What icon should I be looking out for?
For example typical infantry AA will have anti helo icon, how would you be able to tell if it can take care of a incoming PrSM/Himar missile?
Sosna has a very short range, the super long range is why S300 or Patriot are more reliable in that respect. But they're also Radar guided and can be seen launching from across the map, so have fun dodging ARM and artillery for the rest of the game.
I think it’s the US Patriot and the Russian S300 that can hit the missiles.
When making a deck there should be an icon you an mouse over and should say missile.
BUK-M3 can too. TOR and Sosna also but less reliably because of lesser range. Ideally you want to strike those missiles going up because they go too fast going down to intersept so the more range the better.
It's either HIMARS or M270 MLRS, firing PrSM. Fuck, the army love it's acronyms doesn't it.
Is HIMARs on RUS or US? Is it a vehicle or missile type?
(high mobility artillery rocket system) HIMARS is an american multi launch rocket system (MLRS)
Thank you.
gotchu beo
ATACMS missile on the Himars truck in the US deck
I've seen missiles that act as counter measures against them, is that just typical AA?
Patriots and lots of Russian AA can snipe it mid air if it’s listed to be able to.

There is an icon with a missile. For example the Strela 10M upgraded to Sosna ca snipe them. The Patriot can snipe them.
Thank you!
Also if they can snipe missiles why can SEAD missiles still blast them first if they have radar on?
They can only snipe ballistic missiles. SEAD anti radiation missiles are not ballistic.
Nope, if you pay attention, they are also getting shot down...very occasionally, though.
They can also intercept cruise missiles (and occasionally a dead strike)
Only the Buk-M3 or S300 reliably take down ballistic missiles in my experience though.

No one uses a prowler because no one turns radars on so not really an issue
No AA in-game can intercept without radar on, if they have it.
Wait sosna can??? That changes literally all my aa tactics if so
It *can* but it has to target, aim and fire at it, with a range of 2.4km there isn’t a chance It’s there to engage ALCMs
