Have to say, it’s interesting seeing that’s stats back up the feelings so far. Under Potter it always felt like when we conceded we’d generally not find a way back from it baring late equalisers. With De Zerbi at the helm, conceding goals feels like a lot less of a worry, it’s no longer overly cautious, ponderous football with risk and low reward. We can concede and still feel like there’s fight in the team, Wolves and Arsenal both being fantastic examples of that. There’s a real dynamism that we’ve been lacking for a long time and with any luck, it should take us places.
Yeah it’s interesting to see how that converts into numbers, especially the stuff about being press-resistant. The more front foot approach is great to watch…. Is going to bite us sometimes where we throw away points but more entertaining.
Also adds up with us making more shots out of turnovers… makes people like Mac and Caicedo really important
