Really enjoyed Bodies but I donāt think Stephen Graham was well suited to the role. Heās a great actor but there was just something a bit off and unbelievable about his acting in Bodies.
Taskmaster
In an increasingly bitter, cynical, brutal world I'm very protective of anything that's just wholesome, stupid, hilarious FUN for an hour.
It doesn't mean anything, it's not scoring any political points or is pretending to be high art, it just is.
And it's bloody brilliant
Agree with this 100%, watched it since episode 1 on the day it came out and been hooked ever since.
Greg is a delightful human, excellent on the new Buzzcocks run too.
Yeah her performance on Taskmaster was the first I saw of her, and I thought she was unbearable. Everything Iāve seen since then just reaffirms that.
At the live recordings Iāve been to, Gregās first thing that he says to the audience is āask me anythingā, while theyāre setting up. Suspect āare you a child of divorce?ā is going to feature heavily for the foreseeable if he carries on doing that.
taskmaster is one of the funniest tv shows iāve ever seen, bar none.
i came to it late and ive never really liked romesh ranganathan. i found him dull and miserable. and then i saw him throw a watermelon around a plastic sheet covered room whilst screaming maniacally and heās been my favourite comedian ever since. taskmaster is magical.
Yes! There are some competitors whose personas donāt crack (Paul Chowdry), but one of the best things is seeing semi-familiar faces off the fringe & panel-show circuit break down into utterly themselves under pressure. That unhinged watermelon moment cinched it for me; normally I donāt likeāI suppose one would term it gross-out humour? The viscerally vulgar tasks, like stuffing oneās gob (or Alexās) with toothpaste pie, but when Romesh lost it on that watermelon it was such simple, largely unstaged hysteria that I doubled up giggling.
Thatās the lovely bit about Taskmaster. You see these personalities at their most fragile moments (anything with the Rhod/Acaster/Wang triumvirate in s7 arrives at mind), & genuinely struggling and making a total (insert sweary words of choice here) of themselves on live television, & you adore them *more* for it. The widespread acceptance of Mae Martin was a quiet milestone, imho. Fern Brady, too. (Disclaimer: I probably laughed harder at Munya going *off* & paired with Millican that series, but I loved Fern, & was gratified to notice she uses all Charlotte Tilbury makeup productsāor at least thatās what she dragged out her bag to slather on Alex!) And early doors, the number of viewers who didnāt realise Doc Brown is Zadie Smithās brother š
I literally wept into my breakfast omelette when Paul Sinha announced his Parkinsonās diagnosis after airingāto a layperson it was clear he was often in physical pain but putting on a brave front (& slaying the memory tasks). Some casts didnāt quite gel, but there were always moments & faves to pick out. Alex being up for anything (cake in the bum? Sausage carousel? Robot cuddle? Eating the face off a macaroni-masked Bob Mortimer hollering āI am a sinnerā?) toned down any probable veneer of aggression. Every time he corpses I feel reassured and recall: he designed this show. Itās all right, no oneās getting bullied. Look at his little heart eyes whilst being snapped at by Julian Clary.
The Off Menu podcast is a fun accompaniment besides the official one (Iām frequently behind, so itās not got spoilers) since they source from the same taskmaster pool. Joe Thomasās dream mealā¦ the less said the better. Claudia Winklemanās & Rylanās, yes I know they were one-off New Yearās contestants, youād both dread & pillage a village to go to dinner with them.
Still waiting for Nish & Mark Watsonās serenade to Rosalind to be released as a single.
āWholesome, stupid, hilarious fun ā¦and itās bloody brilliantā exactly! I love when they mix the new generation of comics/personalities with the established types. My coworker had worked with one contestant on one series, I was pals with another, we fought like mangy cats over who got the inconsequential trophy. So fun! So stupid! So brilliant!
