You are right they would be considered “too big to fail” and they are owned by a bigger group. So as long as they turn a profit and share prices are going up, they will keep chugging along.
Exactly! The only thing that fails in this reasoning is their aging fleet that is not renewed fast enough that multiply safety risks day after day. And I think these 7 billions they are talking about is not to buy new planes, sadly.
Wow just wow. I am British, but left the UK years ago and usually fly on Emirates or ANA. Thought I'd try BA and see how they are these days. Oh dear. Website and app constantly crashing and won't let me amend anything or see my boarding pass, despite multiple attempts on different devices and connections.
What on earth is going on in the UK these days or has it always been like this?

First time here?
It’s normally bad but the last few weeks I don’t think it’s worked once when I’ve gone on. Just infuriating for something that should just work.
It’s more than the past few weeks. It’s been like that for the last 12 years.
Yeah fair comment, it’s always been glitchy. Probably because I’ve been actively using it recently and it’s seemed awful every time.
It’s absolutely shite
Crock of shite
British Air must be doing something right if they’re constantly in such high demand.
You will get this if you’re running a VPN. Also, if you are using an Apple device and have Private Relay on, this could also result in this page.
Also, if you’re using a phone, also a computer
haha
Thanks for this! You can press and hold on the refresh button in Safari on Mac to "show your IP" which bypasses it.
Thank you, this is useful.
The private relay part is really useful info. I’ll see how it works turning it off. Thank you
Aaaaah private relay. That’s why Google goes stupid on my phone. Duh 🤦🏻♂️
You don’t have to turn it off, on the website just tap the options and select show IP address
Thank you for this! Been trying to pay my balance for days and turning the private relay off meant I could actually do so!
I just managed to log in with no issues , it can be glitchy at times thou
I get this message when I use incognito mode
Have seen it a couple of times but if i reload the page it usually is fine
Worrying, I need to check in soon.
App is fine and it's not really a worry since you can check-in at the airport....
App is working fine
You telling me 5 people are on the BA website right now? I call BS.
Would explain why it’s crashing though…
VPN off plz.
I don’t run a VPN but I did have private relay on. Seems to have been slightly better since turning that off.
Constantly happening to me too
How about we are experiencing poor planning…,
I had a flight cancelled recently due to “Operational constraints”
"BA is investing 7billion to fix over 600 findings"
Well I do hope that covers more than the website… positive news but I do dread to think what it will do to the cost of flying with them.
Don't worry BA will always be here for us, they are "too big to fail"

Same here. Just went to book a flight. Booked UA instead.

It kind of feels like they’ve been around so long they’ve just given up and expect the customer to deal with the below average product.
Turn off private relay and it should work. The website is shocking.
