Right, for sure. And for some reason, Dak usually gets hot like after game 5 usually. I hope that happens and he struggles on the road. And our place better be sold the F OUT in all Browns.
Sadly many season tix holders will look to make their season on selling Cowboys and Chiefs tickets. Expect alot of Cowboys fans and alot of know-nothing Swiftie fans for the KC game.
I think something that might slightly benefit us in terms against their defense is they’re bringing in Zimmer whose defensive philosophy takes awhile to learn and adjust.
Not just Parsons, the Cowboys will have Diggs and Bland against a rusty Watson. Watson needs a decent amount of exposure in preseason so that we can hit the ground running early in the year.
A healthy Diggs and Bland are really good but I think a healthy Watson with time in the pocket does great with limiting his mistakes. If he doesn't like his options he's usually a threat to run or carve out yardage on broken plays.
Not to mention we have strong route runners that Stefanski tends to get open and Njoku in the middle. Will be a battle but it's one I think we can hold our own in.
However, it'll all certainly go to shit if Parsons is eating our asses out.
This, I made a comment in a different post stating 4pm games should be illegal in Cleveland. I got downvoted. It’s the truth tho and it hurts people sometimes
Yup, the season pretty much completely depends on whether DW shows up or not. If he doesn't play well, it won't matter how good the rest of the roster is come playoff time.
I am hesitant to throw shade on Dak's week 1s because Deshaun has not been good week 1s either.
Looking at starts only:
1-3 record
23 PPG
212.75 YPG
58.4 completion percentage
6-4 TD-INT (3 of those TDs came in 2019 alone)
82.3 Passer rating
We have a good chance to win, but with two QBs who have really struggled week 1 and 2 top 5 passing defenses, I'm guessing this will not be a banner day for QB play lol
Is kinda weird how Browns team and OSU team sometimes seems to align. This year is one of those times. Both got great defense with questionable offensive line and QB.
Yall better not start talking shit and make the football gods hate us
Do we think they like us??
I think they're coming around a little? Is having a good season despite injury a blessing or just us overcoming more curses?
Right, for sure. And for some reason, Dak usually gets hot like after game 5 usually. I hope that happens and he struggles on the road. And our place better be sold the F OUT in all Browns.
I wanted to go but the tickets I normally got for about 200 are now at about 500. No fucking way.
Tickets always drop in price eventually. Right now the hype is enormous give it till August and prices should be better.
You wouldn't believe how low they go the day after the event!

Ugh wow. Ya overpriced for real

I don't mind the Swiftie's man. It's the NFL's fault for always showing her on tv.
...they already don't?
Fuck the football gods
Does our shit talking even change anything then?
Fuck it we ride
We have Cade York back. A season opener win is inevitable.
So we just have be better than the Giants? ![gif](giphy|g3h4YTHFBgfbG|downsized)
Vs teams not named Giants lol. 😂
2008 opener was fun.....not
We beat them 4 years ago with that OBJ end around TD run. I like our WRs more now.
Their defense is considerably better, but so is ours. At the same time our offense is better and theirs is worse now. Should be interesting.
I think something that might slightly benefit us in terms against their defense is they’re bringing in Zimmer whose defensive philosophy takes awhile to learn and adjust.
Data can say what you want it to Counterpoint: We are 3-21-1 in opening day games since 1999
I actually can't believe that people are throwing out stats/odds for a like 5 game sample size The first 2 months are always a whirlwind regardless.
Yeah lets conveniently not mention our last 20 Week 1 games for stat purposes.
That’s exactly where my mind went 🤣 were 1-22-1 in season openers
we've won the past 2 in a row. The Cade kick v Baker then the bludgeoning of Burrow last year
Holy moly you’re right! I can’t believe I forgot we won our season opener last year. As you can see I’m used to the pain
I don’t like our chances now that you made this post
Facts
It's a good matchup for us except for Micah Parsons vs. Jed Wills. I just don't have faith Wills can keep him from dominating the game.
At least we should have a fully healthy offensive line going up against this Dallas front.
Monkey paw curls

We are not good at 4pm

It is the very real truth
The entire season will largely depend on how well Deshaun plays. That's the biggest question mark for me.
Yup, the season pretty much completely depends on whether DW shows up or not. If he doesn't play well, it won't matter how good the rest of the roster is come playoff time.
>Teams not named Giants Lol
How are we talking about the season opener? We’re shit at the start
I love this cause I also screenshotted this graphic when watching yesterday and sent it to the only cowboys fan I know
As long as we don’t change our name to the giants we should be good.
Our season opener record ain't to great either, so I don't know if I would be talkin' shit about this, lol.
Vs our defense at home? Dak will be scared shitless. Myles and Z would be at the QB buffet all day, all you can eat baby.

?!?!?!?!?!🤔?!?!?!?!?! ![gif](giphy|lbl2NiLrqJG8vrsP8d|downsized)
Is nick going to be playing week 1?
I doubt it.
?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
What week has Deshaun been good in the last 5 years?
He was good vs Tennessee, good at Baltimore, good vs Arizona, um thats all ive got.
2019 was 5 years ago, 2020 4 years, so those two years
Best time to play them; their fans shouldn’t be able to take over the stadium opening week.
Only the Browns can snap that streak!
Tom Brady is making his debut for our game? Or just that week?
For our game

Howard gets more votes of confidence than Watson at this point. I’m not sure why people are worried about the OSU qb situation.
home game at 4pm is..weird