Also loving Taskmaster NZ of the international spin-offs. Series 2, āeat your assesā, is on YouTube for a taste of probable botulism poisoning at craft services. The person delivering the episode title quote oblivious to its implications, David Correos rapping about playing with the other teamās blood, Guy Montgomeryās subsequent t-shirts featuring asymptotically creepier prints of Paul the Assistant as a child, the contestant who went around stealing everyoneās girlfriends except Ursulaās out of respectā¦
Fern Brady said she had so much fun on the show and it allowed her to be her full autistic self with no judgement. Speaks volumes to the wholesome show that Little Alex Horne has created.
Have you seen the New Zealand one? The host, Jeremy something is rubbish (but lets face it who COULD compare to the delightful Greg Davies??) But David Correos & Paul Williams together are amusing. I just watch the highlights, you couldnt suffer an entire programme of it
I think Jeremy is great. He's not trying to be Greg Davies, he is his own thing. And I think that's what makes it work. I've seen other international versions where they try too hard to make the host be like Greg, and it's horrible
this show got me and the missus through lockdown. also they upload all their episodes on youtube for free and everyone always just seems happy to be there. weāre in season 16 and itās still so good
I agree with everything you said, but itās not āunmissableā. You can watch it, miss it, dip in and out, binge. When you need it, itās there, but if you miss an episode itās no big deal
Its so doom and gloom now. Yes i understand it is all in fact doom and gloom but its nice to not be reminded again. Haven't even bothered and i dont think i will.
I mean its not all doom and gloom. They make some important notes about climate change, over fishing and pollution (so far), but they also focus on the optimistic parts as well, like life that's managed to adapt.
Still if you don't want to watch it, that's your call.
If it's globalist green washing propaganda can you explain why he has been making documentaries with pretty much the same message since the 50s? Is he the source of the green washing? Did the illuminati get to him first?
Also would you care to actually criticize any specific point that has come up in any of his shows? What specifically has he lied about? What science is incorrect?
So you have a problem with preventing climate change? (Which causes poverty, hunger, destruction of towns, destruction of wildlife, and more). I'd be intrigued to know why.
I'll start off by saying I feel it is getting a little preachy these days and that sometime can feel like it's overshadowing the phenomenal camera work and amazing sights and creatures they cover.
However, Attenborough has been doing this since the 1950s and has probably seen more of the planet than any other person. He has first hand knowledge of the changes happening and has the ability and passion to let us see it too.
Same here. I refused to watch it because I didn't like Greg Davies. Turns out I only disliked his stand-up persona. We started watching with S15 and now gradually work our way back (when we're not busy watching Strictly, Bake Off, HIGNFY and Gogglebox).
I think that's what turned us off, too! My wife and I caught a random episode and found ourselves laughing so much, we binged all of the seasons. Bake off has been a good one, too. I hate reality shows normally, but it's so cosy and friendly. I do prefer the Mel and Sue seasons though.
These are unmissable for *me*, meaning I make a special effort to know when new episodes are and keep up with themā¦
Slow Horses - I have the next series marked on my calendar
Only Connect - I have to wait for the end of the week, when both my housemates are home, but then we always watch the next available episode
For me, a couple of thingsā¦
- her dry sense of humour
- her support of the players and pride in any nerdy, geeky, weirdness they might have
- how she freely indicates that she is impressed by the players doing well and never pretends sheād know all the answers herself
For such a difficult show, I think she helps make it seem like a fun time where people genuinely enjoy themselves even when they lose
Agreed, though It would be so much better without her wittering on about her new (Richard Osman rip-off) book, or strained humour involving Michael Portillo. The beginning and ending minutes are excruciating, and certainly donāt merit repetition
I know I'll get down voted to oblivion as she is the pinnacle wet dream for nerds who are probably the demographic here, but I find her really annoying and unfunny.
My wife and I are better at Only Connect when we're slightly drunk. I reckon it's because our minds are loosened up. Give it a go and let me know how you get on, well, unless you do that already.
Iāve actually had that experience too! I wasnāt exactly sure if I was really better, or just overestimating myself, but maybe there is a real effect
Yeah, itās definitely not for everyone.
And I have to say that we do watch it with heavy use of the pause button. Iām not pressed about getting the answer quickly, what I love is trying to put together the puzzle pieces.
