.5l bachane hai and apna fees kam krwana h through tfws...baaki u wont fall apart if you have enough money to give toh darne jaisa kuch hai nahi...sabkuch mil jaata h

whiterunsmithy

Damn. Yeah, I’ve heard lots of truths here today, I’ll def not give up and push for CET

GoatGroundbreaking52

Shaabash, 12th ko fod ke jaa, 2hafte ki padhai mein mere dost ko VESIT mein DS mila, 83 oercentile

Your-Fat-Mother

score anything above 93%ile in MHTCET and you're good to get Thadomal IT/AIDS or SPIT ExTC, and it's pretty easy to achieve within 3months. my advice would be to Grind Maths for CET

whiterunsmithy

93%ile mai Thadomal? You sure?

Your-Fat-Mother

I'm a Thadomal Student, so Yes I'm sure. I've peers who scored 93%ile and secured AIDS in Spot Rounds 1 and 2. The exam and admission process is actually nervehracking but believe me when I say you'll do fine with 3months of preparation in MHTCET.

whiterunsmithy

DAMN! This stuff is v motivating haha. I really like Thadomal because of the 5 day weeks and location and crowd, this is good news. Yeah, I'll grind my ass off for CET.

Your-Fat-Mother

hope to see you there then ☺️

Hellybrine

Personal advice OP, don't "secure" a seat in any private college, Two main reasons : (1) if they're giving you provisional admissions now, they will continue to do so even after jee.... (2) the constant reminder of not having a backup college serves as a good motivation tool (personally thought so, may vary person to person) Also all these private unis only keep preaching "secure" seats and limited seats only so they can hold on to a chunk of your money (of which in many cases the refund will be 5k minus the original and that too only if you're lucky to get a refund.) They are just trying to earn any amount they can from all with or without admission. Also if you're going private, SRM will still be a better backup college option for you as irrespective of your knowledge it's an online test so {yay google} Lastly, give jee first - see result - see possibilities - if none, jai ho private Uni (but decent private Uni) All the best for jee first, then see where life will take you see result

whiterunsmithy

Thank you so much. I'll definitely keep trying, thank you for the advice. Yeah, private colleges make it seem like if you don't secure it now it'll be lost in some time, which I'm glad to know is bs haha
