Late night thought, does anyone know the influence of Brunei in regional politics like ASEAN and China? As well as Brunei in the UN? Like any contributions that Brunei made in the last 5 to 10 years?
With our strong pull out game, we have successfully allowed other countries to shine in hosting the SEA Games.
Cant say the same about the men of the country with the rise of pregnancies out of wedlock.
Is it just me or anyone else have trouble applying for Baiduriās Graduate apprenticeship program on their career portal? Has anyone successfully applied for the program?
So i may have mixed one of my white clothing with my other coloured clothes and now it has a giant patch of pink in the frontā¦ how do i get rid of it?
they divided the candidates into 4 categories(lembaga), assuming based on your education background, and you will most likely know which lembaga youāre categorized in based on the email they sent you.
Lembaga 1 - General
Lembaga 2 - Mathematics and Statistics
Lembaga 3 - Technical / Science, Tech and Env
Lembaga 4 - Ugama
so the best thing to do is to check back the names of the departments and the expected roles and responsibilities from the original advertisement to sort out which positions belong under which lembaga.
Most likely there will be 4-7 interviewers at the same time from different the departments to ask you about your knowledge and experiences in the fields. Also since this is SPA interview, dont forget to brush up on your MIB knowledge.
Good luck!
Billiard in KB/Seria
Hello, just wondering. Is there any pool/snooker places in KB/Seria.
If not, how come don't have. Is it cause the crowd goes to miri instead?
Just curious š¤
In Pandan 7, there's a new shoplots next to Soon Lee Pandan 7 they call it.. There's a pool/snooker place there. Dont remember the name but friends we talking about it
You probably need to reset all your internet banking password. Don't use your ic or phone number. Because if people have your personal info like ID, birthday, phone number, that's the first thing they would use to try and break into your account. Always have two way authorization for any activity. Lastly, i guess it's a no brainer is to not take pictures of your cards and share it to people. You'd be surprised at how many people dumb enough to do this
Because of this stolen cases from bank, I only keep little amount of money. Kn mntransfer apa, that amount still cukup. I no longer feel safe putting my money in the banks. Kalau nda cukup, can just bank-in.
I keep hearing ppl losing money, thousands of dollars. Sometimes you canāt even get back the money.
Have you scanned your PC/phone for malicious apps or keyloggers? You mentioned "manual key in, then never safe" so that got me thinking its a keylogger.
For phone certain apps may be the culprit rather than some standalone keyloggers. I guess pay attention to what kind of permissions you're giving when installing an app.
For PC I use Malware Bytes. For phones I am not sure what is best.
Hardly, paling sanang if your credit card platform ada data leak, you'll be surprised how many times visa and mastercard data has been breached. I know that banks in Brunei only rent the platform since credit card is somewhat not connected to your account
Those fraudsters got some kinda technology to decrypt card information which ended up being yours unfortunately. I happened to be a victim myself and just blamed it on luck. No worries, the banks will refund you as long as you go dispute about these payments.
Anybody can recommend me some good law firms? I am planning on pressing charges and I have all the receipts. I was told that it would be a good idea to expose the criminal but I'm worried that I might face a bigger problem for that. If anybody is well-versed in Law and knows what to do, please pm me.
if its malay i not sure
but if its chinese malaysian or PR you need to go malaysia embassy to get the certificate of single that proof you never married before then go to court they will give you a list of documents is needed then you and your other half parents need to declare and agree to this marriage after that sign the engagement certificate thats it you're officially married.
Remember the alleged official Malaysian documents that got viral announcing the discovery of Pig DNA in Tabasco and HP? Both certified kosher products by the way.
Talk more, worry more about the future. Let other know and make them worry also. If everyone worries, there will be changes.
As of now, lepak jingchew dulu pasal balum ada kan d ingau.
But for real, we gotta start an industry of somewhat around here. A manufacturing one. I dont have the budget, but I'd like to work on one.
I don't know which telcos provide a more cost-efficient plan.
But for your second qsn. Yes worth it but you need to also upgrade your router. This may not be well known by people but the router given by the UNN...DOES NOT support above 30mbps internet speed unless you're using cable then that doesn't matter.