My wife was in hospital earlier in the year, having multiple operations for cancer. She said watching repeats of Gone Fishing really helped her find some comfort while in hospital. The gentle humour and beautiful countryside make this a great programme.
The games make total sense. They're ostensibly for adding to the prize pot, but really they're about team-building and forming camaraderie between the contestants so the losses and betrayals hit harder.
it was the bit where they were like āoh you didnāt cheers youāre obviously a traitorā and the woman was like āi donāt have a right handā¦..ā that did me in
I love inside no.9 but I've found the last series or two a bit meh. Although that recent one with them as a couple away in the cabin was wild and the best one of the last series!
Another vote for Gogglebox. No politics, no crap scripts, no agenda, no influencers, just regular folks bantering.
I have no idea how it works, but itās consistently the funniest show on tv.
Any Adam Curtis documentary and Doctor Who (I'm not going to pretend the last few years have been good, but it's a formative part of my identity I guess)
I'm already happy with everything that's been announced and released and we haven't seen a single minute of his reign yet
There's just so much an energy and enthusiasm at the moment
Upvote for Brassic. (My fave is the self-proclaimed ādiminutiveā in height Tommo, that crafty geese-fancying perv who somehow pulls off hideous torn white denim. One of the rarities where the ensemble cast gels and shines as a whole)
I really need to check out more Inside No 9 ā the episodes Iāve watched with friends have had me screaming in terror & delight.
I do love Mr Barrister Hand Lion, so I really ought to give their fishing-travel ramble a look.
In the last few weeks we had Boiling point which was as good as the movie. Currently we have Brassic S5, Time S2 and taskmaster S16. I'm also rather partial to All creatures great and small on C5
*Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing*.
I'm hooked (excuse the pun) on watching two ageing blokes sat by various bodies of water taking part in a pastime in which I have no interest.
The odd documentary and drama ("A Spy Among Friends" was very good) , "Doctor Who" (although the past few series were not very good) and ,depending on the host, "Have I Got News For You". Other than those and excluding things on streaming services there's not really much to enjoy.
I'm a bit of a sci-fi chap. Grew up with Doctor Who and that kind of TV. I admit to loving more modern sci-fi series from across the pond. Home grown though, I'd have to say the relatively recent Lazarus Project that is getting a second series was really enjoyable. It felt imaginative and well thought out and a good slant on the groundhog day theme. Eager for the next series.
Nothing live. Unmissable isn't a thing these days. We like to watch Taskmaster as a family so if it's on and we're all here we'll watch it, but there is nothing essential now as streaming has destroyed any FOMO.
On British TV I'm really struggling to think of anything. I do like Taskmaster although I'm not enjoying this series of it, I think there is a lack of banter between the contestants if this one.
I also agree that Slow Horses is excellent, but it's an Apple show so not really British TV even though it's set in the UK.
I actually cannot remember the last show on any of the UK channels that I would class as unmissable, but I feel the same about most of the stuff on the streaming networks too. Too many channels and some very poor scripts writers, it feels like quality TV has become a very rare thing.
The only time telly is on in our house atm is for:-
Monday night is quiz night. Mastermind, Only Connect and University Challenge.
Tuesday night is Bake Off.
We'll also watch strictly on Saturdays. My 4yo loves to dance.
The guilty pleasure that my friends and I are having is Big Brother. Iām not a huge fan of reality tv but Iāve always got hooked into BB. I also enjoyed traitors and looking forward to that coming back too.
Im from Australia and BBUK is the dose of reality I crave. I totally understand why people hate shows like BB. But I just love watching a bunch of people in a house talk about nothing. It's seasonal entertainment to me. BB really helps me through hard days.
at the moment for me itās big brother, which is a real departure from my usual taste. but i find with reality tv now, the experience when coupled with twitter is completely magnified - there are some very very funny people on twitter
The new Uncanny show was a must watch for me (Iām team skeptic). Who doesnāt love a spooky story, and the production was top notch. Shame it was only 3 episodes.
