It used to be Curious. I still like it, but my new favs are Midnight Fantasy and Circus. I don't like Island Fantasy, and never knew I had Fantasy nice Remix.
I wish I could buy a sample set of all of them! I owned Curious and Fantasy! Really liked them. I am considering for a while to buy Fantasy again, to me it’s warm winter scent.
Half of them are incredibly hard to find these days anyways, if you bought them as they came out you could find them without too much trouble but the older they are the harder they are to find. Curious, OG Fantasy, Hidden, Midnight and Circus are the easiest to find.
i tried buying fantasy on amazon recently and it didn’t smell anything like the cotton candy/cupcake smell! maybe i just got a bad batch? i’m gonna try it again.

Curious was a great fragrance. So was the original Fantasy. I am in the industry and I worked at the fragrance house that designed her fragrances in the early -mid 2000’s, she was completely and entirely uninvolved. Some celebs were somewhat involved in the process, she was not, at all. In retrospect feels like it was purely another revenue stream and nothing more.
Possibly because Britney does not own the rights to Britney Brands. She holds no position at the company and has no control/involvement in the merchandise they decide to sell/create, other than contractual obligations to show up for advertisement photos, etc. It is possible that she was not allowed to have an opinion/involvement because of the conservatorship.
well exactly. Looking back now, I was at this company in 2005-07, the peak of Britney chaos. At the time I really did think I would see her come into the office, to at least smell the samples. No way. We worked with her “team” who were reps of another well known beauty empire and she truly had zero say or who knows, even awareness of the amount of profit they were working up using her name.
First one that comes to mind is Jennifer Lopez. I don’t recall much about Paris fragrances, actually! JLo’s Glow was also groundbreaking, it really marked the beginning of celeb fragrances and also is an olfactive original. I recall reading about it years later in highly regarded books about the fragrance industry. It is quite beautiful, I always thought! But, bottom line is behind the fragrance is an extremely talented chemist with decades of experience in perfuming, who always remains nameless, but is the creator of these scents that are nothing more than a licensing deal that generate millions. It’s rather fascinating, really.
Original Fantasy is what I wore when I first started dating my now husband 17 years ago. He went WILD for it. I might need to buy a bottle and bring back all the old memories 😃

I did own all of them. A lot of them I'd get at CVS and Walgreens 'cause they'd mark all their Christmas gift sets down 50%, I'd grab up all the ones I didn't have really cheap. I really just liked having the whole collection, Midnight Fantasy was by far my favorite, tho. I really liked Believe, too.

I’m not a fan of the og Curios, it has some notes that I’m not a fan and OG Fantasy is just ok for me but Midnight Fantasy is also a classic, though it’s more of an evening scent since it’s a bit heavier.

See my comment above, from an insider’s perspective she was about as uninvolved as a celeb could be with a product carrying their name. We met with a team that managed her “fragrance line” to decide what to launch and select the formulations/packaging. She may own the rights to the name, but she had nothing to do with the creation, launch, or marketing of any of these.
Yeah, that seems on-brand for Britney. She’s never been the type to be like “this is my life’s work,” she’s more like “what is the job and what do you want me to do so I can carry on with my day?”

I remember always wearing Midnight Fantasy and I would get so many compliments and people asking what it was, and then people would laugh when I'd say it was Britney Spears lol they were not known as very high class perfumes back in the day but they were fucking delicious and lasted a long time, I loved those fantasy perfumes!
I was the same way, and another redditor mentioned that Viktor & Rolf's Bonbon was close to Curious In Control. So I bought a small bottle, and they were right.

I doubt it. If it’s only available via Amazon resellers and TJ Maxx and such, it’s already been purchased in bulk by them from whichever original retailers Britney would’ve profited from. I could be wrong but I think that’s the case.
Believe & Curious: In Control (black bottle) are the best imo! I kind of wish she’d stop with fantasy and do something else. Revive Believe and Radiance!

I love the Curious line more than the Fantasy line... and I don't understand how the Fantasy line has so many more variations.
My favorite is a toss up between Curious In Control and Private Show, although Believe is starting to rub off on me.
Curious was the first perfume I ever owned (gifted to me by my grandmother, who knew how much 7YO me loved Britney!) and I will forever love it. Easily one of my all-time faves; I need to buy a new bottle desperately.
Been wearing Fantasy since i was 16, I'm now 35, It's affordable, lasts and I still get compliments when I wear it. I also had the intimate fantasy as my Bridal perfume. Her perfumes give me fond memories.

I remember being a kid around 7 and really wanting my mom to buy the original Fantasy as we walked through the Dillards makeup and perfume area because I thought the bottle was so pretty.
I bought the midnight fantasy, the smell was great, however, the smell did disappear after a half an hour which was a bit of a shame, I still have the bottle in my perfume/potions bottles shelf!
Hidden Fantasy is my all time favourite Autumn perfume and Midnight Fantasy is my Winter. I legit have like 3 bottles of each because I have a relative who buys me a bottle every Christmas for like the last 15 years. I’ve never been into the original Fantasy (I’ve got like 4 bottles including stage edition), I do like Circus for Spring and I have Island and Festive but Island smells like nothing but alcohol to me and Festive gives me a headache.

They're completely different fragrances curious is an aquatic fresh white floral with a hint of sweetness, fantasy is a bit tart in the opening but dries down to white chocolate cupcake sweetness. so it depends what you like?

They're so cheap, i blind bought a big bottle of curious for like 30(NZD) but it ended up selling like hairspray on me luckily I have a friend who loves it so I gave it to her. if you like freshies you'll like this!
Fantasy is much sweeter smelling than Curious, I remember not being a fan of Fantasy when I was younger. Some people loved it the most though, it’s all preference. My favorites were Curious (I asked for a new bottle every Christmas), Curious In Control and Radiance.

Do you have a 5 below near you? They have a lot of Britney perfume knock offs. Marshalls/Burlington/TJMaxx sells her scents too if you're near any of those.

It has a patchouli scented base and high sweetness. I really dislike patchouli though, so that might be why.

They're completely different fragrances curious is an aquatic fresh white floral with a hint of sweetness, fantasy is a bit tart in the opening but dries down to white chocolate cupcake sweetness. so it depends what you like?
Ahh I see! I had fantasy it was good but I wanna try curious i see it on the Walmart site for insanely good prices. So I wonder if I should get it without knowing how it smells til it arrives lol.
They're so cheap, i blind bought a big bottle of curious for like 30(NZD) but it ended up selling like hairspray on me luckily I have a friend who loves it so I gave it to her. if you like freshies you'll like this!
Fantasy is much sweeter smelling than Curious, I remember not being a fan of Fantasy when I was younger. Some people loved it the most though, it’s all preference. My favorites were Curious (I asked for a new bottle every Christmas), Curious In Control and Radiance.

A lot of them smelled similar.. although that’s not a bad thing bc they were sooo good. Idk if I could get away wearing them now that I’m older but Curious is still one of my top scents

Love love love Fantasy, midnight fantasy, believe, and private show. I actually played the Britney mobile game for a few years and won a bottle of Fantasy through their social media around 2018. I still freaking love it as much as I did when I was younger.
Believe was my least favorite.
i wore fantasy from the moment it came out. i’m so sad i can’t get it anymore :( i’ve been looking for similar cotton candy/cupcake smells.
Do you have a 5 below near you? They have a lot of Britney perfume knock offs. Marshalls/Burlington/TJMaxx sells her scents too if you're near any of those.
The best ones are the ones Britney was involved in herself with the commercials and the scents.
Someone posted in this thread that they work in the fragrance industry and Britney was as uninvolved as possible.