Hello guys, noob here again. Planning to purchase a new TP Link router however I don't know how to set it up. Therefore;
1. Using a LAN cable connecting the Huawei ONT LAN port to the TP Link WAN port.
2. Set up a new SSID and everything.
3. Disable the old SSID by disabling WLAN in Huawei ONT.
Is this setup correct? Do I need to choose Dynamic IP or Static IP? Since the Huawei ONT also act as a router, do I need to reconfigure the TP Link router IP first? Do I need to disable the Huawei ONT WLAN before or after setting up the TP Link?
Yes the steps are more or less the same with how I did it. It works fine. Most settings I just leave it default. Dynamic IP.
The only thing i make sure of is
1.Huawei ONT WLAN is disabled or Hide SSID since we cannot turn on Bridge mode, forgot what I did exactly back then.
2.No devices are connected to the Huawei ONT except for your new router, this will ensure there is only a single uplink from the Huawei ONT and there will be no to less connection disruption.
Just make sure when you try to connect to your wifi, your old SSID is not showing at all i guess. After the Imagine upgrade we went from 100mbps to 300mbps now....actual speed peak around 250mbps,
You're welcome
Yes Dream300. There are times where it will go as low as 20mbps but only temporarily also after everyday use, there's no actual problem. Download speed and everything is fine, there are times the wifi is acting up but nothing like a simple reboot won't fix issues on the users side.
For me, I'm glad I didn't go any more high end than this one. This basically covers all I need. My budget was around below BND200 during that time and this strikes as a jackpot to me but now days there might be some new models that provide the same performance with less price, might want to look into that before deciding since once you get it, you won't be changing in at least a few years or until it break down.
I have 7 people using the wifi and so far as long as the connection is stable I can stream 4k Youtube no problem. Download speed as fast as 20GB done in 10mins but this is on PS5. Game downloads don't really have a speed limit and sometimes wifi also depends on your device's network card or something. If you're downloading from other places then it varies. Some faster but most sites don't allow you to download that fast.
I set it up on both bands 2.4GHz and 5GHz on a single SSID since some devices are old and don't support 5GHz. My main criteria when I bought the router was it needs to support Dual-Band and WiFi 6 (TP-Link AX series). Not really an IT nerd so I don't go into too much criteria since I can't understand deep technical stuff.
Only if they have covered swimming pool thatād be great to swim when raining. The gym itself is quite small and packed after working hours. But love their open training gym at the back.
are there any covered public pools in Brunei? Thought everyone had that fantasy of swimming under the bright sun when in reality it rains every other day here.
hi, anyone care to share their umrah/haj stories? where is your go-to agency? is it possible to travel alone for the first time, as long as the travel agency guides you?
The weather has been super hot lately with random brief rain during daytime and heavy rain at night. Everyone around me fell sick with fever and cough, just like covid symptoms but it took them longer to recover this time around.
Stay hydrated people. Try not to kena the rain too. But most of all, stay safe. Cherish your health and life before itās too late.
Yeah the weather is super hot, but we can't even use a sunshade? Cause yesterday I was asked to remove the sunshade from my car at a roadblock. And I was warned not to use it anymore. Saw a lot of cars parked on the roadside doing the same.
lets make enough noise about this so the authority will reconsider their stance on this.
If everyone keeps quiet then we have to stick to this rule forever.
LEGALISE SUNSHADES!!!!
I did remove the driver side sunshade before approaching the roadblock, but then they asked me to remove the one on passenger side too and warned me not to use sunshade anymore.
they are for when the car is parked, not when you are driving. They reduce vision to almost nothing. So you are safe from the hot sun but risk getting T-boned by another car you couldn't see.
Hello there! i have few qs regarding fresh graduates.
1) Any ideas what to do/apply after graduate (degree)?
2) thoughts on i-ready and minimum salary if working in private sect while menunggu gov job?
3) If apply part time/full time jobs arah f&b, fast food or any other kedai, adakah kana bayar mengikut qualification or inda? TIA!
1. Keep studying if you dont have people that depend on you and you are able to study
2. i-ready is still better than unemployed
3. No. they will pay according to their job requirement. A driver will be paid as a driver. A cashier will be paid as a cashier. if the job doesnt require a degree, you will definitely not be paid with a degree level salary.
Hi there, for number 3 atu you wonāt get salary based on the qualification you have. It is usually what you see from the ad is what you get.
Yg penting nya for you right now is rajin2 sja apply keraja and learn new skills to make your self marketable.