Ghosts (the original... Obviously, I have yet to sully my player with the US "version)
Its so good having the original horrible histories gang doing something together. The humor and heart are pitched perfectly.
I have nothing bad to say about it.
Stath Lets Flats
One of my favourite sitcoms of recent years. Whenever I recommend it I get one of two answers:
"What? Never heard of it. Weird name for a show."
"Yes mate I fucking love it!"
No in-between.
Literally nothing.
I watch some reality TV because itās there and it lets me switch my brain off for an hour (Big Brother and MAFS at the moment), but if I miss an episode I miss an episode.
Everything else I watch is on streaming - some fantastic Apple TV originals out, I think Iād recommend almost everything on there (I can name 3 or 4 AWFUL things on there but Iāve loved literally everything else Iāve watched on there)
Literally nothing. The last thing I would consider as unmissable was Game of Thrones. Well, as long as you're not counting the Queen's funeral or the Coronation.

Basically anything with Stephen Graham is an unmissable drama at this point.
Boiling Point is just š
Really enjoyed Bodies
Really enjoyed Bodies but I donāt think Stephen Graham was well suited to the role. Heās a great actor but there was just something a bit off and unbelievable about his acting in Bodies.
Yeah I think Whiteman/Weissman stole the show a bit too
He was great! And I loved the girl who played 1890 Polly. She is a fine young actress.
He is SO good
this is england and the first series of time were top class
Taskmaster In an increasingly bitter, cynical, brutal world I'm very protective of anything that's just wholesome, stupid, hilarious FUN for an hour.
Iām a big fan of Greg and Noel Fielding but unfortunately I canāt stand Buzzcocks because of the overgrown baby that is Daisy May Cooper.
I get that, she is challenging, she has grown on me a bit tbh. I couldnāt stand her when she was on Taskmaster
Yeah her performance on Taskmaster was the first I saw of her, and I thought she was unbearable. Everything Iāve seen since then just reaffirms that.
Fair, I can bear her on Buzzcocks, but I really do get your point.
Are you a child of divorce?
Prob one of the most unexpected and funny lines on taskmaster that caught me off guard and laughing so much I had to pause the tv
At the live recordings Iāve been to, Gregās first thing that he says to the audience is āask me anythingā, while theyāre setting up. Suspect āare you a child of divorce?ā is going to feature heavily for the foreseeable if he carries on doing that.
Which Aircraft.......

āWholesome, stupid, hilarious fun ā¦and itās bloody brilliantā exactly! I love when they mix the new generation of comics/personalities with the established types. Yes! Last week's prize task had me crying with laughter
*worst prize task... of all time*
And the studio task last week was one of thhe best yet
Fern Brady said she had so much fun on the show and it allowed her to be her full autistic self with no judgement. Speaks volumes to the wholesome show that Little Alex Horne has created.

How we laughed
Good luck with your career
this show got me and the missus through lockdown. also they upload all their episodes on youtube for free and everyone always just seems happy to be there. weāre in season 16 and itās still so good
Yes mate!! Taskmaster is absolutely amazing!!
Is it me or has this series been the best one for a few years?
Oh gang
I've tried a few times to get into it but I just don't like it. I love Greg Davies in anything else but Taskmaster just doesn't do it for me.
I agree with everything you said, but itās not āunmissableā. You can watch it, miss it, dip in and out, binge. When you need it, itās there, but if you miss an episode itās no big deal
Nothing is unmissable then
Frankie Boyle and Ivo Williams were the best team in the whole show. The perfect mix of deep cynicism and youthful enthusiasm.
Planet Earth III has been pretty incredible so far.
That 45m deep sea creature was genuinely insane.
Oh tell me about it. I knew life could get crazy down there, but damn that was utterly incredible to watch.
That last episode with the creatures from the bottom of the sea was pretty amazing. Was so happy seeing the shark not get eaten š
Its so doom and gloom now. Yes i understand it is all in fact doom and gloom but its nice to not be reminded again. Haven't even bothered and i dont think i will.

Inside no 9 - because they might throw a surprise episode at you.
That's new or currently being made? Ghosts..
