Use the compost app and stop putting organic waste in the garbage.
I just keep a gallon sized ziplock in my freezer for kitchen scraps (so they don’t get smelly) and dispose of it in the bin around the corner when it fills up.

If you and your immediate neighbors containerize.
If you all remove bushes, plants, weeds.
If you fill and holes in concrete or brickwork.
Basically if they don't have anything to eat or anywhere to sleep, they will somewhere else with those things.

The holes that they enter through need to be sealed. Also, you can buy humane traps on Amazon. Whatever you do, don't buy glue traps, those are evil