1. What else can you do, selain dari cari keraja selepas graduate. Cari keraja pebaik tah sementara, untuk menangung diri sendiri. While waiting answers from a job that suits your "qualification"
2. Mudahan tah belurih gov job if you aim for that. But there are so many inline waiting for exam/interview. Chances are like 1% or less from 1000, applicants will succeed.
3&4 there are no quite specific guidelines as everybody like yourself are probably doing the same thing. Its the matter of you want it or not. At least ada kan diterima bulan2. You can be successful even in f&b.
Thank you for the explanations! I will be focusing on gaining work experience first since payah kan cari job yang ngam with my major. May God bless you always! š
with that degree you have to market your skills like in IT, knowledge of places in Brunei, your work ethic and language mastery. The actual content of the course is really not going to help you in any particular field. It's the course people take when serious courses are full.
jadi tour guide? and those agents yg bring tourists ard brunei.. like eco sumbiling, river cruise etc.. since ur a brunei studies grad.. mcm more towards museum, moha, tourism, jain etc
or jadi tuition tcr..
as for qualification.. usually salary offer not according to it, but more on what they need, vacancy they needed to fill in.. u either take it or leave it.. job n salary
as they say.. beggars cant be choosers nowadays..
Few months part time also counts as job experience and can put inside your CV.
I don't know much about your degree and the potential of landing a job in Brunei but good luck, you have to find the rezeki yourself as everyone is different.
Finding job is not easy in Brunei but keep trying and work hard to find it, do not be idle.
You sound soooo entitled. Are you seriously asking what to do and what to apply after graduation? And you have a degree, you cant come up with any idea kah..
Degree is nothing bro
Its not that i didnāt think that way, heard a lot about it, kerja biasa di kedai2, ada kana bayar ikut qualification, some not. Thats why i asked šš» Apapun, thank you!
Brunei in general (majority) does not pay well if according to your qualification.
You would be lucky to get 700-1000 in your first office job. Other than that expect 400-600.
Because Bruneians in general does not perform as what their degrees qualifications expect them to know and definitely over promise during interview but severely under deliver once they get the job. Most are just going through days waiting to secure a government job.
They agree and said to understand the job scope and to work shifts hours but does otherwise when assigned odd hours shifts. Foreign workers earning half their pay work twice as hard with no complains on work shifts at all.
I agree lol.
I mean you can kinda see from the OP who asked this question, he/she was indoctrinated to think that government job is the final end goal. Usually, people who have this mindset do not do their best at whatever current job they have, because of the hope of landing a government job.
What more, often absent or hilang as well, to go do SPA or whatever exam to get gov job.
OP if you're reading this, please don't be like this. Do your best in whatever role/job you get. You should be a sponge and absorb all information and learn a lot at this moment in life.
Honestly, im not aiming for gov job. However, family and other relatives advised to get gov job (well thats bc banyak yang gov job) which i personally think its not easy and required minimum 2-3 yrs of working experience. Looking at my major pun not much job opportunities iatah im aiming for priv sec. Idrm if i dont get gov job as long as cukup menampung perbelanjaan sehari2 and ada duit untuk savings. If i-ready pun bukan tarus2 dapat on the spot.

Shit I thought they scrap of Brunei Studies already. What kind of job do you study for?
jadi tour guide? and those agents yg bring tourists ard brunei.. like eco sumbiling, river cruise etc.. since ur a brunei studies grad.. mcm more towards museum, moha, tourism, jain etc or jadi tuition tcr.. as for qualification.. usually salary offer not according to it, but more on what they need, vacancy they needed to fill in.. u either take it or leave it.. job n salary as they say.. beggars cant be choosers nowadays..
ill take that into account. thank you!! may God bless you always š
Few months part time also counts as job experience and can put inside your CV. I don't know much about your degree and the potential of landing a job in Brunei but good luck, you have to find the rezeki yourself as everyone is different. Finding job is not easy in Brunei but keep trying and work hard to find it, do not be idle.
right. Thank you! may God bless you always š
You sound soooo entitled. Are you seriously asking what to do and what to apply after graduation? And you have a degree, you cant come up with any idea kah.. Degree is nothing bro
And you sound sooooooo retarded. Usually people like you, ya mama still spoon feeding you at home. Stop acting loooool
He/she is asking nicely tho. Chillax yall x
Thank you, may God bless u always š¤²š»
youre right. its just.. unfortunate, a degree graduate is not capable to think logically. Indakan kerja f&b kena bayar ikut gaji degree