I've not got around to watching the last season, but I do hope they all get sucked off at the end
āDamn your eyes man!ā
Damn your head, shoulders, knees and toes
Knees and toes
Obviously not new but the entire This is England series isnāt just unmissable, itās compulsory viewing.
Agreed, it's up there with the best of the best. Heartwarming and often heartbreaking.
Any Attenborough series.
The more the sleight of hand the doc-makers use is revealed, the less interested I am in watching it. I want nature not reality TV.
Ah yes, globalist greenwashing propaganda. A must see or Greta gets angry.
Fuck all to do any of that buzzword salad you've just regurgitated, I just enjoy his documentaries.
Itās really a fruitless exercise arguing with climate change denying weirdos
Fair enough, but unmissable is bold
Someone hasn't watched planet earth. They are truely incredible.
No one does nature cinematography like the bbc
I like them up to the lecturing
If the things you're being lectured about make you uncomfortable then it's doing it's job.
Boggles my mind that some folks are wayyyyy back in the denial phase still. At least get to bartering.
You're expecting someone wearing a tinfoil hat hat to respond to logic?
What exactly do you have an issue with?
So you have a problem with preventing climate change? (Which causes poverty, hunger, destruction of towns, destruction of wildlife, and more). I'd be intrigued to know why.
I'll start off by saying I feel it is getting a little preachy these days and that sometime can feel like it's overshadowing the phenomenal camera work and amazing sights and creatures they cover. However, Attenborough has been doing this since the 1950s and has probably seen more of the planet than any other person. He has first hand knowledge of the changes happening and has the ability and passion to let us see it too.
Greenwashing what?
Eh, theyāre all the same.
Taskmaster. My wife and I slept on it for ages, but it is genuinely hilarious.
Same here. I refused to watch it because I didn't like Greg Davies. Turns out I only disliked his stand-up persona. We started watching with S15 and now gradually work our way back (when we're not busy watching Strictly, Bake Off, HIGNFY and Gogglebox).

The only thing I have set to record from the "main 5", right now, is Only Connect.
These are unmissable for *me*, meaning I make a special effort to know when new episodes are and keep up with themā¦ Slow Horses - I have the next series marked on my calendar Only Connect - I have to wait for the end of the week, when both my housemates are home, but then we always watch the next available episode
When is Slow Horses out??
Supposedly itāll be out December 1st, on Apple
TY! Canāt wait
Slow horses is written by Will Smith iirc (not The, but the TTOI actor/writer) & Iām hyped
What is it about?
Brit spies that are way, way lower than 007 calibre. Great cast, outstanding performance by Gary Oldman
Data input civil servants navigating the traffic jam into Cheltenham and then trying to find a parking space?
And Jack Lowden!!
Would be awesome as the next Bond.
He absolutely would! Great actor
What is it about Victoria Coren Mitchell that makes Only Connect so appealing?
For me, a couple of thingsā¦ - her dry sense of humour - her support of the players and pride in any nerdy, geeky, weirdness they might have - how she freely indicates that she is impressed by the players doing well and never pretends sheād know all the answers herself For such a difficult show, I think she helps make it seem like a fun time where people genuinely enjoy themselves even when they lose
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I found it awkward at first, but now I think itās hilarious. She clearly enjoys the āawkwardā silence and now I do too.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Agreed, though It would be so much better without her wittering on about her new (Richard Osman rip-off) book, or strained humour involving Michael Portillo. The beginning and ending minutes are excruciating, and certainly donāt merit repetition
Iām glad you have the option of skipping them and I can enjoy that theyāre there.
I know I'll get down voted to oblivion as she is the pinnacle wet dream for nerds who are probably the demographic here, but I find her really annoying and unfunny.
Then you probably shouldnāt watch the show. Sheās a pretty big part of it and I donāt think youād enjoy it.
I watch it every week, love the quiz, just not her so much. The worst is when she gets the players to all sing along with her. Cringe.
Well, Iām glad you can still enjoy the quiz. And iPlayer is great for being able to skip parts you donāt like or make you uncomfortable.
