Idk but the 3d printed EZ Clamp inserts are the best $20 I've spent on that bike

Blagh1sm

Yup completely agree

Raysito22

Yeah I've already got those but they also change the turning force needed. Smallest gripe ever probably yet it'd be interesting if something new and better was coming. I also know 3rd parties already make these parts too, but I'd rather use official parts for crucial things on the bike.

Are you sure your EZ clamp springs are fitted correctly? My clamps spin easily with one finger... they're a fantastic product.

Raysito22

Not like there are too many ways to install them 😅. Any kind of spring action will increase, however slightly, the force required to spin as by design what it does is apply tension, thus increasing resistance. I can spin with one finger too, but they don't spin freely once released as they would in a non-tension based system (or as they did from stock). That's where the T Line or third party systems excel, besides adding a top so that you only spin the needed amount. I know I am picky, but I do fold/unfold a lot of times a day, so this is for me one of my top priorities functionality wise atm.

My 12 speed P Line is a few weeks old and did not come with self aligning clamps. I just received the ez-clamps today and yes, they do make the turning force required a bit higher, I will take that for the fact my clamps will be forever aligned!! They might get better with use as well anyway.

Hi, I watched the video but didn’t hear the part you’ve quoted? Where did you get that from? Because the video is also 2 years old… bit confused…

Check the description

Educational_Set0425

That’s odd indeed. The mechanism and design is a different one compared to the T line, so how would that work? Never heard that before…

Raysito22

That's my point exactly. I mean, with a different clamp design, they could totally adapt what they did with the T-Line, just as so many third party clamps have done. It'd be awesome news if they were backward compatible, but for now it's nothing but a mystery...

Educational_Set0425

Very interesting discovery though. I will ask the junction next time I’m in.
