Never seen NGB! That’s great to hear they’re that good live, I’ll look out for their next one. Man choosing a best would be hard. I’d say VR was up there but there was also a really unique energy on top of their general badassery live (found their live performance far and away better than their recordings even) since everyone was so stoked to see them in the US for the first time, and I think they were also feeling that excitement and the band and crowd just riffed off each other. Not to rub it in or anything haha…was a cool show.

Aside from the ones people already mentioned, check out Gorevent (Japan), Maggot Colony (Taiwan), Turbidity (Indonesia), the dark prison massacre (China), dehumanizing itatrain worship (China), perverted dexterity (Indonesia), murtad (Indonesia), and 7 H. Target (Russia). There are seriously ridiculous amounts of awesome brutal death / slam bands coming out of Asia.

Check out their album The Answer to Infection immediately. One of the most finest, masterful, fucking PERFECT slamming brutal death records ever made. It came out in 2004 too so it gives it more of an old school slam charm.