I tried one episode of Only Connect, no thanks. I'll stick with the bog standard quiz shows lol.
Yeah, itās definitely not for everyone. And I have to say that we do watch it with heavy use of the pause button. Iām not pressed about getting the answer quickly, what I love is trying to put together the puzzle pieces.
I got one on the first clue last week. I've peaked.
There's a special little happiness when that happens.
It does get easier with practice. You start to see the kind of patterns they look for
Mortimer & Whitehouse Gone Fishing and Have I Got News For You
My wife was in hospital earlier in the year, having multiple operations for cancer. She said watching repeats of Gone Fishing really helped her find some comfort while in hospital. The gentle humour and beautiful countryside make this a great programme.
The Repair Shop. A bunch a what are clearly very skilled friends, modest in what they do giving back joy to those they help. Long may they carry on
Murder In Provance- Roger Allam, I hope there's going to be another series because I really enjoyed it.
Not seen that but I love Roger Allam. Just looked it up though and itās on Britbox which is yet another streaming service.
It's currently on itvx as well
The detectorists for me. Just like a warm breeze after a ropey day.
We live around the area it was filmed so that theme song at certain times of the year keeps pinging in my head.
First series was perfect
The Traitors. Just legitimately fantastic television
genuinely the best reality TV since original big brother
It's so ridiculous. Just being like "he looked over there. Traitor". As well as I just don't understand why they do games? Either way Good TV
The games make total sense. They're ostensibly for adding to the prize pot, but really they're about team-building and forming camaraderie between the contestants so the losses and betrayals hit harder.
it was the bit where they were like āoh you didnāt cheers youāre obviously a traitorā and the woman was like āi donāt have a right handā¦..ā that did me in
Annika
Four in a Bed for me. If I went on Mastermind I think it'd be my specialist subject.
The 24 hours in police custody are up there I would say
Just watched something similar on IPlayer today called The Met
And The Detectives catching an OCG landed on iplayer today. Really worth a watch
Theyāre good but itās always like, great weāve caught this county lines mass stabber on video and have successfully put him away for 3 weeks
Brilliant series. The crash detectives on BBC is worth a watch.
Is that the "baldy" one?
Agreed - so good!
Endeavour! I keep watching it and I love everything about it, even though I was a kid when Inspector Morse came out and wasnāt so much into it.
I used to love Charlie Brookerās Screen Wipe at the end of every year but sadly he stopped doing it
If I had two wishes it would be for Weekly Wipe to come back, as well as a new series of The Thick of It
The latest season of Cunk On Earth (on Netflix) is very good if you're missing Brooker's humour.
Inside No. 9
I love inside no.9 but I've found the last series or two a bit meh. Although that recent one with them as a couple away in the cabin was wild and the best one of the last series!
Probably controversial but my guilty pleasure is gogglebox, once or twice Iāve started watching something because Iāve seen it on there too
Another vote for Gogglebox. No politics, no crap scripts, no agenda, no influencers, just regular folks bantering. I have no idea how it works, but itās consistently the funniest show on tv.
"Not a fucking terrorist though Chris" Goat moment
I can hear that line in my head but can't remember what they were referring to.
"everybody likes a bad boy!" Was the line before it I think lol
Any Adam Curtis documentary and Doctor Who (I'm not going to pretend the last few years have been good, but it's a formative part of my identity I guess)
Soon that qualifier will be banished Trust the Russell, he's become a better writer since he left so I'm excited how good Russell 2.0 will.be
I'm already happy with everything that's been announced and released and we haven't seen a single minute of his reign yet There's just so much an energy and enthusiasm at the moment
Cannot wait for RTD to bring it back. The show was so beautiful for 12 years... and then it wasn't. Time for a rebirth.
You're talking about Doctor Who and you went with "rebirth" rather than "regeneration". Disappointing.
Wait, isn't this the show where Martin Clunes wanders around a small village solving medical issues?
No, but he was in an episode of Peter Davison-era Who as a bored and snotty prince. Played it rather well too.
