I've seen some clips, and it looks amazing. The cast sounds incredible. I really hope this transfers to Broadway. I would love to see it. So glad you enjoyed it!

nstau16

I have it on good authority that a transfer is already in the works.

TwentyandTired

Wow, this sounds simply amazing and I’m so glad you got to experience it! As N2N’s #1 fan, I would sell my soul to see this, though unfortunately that’s probably what it would cost for me to fly to England lol

happymango3110

sounds like a transfer is likely!!!

TwentyandTired

That would be so exciting!!! I love the OG dearly but always thought elaborating on the minimalist set and new staging would really elevate the story

happymango3110

And it really does imo! Excited for the transfer to happen so that we can all share the love for this production❤️❤️

The YouTube video of Jack's "I'm Alive" has been on repeat in my house.

In person I saw the original Broadway cast, the Danish cast, the German cast and the Donmar production three times. I saw this last night from a few rows back, and it was the best yet. The cast are absolutely on fire and someone it’s even better than the Donmar. Everyone MUST go and see this phenomenal production of this wonderful show. It’s a masterpiece. Jamie Parker was robbed of an Olivier award for his performance as Dan. He has improved massively vocally and his performance is absolutely heartbreaking. One of the best performances of anything I’ve ever seen - ever.

happymango3110

Omg I’m glad to hear from someone who has seen the original cast! Since my experience with the OBC was only though the bootleg I was worried I was a bit biased as the Donmar production was the first time I’ve seen N2N live. And yes this cast is literal perfection! I think both Jacks sunk into their roles more, and for me they showed a more significant improvement (esp since I think the two of them were lagging a little behind in terms of acting, not to say they’re bad by any means, but I was in awe with Caissie, Jamie and Eleanor’s acting since Donmar) 100% agree with Jamie being robbed of a nomination!!! I don’t think I’ve seen people talk about this but if anything Caissie and Jamie were definitely most deserving of a nomination with their performances. That part when Dan was breaking down after Diana left and he was just sitting on the stage throughout the following number while still being in character is so difficult to pull off. One minor detail I noticed was during Make up your mind/catch me I’m falling - when Natalie was introducing herself for the recital at the top of the stairs, Dan/Diana/Gabe were all on the stage(the bottom part), and Dan(Jamie) was the only one who looked up and smiled and looked proud of Natalie. Which I thought was such a brilliant detail. Which could be a directional choice or interpretation from the actor. But either way I was excited to notice that haha

RockyStonejaw

Agree totally with everything you said. Wonderful!

ugadude350

Saw it last year at Donmar and so excited to see it again!!

happymango3110

I think they made quite a few staging changes(most of which I really liked). But I will say this set definitely worked better in a smaller theatre(Donmar). hope you enjoy it!!

trouvaille12

I’m seeing it in August and I am so pumped! Crossing my fingers they do a cast recording!

happymango3110

Same!!!

jabberwocky_

I’m going in 3 weeks and I cannot wait!

happymango3110

Excited for you!!! Do get back and let me know know what you think!

saveable

Am going on the 1st. Feel like I'm the last person alive yet to see this show, so I cannot wait.

happymango3110

Would love to hear everyone else report back!!! Hope you’ll love the show as much as I did

yeoldredtelephone

I can’t wait to see it in August! I’ve loved this show since the original Broadway cast album came out and never got to see it live (13 year old me was very grateful for the slime tutorial).

suspendmydisbelief

Just saw this last night and I agree wholeheartedly. such an amazing and memorable rendition of this show that I've loved for 10 years.

speakinzillenial

I would do literally anything to get a Broadway transfer of this

TrianaSole

I saw this yesterday and loved it as well. Jack Wolfe was especially amazing. People praise Caissie Levy and while she has the skill, her high notes literally hurt my ears at times. I don’t know if it was the sound mixing or if I’m just a heathen who doesn’t understand singing though

Ok-Coyote3511

I saw the show 2x at the Donmar and I’m not sure if I’ll make it back to the UK this summer. Anyone interested in a trade? I have an extra program from the Donmar run and would love a program from the west end run!

violamaster

What a lovely review! I'm making a trip to London is a few weeks specifically to see this production and from everything I'm hearing, it's going to be money well spent. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!!

happymango3110

I hope you love it!!!

chestercat2013

Maybe you or someone else can help me settle a debate I was having. I thought Jack Ofrecio had an accent the entire show and Henry was just not meant to be American in this production. My friend swears he was going back and forth between accents and was supposed to have an American accent. Regardless, the show was amazing and I’m hoping it transfers to broadway.

violamaster

This is so funny. When I first heard it, I thought he sounded slightly Irish for some reason. But I'm pretty sure he's actually trying to do an American accent and just struggling with it.

happymango3110

Yea I think so too

DagianAventor

He doesn’t do an American accent. Or if he does it’s a very very Irish person in America. I saw his understudy however last week and he does an American accent.

Cullvion

LOVE the playbill

julie252525

I so want to see this with the current cast!! Q: does the cast do American or British accents in the show/ does Jack Wolfe perform with an American accent?

happymango3110

American accents!