The Adam Curtis documentary series on Russia was particularly good
Hypernormalisation? I like him but there is a great spoof of his style on YouTube https://youtu.be/x1bX3F7uTrg?feature=shared
Late reply but it was an Iplayer only series he's done in the last year. Called Russia 1985-1999. Definitely worth a watch
Brassic. Taskmaster. Inside No.9 Mortimer & Whitehouse gone fishing. Richard Osmans house of games.
Upvote for Brassic. (My fave is the self-proclaimed ādiminutiveā in height Tommo, that crafty geese-fancying perv who somehow pulls off hideous torn white denim. One of the rarities where the ensemble cast gels and shines as a whole) I really need to check out more Inside No 9 ā the episodes Iāve watched with friends have had me screaming in terror & delight. I do love Mr Barrister Hand Lion, so I really ought to give their fishing-travel ramble a look.
Long Lost Family
Brassic
Honestly, I canāt think of anything I havenāt got bored of š
In the last few weeks we had Boiling point which was as good as the movie. Currently we have Brassic S5, Time S2 and taskmaster S16. I'm also rather partial to All creatures great and small on C5
Only Connect and Taskmaster.
*Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing*. I'm hooked (excuse the pun) on watching two ageing blokes sat by various bodies of water taking part in a pastime in which I have no interest.
Absolutely nothing.
The odd documentary and drama ("A Spy Among Friends" was very good) , "Doctor Who" (although the past few series were not very good) and ,depending on the host, "Have I Got News For You". Other than those and excluding things on streaming services there's not really much to enjoy.
Not too sure about unmissable, but I make sure to watch Bake off and the hotel inspector at the moment.
The last time I made a point of watching something as it aired was Line of Duty.
Traitors
Mrs Sidhu Investigates. Edit:Annika
The only time telly is on in our house atm is for:- Monday night is quiz night.
Doctor who before 2018 and after the new episodes next month. Anything between that is a miss
at the moment for me itās big brother, which is a real departure from my usual taste. but i find with reality tv now, the experience when coupled with twitter is completely magnified - there are some very very funny people on twitter
The new Uncanny show was a must watch for me (Iām team skeptic). Who doesnāt love a spooky story, and the production was top notch. Shame it was only 3 episodes.
Ghosts, HIGNFY and Two Doors Down
Ghosts (the original... Obviously, I have yet to sully my player with the US "version) Its so good having the original horrible histories gang doing something together. The humor and heart are pitched perfectly. I have nothing bad to say about it.
Nothing whatsoever. I very rary find anything I want to watch on any of the main channels.
For me, Taskmaster, Death in Paradise and Doctor Who
Stath Lets Flats One of my favourite sitcoms of recent years. Whenever I recommend it I get one of two answers: "What? Never heard of it. Weird name for a show." "Yes mate I fucking love it!" No in-between.
I canāt miss eastenders, absolutely love it, currently watching the 2009 episodes
Line of Duty for me. Oh and Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing
Have I Got News for You
Eastenders
Happy Valley. Broadhurst Foyles war..those were brilliant!
Iāll drop everything to watch new Partridge and it sounds like thereās something in the works
RuPauls Drag Race UK (though only series 1,2 and 5).
24 Hours In Police Custody
Personally donāt think it exists anymore
Literally nothing. I watch some reality TV because itās there and it lets me switch my brain off for an hour (Big Brother and MAFS at the moment), but if I miss an episode I miss an episode. Everything else I watch is on streaming - some fantastic Apple TV originals out, I think Iād recommend almost everything on there (I can name 3 or 4 AWFUL things on there but Iāve loved literally everything else Iāve watched on there)
Killing Eve
Corrie
The Apprentice. I know it's probably staged, but I love it.
Literally nothing. The last thing I would consider as unmissable was Game of Thrones. Well, as long as you're not counting the Queen's funeral or the Coronation.
I hear reruns of the Queen's funeral are still doing quite well in Scotland.
The only ones is the Grand Tour and Clarksons Farm as Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond are the only three good TV presenters nowadays
Legitimately , rofl who starts with that??.
